WHILE EXITING INTERSTATE WE LOST ALL PULLING POWER. AFTER A FEW MOMENTS IT LET US MOVE THE VEHICLE BUT PULLING POWER WAS SLIPPING, THEN WE LOST PULL AGAIN AND HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED. THERE WERE NO SERVICE ENGINE LIGHTS OR ANYTHING AND NOW THEY ARE TELLING ME THAT THE TRANSMISSION IS BAD. I HAVE JUST OVER 110,000 MILES ON THIS TRUCK AND THE REPAIR SHOP TELLS ME THAT THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH THE TRANSMISSIONS ON THIS VEHICLE.
WHILE DRIVING ON FREEWAY VEHICLE SHUT OFF POWER, TRUCK STARTED TO SHAKE,COULD NOT TURN ALMOST GOT INTO ACCIDENT FINALLY WAS ABLE TO GET TO CURB,ALL LIGHT WERE ON TRUCK,WOULDN'T START AGAIN.WAIT ALL MOST 1 HR.IT STARTED.TOOK IN TO CHEVY DEALERSHIP THREE TIME THEY KEPT SAY NOTHING WRONG ,DIAGNOSED BATTERY OK COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG..I WOULDN'T LEAVE ASK HIM TO CHECK NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE MECHANIC SAY OK.. NOW THEY LOOK INTO MORE COMPLETELY SAY ON MODULAR STARTING MECHANISM... NO RECALLS ON THIS THERE ARE QUITE OF PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS ONLINE. .SIMPLE FIX REPLACE NEGATIVE CABLE!!!!
THE AC CONDENSER IN THIS TRUCK FAILED RIGHT AFTER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY ENDED, LIKE IN MANY OTHER GM TRUCKS IN THE YEARS 2014-17. WITH VERY LITTLE RESEARCH IT IS KNOWN TO BE A POORLY WELDED AC CONDENSER WHICH DESTINE TO FAIL. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE, AND SHOULD BE CONSIDERED TO BE A RECALL FOR THESE TRUCKS AND OTHER VEHICLES LOSING AC. WITHOUT PROPER FUNCTIONING AC, I CAN NOT FILTER AIR COMING IN THE VEHICLE WHICH IS A NECESSITY TO OPERATE THE VEHICLE. I CAN'T FILTER OUT FIRE SMOKE WHICH IS ABUNDANT IN CA EVERY FIRE SEASON, VEHICLE WINDOWS MUST BE UP AND N95 MASKS ARE REQUIRED WHEN EXPOSED TO THE SMOKE. I CAN'T FILTER OUT CORONA VIRUS, WHICH IS THE NEW NORMAL, MASKS ARE REQUIRED TO BE WARN AT ALL TIMES OUTSIDE. I CAN'T FILTER OUT ANYTHING IN THE AIR THAT REQUIRES ME TO ROLL UP THE WINDOWS; SMOG, EXHAUST FORM A CLOSE VEHICLE, ETC... WHEN IT IS HOT OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE BECOMES DEATH TRAP, THE TEMPERATURE GETS TO UNSAFE LEVELS AND THE OPERATOR HAS NOT CHOICE BUT TO EXPOSE THE PASSENGER TO THE ELEMENTS WHICH THESE DAYS IS A HEALTH AND SAFETY ISSUE, AND IT IS ONLY GOING TO GET WORSE. AC IS NOT A LUXURY ANYMORE, FILTERING TEMPERATURE APPROPRIATE AIR IS A NECESSITY, AND REQUIRED FOR SAFE HANDLING OF THE VEHICLE.

MY AIR CONDITIONING CONTINUES TO GO OUT AND LEAK OUT THE FLUIDS,I HAVE HAD THE SYSTEM CHECKED AND A LEAK COULD NOT BE FOUND. I LIVE IN AZ.AND NEED COOLING WHILE USING MY VEHICLE. HELLO I OWN A 2014 SILVERADO AND THE A/C GAVE OUT AT 67K MILES ON IT. I KNOW THIS ISSUE IS DEALT WITH ANYONE IN THE UNITED STATES WITH ANY GM TRUCK FROM 2014-2015, GM THEMSELVES HAS SAID TO PEOPLE WHEN THEY FIX THEIR TRUCKS THAT IT WAS A DESIGN FLAW.YET THERE IS NOT TSB OR RECALL FOR THE MILLIONS OF PEOPLE THAT PAID 50K+ FOR A TRUCK. I JUST WANT A REPAIR OF THE A/C BECAUSE PEOPLE NEED THE A/C TO WORK ON HOT SUMMER DAYS, PEOPLE CAN HAVE HEALTH COMPLICATIONS BECAUSE OF IT THANK YOU.
