I WAS PARKED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, GOT OUT OF MY VEHICLE,WHEN I TURNED AROUND MY VEHICLE WAS HEADING TOWARD ME TRIED TO STOP IT RAN ME OVER AND THEN HIT A TREE , I RECEIVED INJURY TO MY LEGS, ALSO HAD TO HAVE MY CAR FIXED ON THE LEFT FRONT END. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE FORD LOOK INTO THIS COMPLAINT, ALSO I FEEL I SHOULD BE REIMBURSED, FOR MY INJURIES AND THE COST FOR ME TO FIX THIS VEHICLE. *TR
WHEN I WAS DRIVING HOME, AFTER STOPPING AT A RED LIGHT AND STARTING TO ACCELERATE, MY ESCAPE RUMBLED A BIT, THEN WAS RUNNING FINE. A FEW MOMENTS LATER, WHEN I WAS ABOUT TO GO OVER TRAIN TRACKS, IT SUDDENLY STOPPED ACCELERATING. THANKFULLY I WAS ABLE TO COAST OVER THE TRACKS SAFETY AND OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, BUT OTHER THEN THE SLIGHT JERKING A LITTLE EARLIER, THERE WERE NO WARNING SIGNS. I TRIED TO SEE IF REVERSE WOULD WORK, AND THAT DID NOT EITHER. THANKFULLY MY VEHICLE WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY-THE ENTIRE TRANSMISSION SYSTEM HAD TO BE REPLACED. THERE WAS ONLY ABOUT 21,500 MILES ON THE VEHICLE! AND I REGULARLY GET MAINTENANCE. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING IT FOR ABOUT 500 MILES AND EVERYTHING SEEMS OKAY (ALTHOUGH MY MPG SEEMS TO HAVE GONE DOWN SOME). *TR
THE COOLANT PUMP FOR MY FORD ESCAPE 2007 HYBRID HAS GIVEN ME A FAILURE CODE SEVERAL TIMES. I HAD IT DIAGNOSED THEN WANTED TO ORDER THE PART AND WAS TOLD THAT I WAS NUMBER 800 ON THE BACKORDER LIST FOR THIS PART. I CONTACTED FORD AND THEY REFERRED EVERYTHING BACK TO THE DEALER(OF COURSE WHOM I HAD ALREADY SPOKEN WITH) IT IS A FORD PROBLEM FOR THE BACKORDER NOT A DEALER PROBLEM. IF I AM NUMBER 800 ON THE BACKORDER LIST WHAT TYPE OF A PROBLEM DO THEY HAVE. THE PART NUMBER IS 5M6Z 8C419 A. *TR
A PIECE IN THE SHIFTER ASSEMBLY IS DEFECTIVE CAUSING THE KEY TO GET STUCK IN THE IGNITION, AND INSTEAD OF FORD REPLACING THAT ONE PIECE THEY SUGGEST YOU REPLACE THE SHIFTER ASSEMBLY WHICH IS AT LEAST 400.00 VS MAYBE 50.00. *TR

I WAS PULLING OUT ONTO A MAIN HIGHWAY AND MY CAR JERKED AS I PRESSED ON THE ACCELERATOR AND NEXT THING I KNOW I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY AND MY CAR DOES NOT GO FORWARD, JUST STOPS AND STILL RUNNING WHILE TWO HUGE TRUCKS ARE COMING FROM BOTH DIRECTIONS, THINKING QUICKLY, I THOUGHT THE CAR MAY HAVE REVERSE. WELL, THANK GOD IT DID AND REVERSE I WENT. I HAD TO DRIVE HOME IN REVERSE AND CALL CHAPMAN FORD TO COME AND PICK IT UP. MY VEHICLE IS STILL THERE AND THEY HAVE TO TAKE OUT THE WHOLE TRANSMISSION. I AM VERY SHAKEN AND AM TOO SCARED TO GET BACK INTO THE CAR. I HAVE NEVER FELT LIKE THIS BEFORE AND HAVE ALWAYS BOUGHT A FORD FOR SAFETY REASONS, BUT THIS HAS MADE ME FEEL VERY, VERY UNSAFE. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD ESCAPE. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, ALL FOUR WHEELS LOCKED UP WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT MOVE FORWARD WHILE THE ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE FAILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 41.
