MY CAR HAS THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE RECALL 14S17-S1 EXCEPT MY ENGINE IS THE 1.6L AND THEY WON'T FIX IT. I STARTED MY CAR AFTER WORK AND THE ENGINE FAULT SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT CAME ON. I TRIED TO DRIVE IT BUT THERE WAS NO POWER AND WAS WANTING TO DIE SO I PARKED IT AND CALLED A TOW TRUCK. IT IS THE MAP HARNESS WIRING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD ESCAPE. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, IT STALLED AND COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT IF THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DRIVEN AT 35 MPH OR HIGHER, IT WOULD STALL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PRECISION FORD (945 N MAIN ST, LILLINGTON, NC 27546, (910) 814-2243) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE WIRE HARNESS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V813000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THERE WAS NO GUARANTEE THAT ADDITIONAL VINS WOULD BE ADDED TO THE RECALL. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO NHTSA TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 64,000.
AFTER TURNING THE ENGINE OFF IN OPENING THE CAR DOOR MY RADIO STILL STAYS ON WHEN IT SHOULDN'T AS WELL AS I CAN NOT ALWAYS USE MY REMOTE KEYS TO LOCK OR UNLOCK THE DOOR YET ALONE THE ELECTRICAL LOCK INSIDE THE DOOR TO LOCK IT.
WHEN ENTERING THE SCREEN SHOWS POWERING OFF TO CONSERVE BATTERY. LIGHTS GO OFF AND STEERING WHEEL AND START BUTTON LOCK UP. THIS ISSUE OCCURRED TWO WEEKS AGO AND THE BATTERY THEN WOULD NOT CHARGE. BOUGHT A NEW BATTERY FROM DEALER AND NOW THE PROBLEM IS REPEATING. 32,000 MILES AND NO ACCIDENTS. PARKED IN GARAGE BOTH TIMES.NOW 9/26/19
I WAS DRIVING MY CHILDREN TO SCHOOL. I WAS PULLING ON TO OUR MAIN ROAD A HIGHWAY FROM A STOP SIGN AND THE ENGINE SHUTOFF. I WAS ABLE TO START IT AND DRIVE IT ABOUT A BLOCK WHEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN. THIS HAPPEN A TOTAL OF 4 TIMES. EACH OF THESE TIMES I WAS LEFT WITH MY 2 CHILDREN IN A STALLED CAR IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. IT IS A MIRACLE WE DID NOT GET HIT OR HURT IN ANY WAY. WHEN I WAS FINALLY ABLE TO START IT ENOUGH AND MANEUVER US OUT OF TRAFFIC AND DANGER, WE WERE THEN STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE FIRST TIME WE WERE TURNING ONTO THE HIGHWAY, ALL OTHER TIME WE WERE IN MOTION ON THE HIGHWAY. WE HAD RAN THE CODE WITH A MECHANIC AND IT WAS A FUEL CONNECTOR ERROR.
INFORMATION DISPLAY PANEL WENT OUT THIS IS A PROBLEM CAUSE CANNOT RENEW REGISTRATION AND INSURANCE WITHOUT MILEAGE AND CANNOT KNOW WHATS GOING WRONG WITH CAR
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION OPERATING ERRATICALLY AND ENGINE SHUTTING OFF GOING DOWN HIGHWAY. ALSO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON.
RADIO MADE A LONG BANGING SOUND ON OVATION FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS. THEN OCCASIONALLY THE RADIO WOULD MAKE LOUD CRACKLING AND POPPING. CAR WOULD NEED RESTARTED TO RESET. EVENTUALLY RADIO STOPPED WORKING AND CAR WOULD NEED RESTARTED, MIXED IN WITH CRACKLING AND POPPING ISSUES INTERMITTENTLY. NOW THE RADIO JUST WON'T WORK NO MATTER IF YOU RESTART THE CAR OR NOT. THE LOUD BANGING SOUND AND LOUD POPPING CAN STARRTLE A DRIVER. THE RADIO NOT WORKING SHOULD BE UNDER A RECALL, BUT CURRENTLY IS NOT. HAPPENS MOVING AND STATIONARY. HAS HAPPENED ON CITY STREETS AND HIGHWAY, ALL ISSUES.
THE CAR QUIT IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC (NO WARNING) FORD MOTOR SAYS ITS IN THE WIRING HARNESS (MANY RECALLS ON THIS SAME PROBLEM (REPLACING THE MAP SENSOR DOES NOT HELP) THIS CAR NEEDS A RECALL! THIS IS A 2013 WITH LESS THAN 40,000 MILES.
THE INFORMATION PANEL ON MY SUV IS STARTING TO GET DARK OR SHALL I SAY IT GOES SLIGHTLY DARK. I CANNOT SEE MILEAGE AND CAN BARELY SEE THAT MY LIGHTS ARE ON. SOMETIMES THERE ARE WHITE LIGHTS GOING UP AND DOWN ON SCREEN
DISPLAY CLUSTER DOES NOT WORK. EVERYTHING WENT OUT. FUSE NOT BLOWN. SAFETY ISSUE. CAR RUNS FINE.
WAS DRIVING CAR ON PAVED ROAD AND CAR QUIT RUNNING RESTARTED CAR AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON
AFTER PARKING FOR 20 MINUTES OR LESS, I BEGIN DRIVING AND LOSE ACCELERATION AND MY GAS PEDAL WON'T WORK. I END UP COMING TO A STOP AND STALLING. THIS SOMETIMES HAPPENS AGAIN AFTER I RESTART MY VEHICLE. MY OIL LIGHT AND BATTERY LIGHT COME ON WHEN IT COMES TO A COMPLETE STOP/STALL. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE. I TOOK IT TO TWO MECHANICS AND SINCE THERE ISN'T ANYTHING TO DIAGNOSE (NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, FLUID LEVELS NORMAL), NOTHING CAN BE DONE. NEED HELP PLEASE. HONESTLY FRIGHTENED FOR MY SAFETY.
MY 2013 FORD ESCAPE STALLS AND TURNS OFF SEVERAL TIMES A DAY. YOU CAN DRIVE IT SEVERAL MILES, BUT WHEN YOU STOP AND TURN IT OFF, THEN TURN IT BACK ON IT WILL STALL AND TURN OFF. IT'S DIED SEVERAL TIMES PULLING OUT OF A PARKING SPACE OR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. IF I'M ABLE TO KEEP IT RUNNING LONG ENOUGH TO GET UP TO ABOUT 30 MPH IT WILL SKIP 3 TIMES THEN IT'S FINE, UNTIL YOU TURN IT BACK OFF. I'VE ALMOST BEEN IN SEVERAL COLLISIONS WITH ME AND MY 3 KIDS. I'VE CALLED THE FORD DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY KEEP SAYING THERE'S NO RECALL AND I HAVE TO PAY TO GET IT LOOKED AT AND FIXED. APPARENTLY THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE BY LOOKING AT OTHER PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE WITH IT STALLING AND DYING.
CAR HAS CONTINUED TO STALL.= REPAIR WAS DONE AND SPLICES WERE REPLACED IN BULLITEN AND TEST DRIVE. APPEARS TO BE LIKE RECALL ON MY VEHICLE BUT MANUFACTURED EARLIER IN 2013. SEEKING REIMBURSEMENT FROM FORD