2014 CHEVY SILVERADO LTZ 157479 MILES JUST DRIVE SHORT DISTANCES BUT MY TRUCK HAS SLIPPED GEARS, DELAYS CHANGING GEARS AND NONE RESPONDING SHIFT WHEN IN COMPLETE STOP. WHEN DRIVING UPHILL TRUCK SHIFT FROM SECOND GEAR TO FOURTH GEAR NOT GOING BACK TO ANY OTHER GEAR FORCING ME TO STOP COMPLETE TO START ALL OVER AND HOPEFULLY MAKING THE HILL BUT USUALLY DON?T WORK. I BROUGHT THIS ISSUE TO GM DEALERSHIP AND THEY GAVE ME THE RUN AROUND AND NOW THE ONLY THING THEY CAN DO IS GIVE $200 OFF FOR A NEW TRANSMISSION GIVING ME THE REST TO PAYOFF A ISSUE THAT HAS IN MOST OF THIS TRUCK. IS VERY UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND IT LOOKS THAT GM GOT AWAY WITH ALL THIS ENGINEERING ISSUE LEAVING PEOPLE LIKE ME WITH THE PROBLEM AND ON TOP MAKE MORE PROFIT ON THEIR OWN MISTAKES. THE WAX COATING TO PREVENT RUST ON THE TRUCK'S FRAME IS FALLING OFF. THE FRAME HAS A MAJOR RUST PROBLEM; THE TRUCK HAVING A LOW MILEAGE OF 25,801 AT THE TIME I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH CHEVY CASE #9-559725037 AND #9-5593674272. THE TRUCK WAS EXAMINED AT BALISE CHEVROLET OF SPRINGFIELD MA. PHONE #413-734-6498, FAX #413-734-4421 WHERE THEY TOOK PHOTOS OF THE PROBLEM. BALISE ADVISED ME IT WOULD COST $1200.00 TO FIX THIS RUST PROBLEM. BALISE ASSIGNED A REPAIR ORDER #667705 AND CONTACTED GM. GM ADVISED THE DEALERSHIP THEY WOULD NOT COVER ANY OF THE COSTS, EVEN THOUGH THIS IS KNOWN PROBLEM TO GM IN THE MANUFACTURING OF CHEVY PICK-UP TRUCKS FROM 2014 TO 2018. I DISCOVERED THE FRAME RUST ONLY BY CHANCE WHEN MY TRUCK WAS ON A LIFT FOR A FLAT TIRE REPAIR WHILE AT ANOTHER DEALERSHIP. I LOOKED INTO THE INTERNET AND FOUND NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS FOR CHEVY TRUCK FRAME RUST, (NHTSA #S P10564D AND P10564H, TSB # 14002A, NHTSA ID # 10067212) AND A MANUFACTURER COMMUNICATION # SB-144002A. IT IS MY BELIEF THE RUST FRAME PROBLEM SHOULD BE CORRECTED BY GM/CHEVY BECAUSE IT IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT KNOWN TO THE COMPANY. GM/CHEVY SHOULD HAVE SENT OUT A RECALL ON THIS HIDDEN DEFECT, LONG BEFORE I DISCOVERED IT BY CHANCE AND MY 3 YEAR WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED. PLEASE NOTE THE LOW MILEAGE OF MY TRUCK IS UNDER THE 36,000 MILE WARRANTY.
