The camber plate nut fell off inside the shock causing me to lose control and go through a field. The camber plate is the only thing holding the strut to the vehicle and should have had a locknut from the factory as it's nothing more than a ball joint. It is available to inspect. It caused me to lose all control when it separated. I own a garage and confirmed failure myself. No i called Chevy about it and even asked if they wanted to send a factory rep out to look at it. I was told no and the only way they might be able to do anything is if i take it to the dealer for repairs. It was giving a small clunk at times that i thought was normal characteristics of the aggressive suspension. I do have pictures showing the failure as well if you would like them.
WHILE BACKING UP AND TURNING IN A PARKING LOT HEARD A POP GOT OUT AND FOUND MY LEFT FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT FAILED. NOTHING WAS HIT WHEEL AND TIRE OKAY . DEALER SAID I MUST HAVE HIT SOMETHING BUT ONCE AGAIN NO DAMAGE TO THE CAR
