BOUGHT 2004 COLORADO FROM DEALER JUNE 2014 7 MONTHS LATER FRAME IS RUSTED THRU (HOLES BIG ENOUGH TO STICK 4 FINGERS IN) AND CRACKED BETWEEN CAB AND BED. BED IS AGAINST THE CAB DEALER HAS TOLD ME UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND WILL NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS BECAUSE IT PASSED MARYLAND SAFETY INSPECTION IN MAY BEFORE I BOUGHT TRUCK. STILL MAKING PAYMENTS ON TRUCK I CANNOT DRIVE. *TR
I HAVE A 2004 CHEVY COLORADO Z 71 LS. I BOUGHT IT 4 YEARS AGO AND IT HAD 58,000 MILES AND I AM THE SECOND OWNER OF THE TRUCK. IT HAS 115,000 MILES ON IT AND I ALREADY HAVE FRAME ROT. THERE IS A CRACK IN THE FRAME BETWEEN THE CAB AND BOX WHICH IS CAUSING MY BOX TOUCHING THE BACK OF THE CAB THAT'S CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE CAB. IF YOU COULD PLEASE CONTACT ME. *TR
I TOOK THIS COLORADO 4 DOOR VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP YESTERDAY FOR SCHEDULED "DETAIL" WORK, AND THEY DISCOVERED THE CABIN CARPETING TO BE SATURATED WITH LIQUID AND MOLD GROWING ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE CARPETING WITH FREE FLOWING "WATER" UNDER THE CARPET THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE FLOOR FRONT TO BACK OF THE CABIN. I HAVE NOT DRIVEN THE VEHICLE FOR SEVERAL MONTHS BECAUSE I CURRENTLY AM HEALING FROM A KNEE INJURY, BUT I NOTICED YESTERDAY THAT THERE WAS CONDENSATION ON THE INSIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD WHEN I DROVE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. ONLY TWO DEALERSHIPS OWNED THE VEHICLE PRIOR TO MY PURCHASE OF THE VEHICLE FROM THE SECOND DEALERSHIP OWNER IN 2005, AND IT HAS BEEN UNDER GOOD CARE BY ME. I WAS NOT AWARE OF THE WET CARPET WHEN I TOOK IT FOR THE DETAIL WORK YESTERDAY; I HAD A RUBBER MAT UNDER MY FEET. THE VEHICLE HAS ALWAYS HAD RUBBER MATTING FRONT AND BACK. WHEN THE DEALERSHIP REPORTED TO ME YESTERDAY THE WET CONDITIONS DESCRIBED ABOVE, I RESEARCHED THE INTERNET AND DISCOVERED THAT THERE IS DOCUMENTATION RELATED TO THIS ISSUE THAT HAS BEEN DETERMINED TO BE A STRUCTURAL DEFECT IN THE COLORADO. OTHER THAN THIS PROBLEM, THE VEHICLE IS IN OUTSTANDING CONDITION. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHEVROLET COLORADO. THE CONTACT OBSERVED WATER LEAKING ON THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE FLOOR PANEL AREA. THE WATER ACCUMULATION RESULTED TO MOLD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THERE WAS UNCERTAINTY OF THE REPAIR PERFORMED ON THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE CONTINUED AFTER THE SERVICE REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED WHICH THERE WAS NO RESOLUTION. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 95,000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 99, 333.