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO JOE MYERS FORD (713-766-3600, 16634 NORTHWEST FWY, HOUSTON, TX 77040) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE OXYGEN SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER, BUT IT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V813000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH THE VIN. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 97,000.

I WILL BE DRIVING MY CAR AND RANDOMLY MY CAR STALLS AND THE ENGINE SEIZES AND THE CAR SHUTS OFF. I CAN TURN IT OFF AND BACK ON BUT IT CONTINUOUSLY HAPPENS, IT HAS HAPPENED IN TRAFFIC BEFORE AND I'VE HAD TO AVOID MULTIPLE ACCIDENTS. ALSO IF MY CAR IS IDLE FOR 3-5 MINUTES AND ON IT ALSO WILL STALL AND AGAIN I HAVE TO TURN IT OFF AND BACK ON.

IN 7/2017 WE HAD ALERT LIGHTS OF ENGINE DEFAULT, HILL ASSIST GO ON. IT HAD A REPLACEMENT PART ABS THAT DIDN'T CORRECT PROBLEM. NEXT TIME ON MY WAY TO THE DEALER LOTS OF LIGHTW WENT ON AND I WENT INTO SAFE MODE A FEW HUNDRED FEET FROM DEALER, FIVE MINUTES EARLIER AND I WOULD HAVE BEEN ON THE FREEWAY. A DIFF PART WAS REPLACED. SAME PROBLEM THEN NEXT TIME IT WENT INTO SAFE MODE AND I HAD IT TOWED. THIS VEHICLE AND YEAR APPARENTLY HAD ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC ISSUES. I FEEL THIS IS AN UNSAFE SITUATION! I TOOK FROM 7/26/2017 TO 10/18/2017 TO GET THINGS CORRECTED AND I DON'T KNOW IF THEY ARE
