THE INSPECTOR STATED THAT THE BALD TIRES COULD HAVE CAUSED THE AIR BAGS NOT TO DEPLOY. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 150,000.
TAKATA RECALL AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ISSUES, CAR WAS STATIONARY
I JUST PURCHASED A 2006 BMW 750I. BEAUTIFUL CAR. I SAW THAT IT HAD A RECALL. SO I TOOK IT TO THE BMW DEALERSHIP IN CHARLOTTE NC NORTHLAKE TO GET IT CHECKED OUT BECAUSE I JUST BOUGHT THE VEHICLE. I TOLD THEM ABOUT THE RECALL AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD CHECK IT. IT'S THE YEAR 2016 AND THEY TELL ME THAT THE RECALL WAS FOR 10 YEARS AND THAT THEY WOULDNT REPAIR THE PROBLEM. MY CAR IS 10 YEARS OLD AND I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY THEY WONT REPAIR IT. AND ITS A VERY SERIOUS PROBLEM FOR ME AND MY FAMILY. THE AIRBAG IS A VERY SERIOUS RECALL. WAS JUST HOPING THAT I COULD GET SOME HELP WITH THIS ISSUE. I DONT FEEL AS IF I SHOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS ON SUCH A SERIOUS DEFECT. AND IT WAS A RECALL FOR A REASON

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 BMW 760LI. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE FRONTAL PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT HAD TO STOP ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND RESTART THE VEHICLE FOR THE INDICATOR TO DIM. AFTERWARDS, THE AIR BAG LIGHT WOULD ILLUMINATE EVERY DAY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNAVAILABLE.
THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER TO GET IT FIXED. AFTER FIXING THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG, THE DRIVE SIDE AIR BAG FAULTY LIGHT CAME ON. MY SERVICE ADVISER ASKED ME TO LEAVE THE CAR WITH THEM WHICH I DID AND AFTER FEW DAYS THEY CALLED ME TO PICK UP THE CAR WITHOUT FIXING IT UNLESS I PAY FOR PROBABLE CAUSE FOR THE FAULTY LIGHT. ESTIMATED COST $4,000.00.
ALERT STATING PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG WAS NON-FUNCTIONAL & REMAINS THAT WAY. SHOULD BE PART OF AIR BAG RECALL. OTHER SAME YEAR, MAKE & MODEL BMWS HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR THIS PROBLEM

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE AIR BAG SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 121,000.

I STARTED GETTING AN ERROR ON MY I-DRIVE ABOUT A MONTH AGO STATING THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH MY AIR BAG/RESTRAINT SYSTEM AND FOUND THE RECALL NOTICE ON THE NHTSA WEBSITE. I CALLED MY LOCAL DEALER AND MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO GET IT REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY. I WAS TOLD THAT BMW CURRENTLY DOES NOT HAVE A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE, AND WAS FORCED TO PAY USING MY EXTENDED WARRANTY. I ENDED UP HAVING TO PAY $260 OUT OF POCKET AFTER DEDUCTIBLE AND EXTRA CHARGES BECAUSE MY EXTENDED WARRANTY COMPANY DID NOT WANT TO PAY THE HIGH HOURLY LABOR RATE OF THE DEALER. SO I HAD TO PAY THE DIFFERENCE. I TOLD THE DEALER ABOUT THE RECALL ON THE NHTSA SITE & THEY SAID THAT UNLESS BMW HAS IT IN THE SYSTEM SHOWING THAT IT AFFECTS MY SPECIFIC VEHICLE, IT IS NOT VALID... *TR

THE VEHICLE FLIPPED OVER THREE TIMES BUT NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND THE DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE NECK, BACK AND BOTH KNEES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED.
