I was driving on the interstate and the engine power reduced light came on twice. It was driveable but I got off the interstate to state roads so I could drive slower. It acts like it wants to stop. I have been afraid to drive it again.
The engine power reduced light came on twice. I have been feeling a slight hesitation when driving for a couple of months but this is the first time that light came on. It happened on i65n about 140 miles from Montgomery. I got off the interstate at Montgomery so I could drive slower and made it home to Centre, AL. But now I'm afraid to drive it far.
When it rains the driver side fills up inside with water causing a puddle behind the driver in the rear of the car. This causes mold inside the car and also creates condensation while driving. I googled it and many blogs have been discussing the problem. I brought it to 2 different shops and the air vents were blown out to no avail. I also called the dealer and they were not aware of any problems. I have allergies and this makes my car trigger attacks.
When I come to a stop my auto stop engages and when i accelerate to continue driving my car won’t turn back on and stays dead for up to 20 minutes. I have almost been rear ended numerous times. It does this every single time. So now when I’m coming to a stop I put it in neutral before being at a complete stop.
On multiple occasions since July of 2022 my vehicle has had a reduced engine power warning and caused dangerous situation where the speed limit was 70 and I couldn’t go over 25 and I was miles from an exit. Took it in had throttle body replaced, and it happened again. Took it in again replaced the gas pedal position sensor. Happened again replaced the throttle body again and this time we broke down in Nashville on our way to Florida. Then 10 miles away from Nashville same issue. I took it to the nearest dealer and here I wait, thousands of dollars into it and not knowing how to proceed.
CAR DIES WHILE IN AUTO STOP. ONLY HAPPENS IN AUTO STOP, AT STOP LIGHTS, IN DRIVE THUR.
TRUNK RELEASE STOPPED WORKING ON FOB AS WELL AS THE RELEASE BUTTON ON BACK OF CAR ON THE TRUNK. I WAS TOLD AT THE DEALERSHIP THERE WAS AN INTERNAL SHORTENING ON THE DECK LID LATCH.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. THE PART I NEED FOR MY CAR NO LONGER AVAILABLE 'OIL CONTROL VALVE' SO THEREFORE I CAN'T EVEN GET A STICKER FOR MY TAG. MY CAR KEEP FAILING EMISSION DUE TO THIS AND THIS IS RIDICULOUS I HAVE TO STILL PAY A CAR NOTE FOR A CAR I CAN'T DRIVE.
TAMARA RECALL THE TRUNK RELEASE STOP WORKING AND WAS BLOWING FUSES.
SEVERAL ISSUES, THE HEAT CONTROL KNOB HAD A SHORT SEVERAL MONTHS AFTER BUYING NEW IN 2018. RECENTLY 2018, THE STEERING COLUMN HAS BEEN MAKING A POPPING SOUND EVERYTIME I TURN. TAKEN TO DEALER 3 TIMES AND STILL MAKES NOISE. AFTER TAKING IT ON A VACATION, THE AUTO STOP BATTERY DID NOT WORK WHEN I CAME OFF THE EXPRESS WAY. NOW, THE CAR IS FILLING WITH WATER EVERYTIME IT RAINS ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. ONLY 4 YEARS OLD WITH 36000 MILES AND HAD MANY ISSUES WITH THIS CAR. NOT HAPPY
FIRST COMPLAINT WOULD BE THE BUTTON ON THE FACE OF THE RADIO SCREEN IS MELTING AND WHEN TRYING TO OPEN THE BLACK COLOR COMES OF INTO YOUR HAND. SECOND COMPLAINT IS THE SIDE OF THE DRIVERS SIDE WHOLE SEAT SWITCH COMPARTMENT CAME OFF OF THE SEAT HINGES.
THE TRUNK RELEASE STOPPED WORKING ON FOB AND THE TRUNK RELEASE BUTTON ON THE BACK OF THE CAR ON TRUNK.
I WAS DRIVING ON A MAIN STREET, COMING UP TO A FULL STOP WITH CARS IN FRONT & BEHIND ME. I PROCEEDED TO SLOWLY ACELERATE WHEN THE LIGHT CHANGED TO GREEN. AT THAT POINT, THE CAR BEGAN TO MOVE BACKWARDS WHILE IN DRIVE. I QUICKLY PRESSED ON MY BRAKES, CAR STOPPED. I STTEMPTED THIS 2 MORE TIMES, SAME OUTCOME. AT THAT POINT, I PLACED THE CARR IN PARK, TURNED CAR OFF & BACKON AGAIN, CAR BEGAN TO MOVE FORWARD.
WHILE DRIVING, THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT TURNS ON RANDOMLY. WHEN STOPPING, THE CAR TURNS OFF. I TRY TO RESTART IT AND THE IGNITION FAILS. I NEED TURN THE KEY A FEW TIMES UNTIL THE CAR CAN FINALLY START. DEALERSHIP HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM.
