Transmission had to replaced 2/2023 with 140,810 miles.
The audio system changes radio stations on its on. It also attaches or disconnects Bluetooth devices on its on. This has affected the video player and it no longer works.
Trailer brake system alert pop up a lot. With no reason.
Paint is failing on hood and on roof towards windshield. Cannot be brought back by detail. Paint in gray and black is known to fail. My car is gray.
The hood paint and roof paint are fading much faster then the rest of the car. I have seen this on alot of 2015 Black Tahoes. The dealer has confirmed this on black 2015 Tahoes. It is available for inspection when requested.
the radio, the vehicle will just completely shut down, and stop in the middle of driving. the vehicle has been to repair person, who can't seem to find out what is happening. I have not taken it to a Chevy dealership this time, nothing has been inspected by police or insurance. no crash has happened, yet!!!!!! just before the engine would cut off, the stabilitrack would light up, but that is because of no steering during the time the engine shut down. It take the vehicle about 3 seconds to 1 minute for the vehicle reset and restart. this is very dangerous because I could get into an accident. the mechanic I took my SUV to couldn't find a code to repair the issue. there is definitely something wrong with my SUV
My 2015 Tahoe LTZ keeps displaying a " trailer service brake system" The vehicle has also cut off while driving and the radio screen and windows lock up unable to control. The vehicle will also not turn on until something about rolling the driver side window down and up to allow functionality. The battery has been replaced and have had the truck carefully electronically examined with not direct apparent faults. I'm told the wire harness between the body control modules is defective and or engineered of low quality with poor connections and wires. This is a critical unsafe hazard that needs immediate attention before someone gets hurt.
the rear powerlift gate randomly closes while getting groceries bags out of the back of the car it can automatically close on a person a seriously injure them it as almost closed on us several time but we were able to get away quickly if a younger child or teen is using this is dangerous in the cold weather is seams to worsen the symptoms this is a very serious safety issue that needs to be addressed it has happened on numerous occasions seems to happen more in cold temperatures. I have taken it to deanship to report numerous times but they don't see an issue it doesn't happen for them but it has happened to numerous people
Service trailer brake system alarm Constantly going off causing a distraction to the point the Tahoe is unsafe to drive.
Trailer brake service message constantly dinging and you can’t dismiss the message. Dealership replaced a fuse and thought they fixed it and by the next day the message was back and dinging non stop. It is so distracting it’s almost unsafe to drive. Can’t see my speed or anything on my dash because the message will not go away and the dinging noise is unbearable.
VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH CHEVY MYLINK INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM IN WHICH CONTROLS CAN BE ACCESS VIA TOUCHSCREEN AND BUTTONS ON THE CENTER CONSOLE. SYSTEM RAMDOMLY AND ERRATICALLY CHANGES SETTINGS SUCH AS RADIO STATIONS, BLUETOOTH SETTINGS, LANGUAGE SETTINGS, MEDIA SETTINGS, NAVIGATION AND SCREEN WOULD FREEZE WHICH MAKES SYSTEM UNRESPONSIVE TO CONTROL BUTTONS WHEN PRESSED. THIS ISSUE WAS BROUGHT TO LOCAL DEALER'S ATTENTION AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE COMPUTER BOARD NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND SINCE THE WARRANTY IS OUT, THEN OWNER WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE HEFTY $1000 PLUS PARTS AND LABOR COST. THIS ISSUE HAS STATED AFFECTING VEHICLE SEVERAL MONTHS BEFORE WARRANTY HAVE EXPIRED BUT ISSUE HAS PROGRESSIVELY WORSEN SINCE. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE ESPECIALLY DURING OPERATION OF VEHICLE BECAUSE IT CAUSES A LOT OF DISRTRACTIONS AND OPERATOR CAN EASILY LOSE FOCUS AND CONTROL IN AN ATTEMP TO TROUBLESHOOT THE ISSUE. ALSO, THERE IS NO OPTION TO POWER OFF THE SYSTEM WHILE IN OPERATION OR WHEN THE IGNITION IS ON.