THE ENGINE BRAKING COMES ACROSS THE DASH AT BETWEEN SPEEDS 50 AND 55 WHEN FOLLOWING ANOTHER VEHICLE BY PRESSING ON THE BRAKES 3 TIMES. AFTER THAT EVERYTIME I STEP ON THE BRAKE PEDAL THE TRANSMISSION DOWNSHIFTS ALL THE WAY TO FIRST GEAR.SO DON'T PUSH ON YOUR BRAKE PEDAL MORE THAN 3 TIMES OR YOU WILL BE IN FIRST GEAR. ALSO I WANT INCLUDE THAT THIS IS A WORK TRUCK 2 IN THE STANDARD CAB
MY TRUCK ISN'T CHANGING GEARS LIKE IT SHOULD AND JERKS WHEN I SLOW DOWN AND APPLY THE BRAKES. MY MECHANIC SAID MY TRANSMISSION IS BAD AND THERE'S A RECALL ON MY MAKE & MODEL TRUCK
THE AC HAS RANDOMLY STOPPED WORKING. PROPER MAINTENANCE HAS BEEN GIVEN TO THIS TRUCK. IT IS NOT THE COMPRESSOR AS THE COMPRESSOR STILL TURNS ON. TRIED RECHARGING IT WITH FREON. MANY, MANY WEBSITES HAVE DESCRIBED THE PROBLEM COMING FROM THE AC LINES AND HOW IT WAS DESIGNED BY GM. IF IT IS A DESIGN FLAW, NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES WE FIX IT AND SPEND, IT WILL KEEP GOING ON. GM NEEDS TO BE RESPONSIBLE AND FIX THIS ISSUE
TRUCK STARTED BLOWING WARM AIR, LOSS OF FREON FROM CONDENSER. $1,200.00 FIX . ALSO, A LEAK OF FREON AT THE TRANSMISSION COOLER COIL.
THE AIR CONDITIONING CONDENSER SPLIT AT THE SEAMS, LOSS OF ALL COOLANT.
COMPRESSOR FOR AIR CONDITIONING SEIZED UP AND CAUSED THE BELT TO BRAKE THE CONDENSER WAS ALSO HEAVILY LEAKING. FIRST COMMENT OUT OF THE SERVICE MANAGERS MOUTH WAS THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH SILVERADOS AND SIERRAS. DON'T KNOW WHY THE SUV WERE RECALLED AND THE TRUCKS WERE NOT. WITH ONLY 30000 MILES IT IS VERY UNACCEPTABLE
TAKATA RECALL A/C CONDENSER HAS A LEAK. QUITE A PAIN WHEN THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE WITH THESE CHEVY TRUCKS.
WE STARTED HAVING A PROBLEM WITH OUR AIR CONDITION FOR 3 MONTHS NOW, IT JUST BLOWS WARM AIR. WE TRIED TAKING IT TO THE DEALER BUT WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS NOT COVERED WITH THE WARRANTY. WE FOUND OUT THAT THERE WAS A LEAK IN THE CONDENSER. I'VE FOUND OUT THAT THERE WAS SO MUCH PEOPLE COMPLAINING WITH THE SAME ISSUE & WITH THE SAME VEHICLE. WHETHER THE CAR WAS RUNNING OR STATIONARY OR IN WHICH ROAD IT WAS GOING THE AIR CONDITIONER DOES NOT WORK AT ALL IT WAS JUST BLOWING HOT AIR.
TRUCK HAS 53,000 MILES AND AIR CONDITION WENT OUT. NO LONGER COVERED BY WARRANTY ACCORDING TO CHEVY DEALER.
MY AIR CONDITIONER STARTED BLOWING ONLY HOT AIR AND I NOTICED A LEAK IN THE CONDENSER. THIS IS APPARENTLY A HUGE ISSUE WHICH GM KNOWS ABOUT WITH 2014-2016 SILVERADOS. THERE HAVE BEEN LAWSUITS FILED AND MANY COMPLAINTS SUBMITTED. THERE IS OBVIOUSLY A FAULTY PART OR PARTS THAT GM KNOWS ABOUT AND REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE.
