The contact owns a 2021 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the "Key Not Detected" message was displayed, after which the vehicle independently turned off while in motion. The contact pulled over to the shoulder of the roadway; however, upon restarting the vehicle, the vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. The contact stated that the information display center went black, resulting in the loss of safety features and alerts for pertinent vehicle information. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 10,000.
SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR LAST YEAR I BEEN AT THE DELAERSHIP MORE THAN 3 TIMES ALREADY COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SCREEN AND THE TWO ON THE BACK OF EACH SEAT . THE MAIN SCREEN FREZEES ALL THE TIME NOT ALLOWING ME TO USE THE CAMERAS NOR GPS ETC. THE TWO AT THE BACK ARE 24/7 ON . DEALERSHIP STATES FORD HAS NO IDEA HOW TO REAPIR THE VEH . THAT I SHOULD WAIT AND THEY IGNORED MY PETITIONS FOR MY WARRANTU AMD PACKAGES INFORMATION ALONG WITH ANYTHING IN WRITING . THEY JUST CALL .. NO PAPERWOK .
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds the crash sensor illuminated. The contact stated that the crash sensor light was flashing on and off. The cruise control was inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the crash sensor needed to be replaced. The contact was informed that the crash sensor bracket was fractured. The warranty was declined due to the damage. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and opened a case, but no additional assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 26,000.
After the over-the-air update due to the rear-camera recall, the front-facing camera no longer works after approximately 15 seconds of the car being turned on. Turn on car: front camera is fine. 15 seconds: front camera no longer turns on It is supposed to be operational under 7MPH for corners or parking.
Horn is hard to hear.