I WAS DRIVING ON MY WAS TO SAN JOSE ON ISABEL AVE ON HIGHWAY 84 AND MY CAR JUST SHOUT DOWN WIITHOUT ANY WARNING SIGN IT WAS THE SCARIEST TIME GOOD THING I DIDNT HAVE MY KIDS WITH ME. I WAS NOT ABLE TO TURN ON MY CAR AGAIN AND THE OFFICER HAD TO PUSH ME TO A CLOSE BY SHOULDER BECUASE WHERE THE CAR STOP THERE WAS NO SHOULDER AND IT WAS A ONE WAY TRAFFIC SO I WAS BLOCKING TRAFFIC AND IT WAS IN A CURVE SO I COULD OF GET HIT ON THE BACK I HAD TO CALL AAA TO HELP ME TOW MY CAR NOW I CANT EVEN TURN IT ON
I PURCHASED THIS CAR ON 02/09/16, 1 1/2 HOURS AFTER DRIVING IT OFF THE LOT, I WAS DRIVING DOWN A MAIN ROAD AT APPROPRIATELY 57 MPH AND MY MOON ROOF GLASS EXPLODED. THERE WERE NO CARS CLOSE TO THE FRONT OF ME. THE GLASS APPEARS TO BE BOWING OUT OF THE VEHICLE, NOT INTO THE VEHICLE, AS YOU WOULD EXPECT IF A ROCK HAD HIT IT. SEE THE ATTACHED PICTURE. THERE WAS NO SOUND OF ANYTHING HITTING THE ROOF, IT SIMPLY SOUNDED LIKE A BOMB EXPLODING IN MY VEHICLE AND GLASS WENT EVERYWHERE. MY DAUGHTER WAS IN THE FRONT SEAT AND THE GLASS HIT HER FACE. I CALLED THE LOCAL CHEVY DEALER AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO THAT IT WAS LIKELY A ROCK. NOW I HAVE TO FILE A CLAIM WITH MY INSURANCE TO FIX THE GLASS, MY ROOF TOP AND TRUNK LID AS THE GLASS SCRATCHED AND ETCHED THE PAINT. SOUNDS LIKE THIS HAS HAPPENED TO QUITE A FEW PEOPLE AFTER SEARCHING SIMILAR INSTANCES WITH THIS VEHICLE. MIGHT BE SOMETHING CHEVY SHOULD LOOK INTO. THANKFULLY MY DAUGHTER AND MYSELF SUSTAINED NO INJURIES, ESPECIALLY WITH THE GLASS HITTING HER FACE. IT LEFT A SMALL RED MARK BUT DID NOT CUT HER.
2015 CHEVY MALIBU 1LT OPERATING VEHICLE AT NORMAL SPEED LIMIT IN CITY TRAFFIC AND USED INTERIOR HEAT FOR CLIMATE CONTROL MODES BUTTONS. A SUDDEN "CLICKING' SOUND CAME FROM FAN SPEED CONTROL WHEN SWITCHING TO THE CLIMATE CONTROL MODES. SOUNDED MOSTLY FROM THE DRIVER SIDE, AND LAST FOR 2 TO 3 SECONDS. NO WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON BUT MAY HAVE BEEN STUCK IN SOME RE-SET PROCESS. NOISE SEEMED TO BE FROM DEFROST AND HEAT CONTROL MODES. DEALER REPLACED INTERIOR FAN ACTUATOR AND SYSTEM NOW FUNCTIONS AS INTENDED. I ALSO DESCRIBED THIS TO THE DEALER AS SOUNDING LIKE A FLUTTERING SOUND FROM THE FAN SPEED CONTROL. DID NOT OCCUR ON THE PASSENGER SIDE, JUST DRIVER SIDE. HAS ONLY 2300 MILES THUS FAR.
WE WAS GETTING ON THE HWY. ON RAMP ENTERED HWY. HEARD A LOUD EXPLOSION AND THE SUNROOF HAS EXPLODED LEAVING A 4 INCH HOLE IN SUNROOF AND 12 INCHES WIDE THE GLASS HIT TRUNK AND SCRATCH ON TRUNK OF CAR. BRAND NEW CAR 1416 MILES ON IT. ALSO I WAS 200 MILES FROM HOME. WENT TO POPLAR BLUFF MO CHEVY DEALER AND THEY SAID ITS COMMON WITH THE CARS NOW THE BODY FLEX AND THE GLASS IS SO TIGHT THEY EXPLODE. I WAS ADVISED TO CALL MY DEALER SO I DID THEY SAID FIRST THING DO YOU HAVE FULL COVERAGE? I WAS MAD AS HELL. THIS IS THE GLASS OR DEFAULT IN CAR. I LOOKED ONLINE AND THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM...