MY A/C JUST STOP WORK ON MY 2015 CHEVY TAHOE LT AND FOUND OUT THAT IT WAS LEAKING FROM THE TOP FRONT RIGHT OF MY CONDENSER THERE IS NO DAMAGE TO THE CONDENSER DUE TO GM DEFECTIVE PART. IT WAS A RECALL BUT I NEVER RECEIVED ANY NOTICE
THE AC ON MY UNIT QUIT WORKING AND RESULTED IN MY HAVING TO REPLACE THE CONDENSER AND COMPRESSOR. I WAS TOLD IT WAS DUE TO A CRACK.
I HAVE A 2015 CHEVY TAHOE THAT JUST RANDOMLY STOPS IN TRAFFIC. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO NELSON HALL CHEVY IN MERIDIAN, MS AND ALSO TO HERRIN-GEAR IN JACKSON MS. THEY HAVE BOTH SAID THEY CAN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. I WENT TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP TO TRY TO TRADE THE VEHICLE AND THEY WON'T TAKE IT BECAUSE THEY CLAIM THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE TRANSMISSION. I HAVE TAKEN IT IN FOUR TIMES FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. THE AIR CONDITIONER STOPPED WORKING LATE IN 2019. IT STARTED GETTING COLD OUT SO WE DIDN'T NEED IT AT THE TIME. COVID 19 HIT AND I DIDN'T DRIVE THE CAR FOR WEEKS ON END. SO DIDN'T NEED AC. WHEN WE DID HAVE TO USE IT THE AC WAS BLOWING HOT AIR. THERE WAS AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR 5 YEARS 60K MILES THAT WE DID NOT KNOW ABOUT. WE NEVER RECEIVED INFORMATION ON IT. WE HAVE BEEN TO THE DEALER MANY TIMES FOR OTHER SERVICE RELATED STUFF OVER THE YEARS AND NO ONE EVER MENTIONED OR EVEN CHECKED TO SEE IF THE AC UNIT WAS NOT WORKING. WE CONTACTED THE DEALER TO FIX IT UNDER THIS WARRANTY SOMETIME IN MAY OR JUNE OF 2020 AND WAS TOLD NO THAT THIS EXTENDED WARRANTY ENDED IN FEB 16, 2020. CONTACTED GM AND ASKED THE SAME THING. GOOD FAITH HELP WOULD HAVE BEEN REAL NICE. WE ARE A FEW MONTHS OVER THE 5 YEARS, BUT WELL UNDER THE 60K MILES. IS THERE ANYTHING WE CAN DO TO GET THIS COVERED UNDER THIS WARRANTY OR GET A RECALL ON IT. I HAVE SEEN MANY MANY MANY PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT THE SAME THING AS I. THE CAR IS A LITTLE OVER 5 YEARS OLD. THE AC UNIT SHOULDN'T HAVE FAILED SO SOON. NOW I HAVE TO PAY WELL OF 1000 TO FIX IT OUT OF MY POCKET. I KNOW NOT A SAFETY ISSUE, EXCEPT HEAT EXHAUSTION.....PLEASE DO A RECALL ON IT, PLEASE!
MY VEHICLE RANDOMLY SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING, BACKING UP, SND PARKING. WHEN THIS HAPPENS ALL POWER IS LOST AND UNABLE TO HAVE CAUTION LIGHTS ON AND TURN BACK ON FOR AT LEAST AN HOUR. DEALERSHIP IS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE BUT WHEN I DRIVE THE VEHICLE HOME IT SHUTS OFF.
THE 2ND ROW DVD SCREEN WENT BLACK. I PAID TOO MUCH MONEY AND CONTINUOUSLY DRIVE GMC VEHICLES TO DEAL WITH THIS PROBLEM I HARDLY USE IT AN THIS HAS HAPPENED TO LOTS OF PEOPLE. IF YOUR PAYING THIS MUCH FOR A CAR, TRUCK, ETC IT SHOULD BE WORTH IT NOT A PIECE OF JUNK.