FOUND LARGE AMOUNT OF WATER ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CABIN (FRONT AND BACK) OF 2004 COLORADO AFTER A HEAVY RAIN. WINDOWS AND DOORS WERE CLOSED. CARPET IS SOAKING WET AND IS BEGINNING TO SMELL LIKE MILDEW. SEATS AND SIDES OF CABIN AREA WERE NOT WET. *TR
I HAVE WATER LEAKING INTO THE CAB ONTO MY DRIVERS SIDE FLOORBOARD RIGHT NEXT TO THE KICK PANEL. I HAVE TRIED TO FIX IT USING TSB BULLETIN NO: 04-08-57-004A FROM AUGUST 2006. THE PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED AND THE PROBLEM IS STILL THE SAME. *TR
THIS IS PERTAINING A CHEVY 2004 COLORADO LS PICK-UP TRUCK WITH BLACK PAINT. I'M NOTICING THE PAINT IS BLISTERING. THIS IS NOT ONLY HAPPENING ON THE HOOD, BUT ALSO ALONG THE SIDE PANELS. WHEN THE PAINT COMES OFF, IT IS GOING TO BARE METAL. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHEVROLET COLORADO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN HE OPENED THE TAILGATE, THE CABLE FAILED AND THE TAILGATE WOULD NOT REMAIN OPEN. THE DEALER DID NOT INSPECT THE VEHICLE, HOWEVER, THEY STATED THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE CABLE. THERE WAS NO RECALL LISTED ON THE NHTSA WEBSITE. AS OF AUGUST 3, 2007, THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 75,000. WATER LEAKING INTO CAB OF 2004 CHEVROLET COLORADO, PER DEALER THIS WOULD NOT BE COVERED, TALKED TO LOCAL GMC DEALER THEY STATED THIS WAS A PROBLEM WITH THIS SAME MODEL BUT (GMC) AND HAVE FIXED NUMBERES PICKUPS. THEY FIXED THE PICKUP AND CHARGED ME $780.00 FOR THIS REPAIR
DRIVERS DOOR HITTING BOTTOM REAR OF DOOR JAM, REPAIRED AND PAINTED UNDER WARRNTYA. PASENGERS DOOR NOT CLOSING WITHOUT SLAMMING. REAR DOOR REHUNG AND FRONT DOOR REHUNG AND CLOSE OK BUT THERE IS A 3/32 INCH GAP AT THE BOTTOM IN BETWEEN THE DOORS AND A 3/8 INCH GAP AT THE TOP. THE DEALER SAYS THAT IS OK AND I SHOULD ACCEPT IT SINCE THE DOORS WORK OF. I DO NOT AGREE AND FEEL THAT IF THAT IS AS GOOD AS IT GETS THAT THE VEHICLE WAS BENT, RACKED, TORQUED DURING MANUFACTURE OR TRANSPORT.*AK

PROBLEMS WITH DOOR LOCKS ON 2004 CHEVROLET COLORADO.*MR SEVERAL HOURS AFTER THE TRUCK WAS DELIVERED THE CONSUMER DISCOVERED THAT THERE WAS ONLY ONE KEY ACCESS TO THE VEHICLE ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE. THERE WAS NO KEY LOCK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. SOMEONE HAS TO UNLOCK THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR THEN CRAWL OVER TO UNLOCK THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR FROM THE INSIDE. THE DEALER WAS INFORMED AND TOLD THE CUSTOMER THAT THE VEHICLE WAS DELIVERED FROM THE FACTOR THAT WAY. *NM
PAINT ON TRUCK, MIDNIGHT BLUE, VERY DELICATE. CHIPS AND SCRATCHES ALL OVER TRUCK. SCRATCHES DOWN TO PRIMER. OWNED JUST OVER A MONTH, EXCELLENT TRUCK, SKIMPY PAINT JOB.*AK
THE WIND NOISE IS ABSOLUTELY UNBEARABLE. AFTER YOU GET UP TO 40 MPH AND CLOSE THE WINDOWS IT SOUINDS LIKE A TORNADP INSIDE THE TRUCK, AND THIS SHOULD NOT BE. CALLED THE REGINAL REP AND WAS TOLD THAT IS THE WAY IT IS AND THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT. *AK
LESS THAN A WEEK AFTER I PURCHASED THE 2004 GM COLORADO PICKUP TRUCK THE TAILGATE OPEN ON THE EXPRESSWAY AND THE CABINET I WAS HAULING FELL OFF THE TRUCK INTO THE ROAD CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. I WAS SURE THE DOOR WAS SHUT SECURELY BUT SOMEHOW IT JUST OPENED UP.*AK