WELD ON AC CONDENSER DEFECTIVE
PROBLEM WITH THE A/C UNIT NOT STAYING COLD. ON LINE FOUND THAT GM KNEW ABOUT DEFECTIVE A/C UNITS BEFORE VEHICLES WERE EVEN TOUCHED THE DEALERS LOTS.TWO DEFECTIVE COMPONENTS- (1)-LINE LEADING FROM THE COMPRESSOR TO THE CONDENSOR.(2)-DEFECTIVE AIR CONDITIONER CONDENSERS.SYSTEM WAS FILLED A/C RETURNED AFTER TWO DAYS WARM AGAIN-THIS A REPAIR THE DEALER SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR AND TO HAVE REPAIRED WITH NO COST TO CUSTOMER.VEHICLE WAS TESTED BY ME STATIONARY AND AGAIN WHILE DRIVING .NOTICEABLE SMOKE COULD BE SEEN ON AND OFF WHEN TRUCK IS RUNNING BEING STATIONARY.
TAKATA RECALL, MY 2014 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 6.2L HIGH COUNTRY HAS HAD AIR CONDITIONING PROBLEMS SINCE I BOUGHT IT, THE AC LINES DEVELOPE PIN HOLE SIZE LEAKS EVEN AFTER FIXING IT OVER AND OVER, THE AC LINE HAS NO BRACKETS OR BRACE TO KEEP THE LINE FROM MOVING OR SHIFTING WHEN DRIVING ON RUFF TERRAIN OR SOME WHAT BUMPY ROADS. I'VE HAD 6 LEAKS FIXED YEAR AFTER YEAR NEVER IN THE SAME SPOT, THE AC LINES DESIGN IS HORRIBLE AND I'M TIRED OF PAYING FOR SOMETHING THAT SHOULD HAD BEEN PREVENTED OR RECALLED BY NOW!! ALMOST EVERYBODY WITH THESE MODELS AND YEAR OF TRUCKS HAVE ISSUES WITH THE AC, IT'S TIME TO FIX THE PROBLEMS NOW!!
AC CONDENSER LEAKING. TRUCK HAS 111,500 MILES AND AC WENT OUT WHILE ON A TRIP. HAD AC SERVICED, ONE MONTH LATER TOOK IT BACK AND SHOP SHOWED ME THAT THE CONDENSER IS LEAKING AT THE WELD IN THE UPPER RIGHT HAND CORNER OF THE CONDENSER. SAME LOCATION THAT I SAW TODAY ON SEVERAL OTHER PICTURES OF LEAKING CONDENSERS. GM IS NOT INSURING THAT THE PART IS HIGH QUALITY. RECALL SHOULD BE MANDATED IMMEDIATELY.
THE AIR CONDITIONING CONDENSER WAS NOT ENGINEERED TO A REASONABLE QUALITY SPECIFICATION. THIS CONDITION CAUSED IT TO CRACK AND ALLOW THE FREON TO LEAK OUT. I REPLACED THE CONDENSER AND RECIEVER DRYER (SINCE THE SYSTEM WAS UNPRESSURIZED) AND THEN PAY A PROFESSIONAL TO EVACUATE THE SYSTEM AND RECHARGE IT. I WORK WITH ANOTHER OWNER OF A 2014 SILVERADO. HE HAD THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM. THAT'S WHAT PROMPTED MY TO SEE IF THERE WAS A RECALL. I ALSO SAW A BRIEF SEGMENT ON CHICAGO NBC NEWS (YOUTUBE) ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. GENERAL MOTORS NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY YET. PLEASE HELP!
DEFECTIVE AIR CONDITIONING. THE TRUCK HAS AN AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM FAIL BEFORE IT HIT 65K. AND BEING LESS THAN 4 YEARS OLD. REALLY FRUSTRATING WHEN A DEALER WANTS 1100 TO 1300 DOLLARS TO FIX SOMETHING THAT SHOULD NOT BE BROKEN AFTER ONLY 65K MI.
DOORS WILL NOT LOCK USING THE LOCK BUTTON. LOCKS AND UNLOCK MANUALLY ONLY IF YOU ARE ABLE TO CATCH LOCK AND MANUALLY PULL IT UP TO OPEN OR PUSH IT DOWN TO LOCK. THIS OCCURS WHEN CAR IS STATIONARY OR IN MOTION WHICH MAKES IT HARD TO ENTER VEHICLE URGENTLY OR EXIT IN THE SAME MANNER (URGENTLY).
