FEW MILES AFTER STARTING TO DRIVE ERROR ICON WAS SHOWN ON THE DISPLAY SHOWING AIRBAG ICON AND SEATBELT ICON. WAS ABLE TO DISPLAY THE ERROR CODE: CC-ID 97. THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT WAS OCCUPIED. THE CAR WAS IN MOTION WHEN THE ERROR WAS TRIGGERED, AT ABOUT 25 MPH ON CITY STREETS.
PASSENGER RESTRAINT SYSTEM. (FAULT IN PASSENGER RESTRAINT SYSTEM AFFECTING AIRBAG, BELT TENSIONER, BELT FORCE LIMITER) WHILST DRIVING. AIR BAG RECALLED JUST TWO MONTHS AGO! AND NOW NEW ISSUE. WORRIED FOR SAFETY.
THERE IS A PROBLEM REGARDING THE AIRBAG WARNING LAMP AND THE MRS SYSTEM. NHTSA RECALL 10025849 COVERS VEHICLES PRODUCED FROM 8/31/05 TO 4/26/06. MY CAR WAS PRODUCED IN 6/2006 (JUST TWO MONTHS LATER) AND IS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM BUT IS NOT COVERED BY THE RECALL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 BMW 330XI. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE AIR BAG AND SEAT BELT WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT THE AIR BAGS MIGHT NOT DEPLOY IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BMW OF RICHFIELD (746 DANBURY RD, RIDGEFIELD, CT 06877, (203) 438-0471) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SEAT OCCUPANCY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO THE REPAIR FEES. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V071000 (AIR BAGS). THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 13V564000 (AIR BAGS) AND 17V428000 (AIR BAGS). THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO NHTSA. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 123,000.
I AM FRIGHTENED TO DEATH THAT THE AFOREMENTIONED RECALL OF ALMOST THE ENTIRE SRS CONTROLS WAS NOT PROPERLY FIXED. DUPLICATED WARNINGS FOR BOTH HAVE BEEN A DAILY PROBLEM AND AN EXACT REPLICA OF THE SYMPTOMS PRIOR. NO ACCIDENT TO REPORT, YET A COMPLETELY VALID POTENTIAL CAUSE FOR BODILY HARM! MY OTHER CAR IS 16 YEARS OLD AND JUST WAS IN FOR A NEW AND ACTIVE RECALL AS THE BAGS WERE DEPLOYING SHRAPNEL AND PLASTIC....AND SHE'S 16 YEARS OLD! I APPRECIATE YOUR HELP AND CONSIDERATION! LOOKING FORWARD TO A PROMPT RESPONSE! I'LL BE DRIVING IT TO MY NEPHEW'S WEDDING AT FORT CAMPBELL ARMY BASE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (SUN MOTOR CARS BMW, 6691 CARLISLE PIKE, MECHANICSBURG, PA 17050; (717) 697-2300) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE PASSENGER SEAT BELT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT PART OF A RECALL AND THE CONTACT HAD TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
PASSENGER RESTRAINT SYSTEM. FAULT IN PASSENGER-RESTRAINT SYSTEM AFFECTING AIRBAG, BELT TENSIONER OR BELT-FORCE LIMITER. THE AIRBAG STAYS OFF EVEN AFTER HAVING A PASSENGER ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. I ALSO GET A SEATBELT SIGN EVEN IF THE SEATBELT IS WORN BY THE PASSENGER. WENT TO DEALER ASKING FOR $200 TO CHECK PROBLEM AND $500 TO REPAIR.
AIR BAG WARNING AND SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHTS COME ON AND STAY ON. LIGHTS HAVE COME ON AND STAYED ON EACH OCCURRENCE. HAVE TAKEN VECHICLE TO DEALER AND SHOP TO HAVE LIGHT RESET AT LEAST 6 TIMES, ONLY TO HAVE BOTH WARNING LIGHTS COME ON AGAIN.

THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT WAS MADE AWARE OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V564000 (AIR BAGS) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 176,000.
THIS BMW HAD A RECALL, WE BOUGHT THIS CAR FROM A DEALER SHIP MARCH 2016, SEATBELT AND AIR BAG LIGHT JUST CAME ON. BMW SHOULD CHECK THIS OUT AT NO COST AND THE RECALL SHOULD NOT BE CLOSED OR THERE SHOULD BE AN EXCEPTION WHEN YOU BUY A USED BMW. IT'S A HAZARD IF THE AIR BAG DOES NOT DEPLOY OR THE SEATBELT DOES NOT WORK
RECENTLY THE AIRBAG AND SEAT BELT SENSOR INDICATED A FAILURE. I CAN ATTRIBUTE SUCH FAILURE TO A DEFECTIVE SENSOR (PLACED IN THE SEAT MAT). WHEN I CONTACTED BMW USA, THEY REFUSED TO INCLUDE MY VEHICLE IN THE RECALL (CAMPAIGN [XXX]). I WOULD APPRECIATE THE NHTSA / DOT TO INVESTIGATE EXPANDING THE RECALL TO ALL E90 / 2006 BMW 330XI NOT JUST MODELS PRODUCED AFTER 12/ 2005. I TOOK DELIVERY OF MY VEHICLE IN 11/2005. WAS DRIVING HOME AND THE SEAT BEAT AND AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON OUT OF NOWHERE WAS DRIVING NORMAL
DRIVERS SIDE SEAT BELT BUCKLE/TENSIONER FAILED AND WOULD NOT HOLD ONTO SEATBELT. THIS CAUSED THE SEATBELT ALARM TO SOUND AS WELL AS DEACTIVATE THE DRIVERS SIDE AIRBAG
AIR BAG AND SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHTS (RED) CAME ON INDICATING RESTRAINT SYSTEMN FAILURE. BATTER CHANGED THREE MONTHS AGO. CAR TAKEN IN TO SHOP AND SYSTEM "RESET" THINKING IT WAS DUE TO THE BATTERY BEING REPLACED. BOTH AIR BAG AND SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHTS HAVE COME BACK ON. MY MECHANIC TOLD ME THERE HAD BEEN A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM AND SUGGESTED I CONTACT DEALER. CALLED BMW OF MONROVIA, CA AND WAS INFORMED THAT MY VEHICLE ID NUMBER WAS NOT LISTED FOR THE RECALL. SINCE THERE HAVE BEEN SO MANY COMPLAINTS LISTED, SHOULD BMW ISSUE A RECALL BEFORE SOMEONE IS KILLED AND NOT AFTER A DEATH AS USUALLY HAPPENS?

AIRBAG WARNING CAME ON AND AFTER RESEARCH FOUND A RECALL. I CONTACTED BMW AND THEY CLAIM MY VIN IS NOT ONE OF THE AFFECTED BY THE RECALL, WHICH APPEARS TO BE A TREND. PLEASE ASSIST IN FINDING A SOLUTION TO THIS EXTREMELY CRITICAL SAFETY SYSTEM. *TR

CAR STARTED SHOWING "PASSENGER RESTRAINT SYSTEM MALFUNCTION". I RESEARCHED THE MATTER, AND FOUND THAT THERE IS A RECALL. WHEN I CALLED BMW AND GAVE THEM MY VIN, THEY CLAIMED THAT THERE IS NO RECALL. ALMOST EVERY OTHER BMW FROM THAT SERIES/MODEL WAS RECALLED AND GOT THE ISSUE RECTIFIED UNDER THE RECALL. PLEASE ADVISE. AIR BAG LIGHT STAYS ON, MODEL AND YEAR ID FOR RECALL, BUT NOT ID UNDER VIN NUMBER. *TR
THIS COMPLAINT IS REGARDING A PASSENGER RESTRAINT SYSTEM MALFUNCTION ALERT/ISSUE THAT SEEMS TO BE COVERED BY A RECENT BMW RECALL I FOUND ON YOUR WEBSITE. THIS ALERT STARTED TO COME UP IN MY CAR INTERMITTENTLY ALMOST 2 YEARS AGO, BUT IT NOW STAYS ON. I HEARD ABOUT A RECALL AND WAS WAITING FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FROM BMW BUT HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY. I WENT TO THE BMW CENTER IN ALEXANDRIA, VA THIS WEEK (8/15/14) TO SEE IF THIS WAS COVERED BY THE RECALL AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS NOT. I ALSO CALLED THEIR 1-800 CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER AND WAS TOLD THE SAME THING. HOWEVER, I JUST FOUND A RECALL NOTICE FOR THIS ISSUE (SEE LINK BELOW) ON THIS WEBSITE WHERE IT SPECIFICALLY INCLUDES MY MODEL YEAR CAR (BMW 2006 325XI). MY CAR IS NOW NOT PASSING VA INSPECTION DUE TO THIS ISSUE. I WAS TOLD THIS REPAIR WOULD COST OVER $2,000, WHICH I DON'T HAVE AT THIS MOMENT. PLEASE ADVISE AS TO HOW I CAN BEST EXPEDITE THE NECESSARY REPAIRS UNDER THIS RECALL, TO DEAL WITH THIS SECURITY ISSUE AND SO THAT I CAN RENEW MY INSPECTION STICKER AS REQUIRED BY VA LAW.