THE A/C COMPRESSOR FAILED FROM A MELTED CLUTCH. I TOOK MY TAHOE IN FOR A ALIGNMENT AND THE A/C WAS WORKING FINE 2 DAYS LATER I HAD TO TAKE THE TAHOE BACK TO THE DEALER BECAUSE THE ALIGNMENT FELT OFF. THE DEALERSHIP CHECKED THE ALIGNMENT AND DIDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. I PICKED UP THE CAR AND NOTICED THE A/C WAS NO LONGER WORKING. I TOOK THE TAHOE TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT BECAUSE THE PREVIOUS DEALERSHIP ASSURED ME THEY DIDN'T CAUSE THE ISSUE EVEN THOUGH IT HAPPENED RIGHT AFTER I PICKED UP THE TAHOE, AND THE A/C WAS WORKING WHEN I BROUGHT THE TAHOE INTO THE FIRST DEALER SHIP TO HAVE THE ALIGNMENT CHECKED AGAIN. OUR TAHOE ONLY HAS 50K MILES AND THIS ISSUES SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING. I HAVE READ ONLINE AND THERE HAS BEEN MANY A/C ISSUES WITH THESE MODEL YEAR TAHOE AND GM EVEN ISSUES AND EXTENDED WARRANTY ON CERTAIN ISSUES WITH A/C, BUT THERE HAVE BEEN MANY COMPLAINTS SIMILAR TO MINE AND GM HAS YET TO ADDRESS THEM
FAILURE OF A/C SYSTEM WITH LESS THAN 60,000 MI. I DIDN'T USE THE WARRANTY BECAUSE IT HAPPENED DURING WINTER. I THOUGHT IT JUST NEEDED A RECHARGE BUT IT STILL DOESN'T WORK. SEEMS LIKE A COMPRESSOR. PRETTY UNSAFE IN THE SUMMER AND I HAVE READ OF LOTS OF FAILURES AND REPAIRS WITH THE SAME DEFECTIVE PARTS.
AIR CONDITIONER STOPPED WORKING. IT IS ONLY BLOWING HOT AIR.
THE AC CONDENSOR WENT OUT. I'VE RESEARCHED AND FOUND HUNDREDS OF OTHER 2015 TAHOE OWNERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. GM KNOWS THEY HAVE A FAULTY CONDENSOR BUT REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.
MY AC CONDENSER IS CRACKED AND LEAKING FREON AND IS NOT BLOWING COOL AIR. I'VE READ MULTIPLE THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME PROBLEM ON THIS MODEL TAHOE AND AM WONDERING WHY THERE ISN'T A RECALL WHEN SO MANY ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS WITH THE CONDENSER. NOW I'M HAVING TO FORK OUT $1200 TO FIX IT ON A NEWER MODEL TAHOE WITH LOW MILES AND IT'S REDICULOUS WHEN SO MANY PEOPLE ARE REPORTING THE SAME THING! PLEASE GIVE IT A RECALL!
I OWN A 2015 CHEVY TAHOE LT 2WD. I NOTICED THE AC WAS NOT BLOWING AS COOL AS IT NORMALLY DOES, THEN I STARTED TO NOTICE A LOUD HISSING NOISE IN THE CABIN WHENEVER THE AC WAS TURNED ON. TOOK THE SUV TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THE CONDENSER HAD A PIN HOLE LEAK AND IT COULDN'T BE REPAIRED, THE WHOLE CONDENSER HAD TO BE REPLACED. I WAS QUOTED OVER 1K FOR THE REPAIR BECAUSE OF THE DIFFICULTY IN ACCESSING THE PART IN THE ENGINE BAY. I WAS TOLD THE WHOLE FRONT BUMPER AND THE FRONT SIDE BODY PANEL HAD TO BE REMOVED IN ORDER TO REPLACE THE CONDENSER. I LOOKED THE OEM PART UP ONLINE AND IT HAD A PRICE OF $140-$210. THE SUV JUST PASSED 50,000 MILES, NO ACCIDENTS OR OTHER PREVIOUS ISSUES.
MY 4 WHEEL DRIVE TRANSFER CASE MAKES A HIGH PITCHED NOISE WHEN IT IS IN 4AUTO AND 4 HIGH. GM TOLD ME THIS IS A CHARACTERISTIC OF THE TRANFER CASE THATS INSTALLED IN MY SUV. NOT ALL TRANSFERENCE MAKE THIS NOISE, THE TAHOE LOANER CAR DOES NOT MAKE THIS NOISE. MY BOTHERS 2015 SILVERADO MADE THE SAME NOISE IN 4 AUTO AND HIGH
