HEAD ON COLLISION WITH FORD F-250 AND NEITHER AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. WE DID NOT HAVE ANY RECALLS ON OUR FORD EXPEDITION. MY HUSBAND AND SON ARE VERY LUCKY I WILL NEVER OWN A FORD EVER AGAIN.
I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 35 - 40 MPH DOWN SPACECENTER BLVD AND WITHOUT WARNING AND FOR NO REASON MY SIDE AIRBAGS SUDDENLY DEPLOYED.
I WAS IN A CAR ACCIDENT I HIT A CONCRETE WALL AT 50 MILES PER HOUR HEAD ON AND MY AIRBAGS NEVER DEPLOYED I WAS ON A HIGH WAY
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2004 FORD EXPEDITION. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH AND ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A LEFT TURN, THE DRIVER LOST CONTROL AND THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A TREE IN A NEIGHBOR'S YARD. NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED AND THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALLED AND WAS TOWED AWAY BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED (LAFAYETTE FORD IN FAYETTEVILLE, NC) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE AIR BAGS WERE NOT IMPACTED DIRECTLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 178,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2004 FORD EXPEDITION. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE DRIVER LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND IT SPUN OUT OF CONTROL. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE ROLLED OVER MULTIPLE TIMES AND CRASHED INTO A MOUNTAIN. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE FRONT SEAT PASSENGER SUSTAINED A HAND INJURY THAT RESULTED IN A FINGER BEING AMPUTATED. THE REAR DRIVER SIDE PASSENGER ON THE SECOND ROW SUSTAINED A FOREHEAD LACERATION, AND THE REAR DRIVER SIDE PASSENGER ON THE THIRD ROW SUSTAINED A FRACTURED SHOULDER, HIP, AND THREE FRACTURED RIBS. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS REQUIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 160,000.

THE VEHICLE WENT OVER THE MEDIAN, CRASHED INTO A CONCRETE PILLAR, SLID SIDEWAYS DOWN THE PILLAR, AND THE PASSENGER SIDE CRASHED INTO A POLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT RECEIVED INJURIES TO THE RIGHT ARM AS WELL AS TEETH AND FACIAL INJURIES. ONE REAR SEAT PASSENGER RECEIVED TEETH AND FACIAL INJURIES. ANOTHER REAR SEAT PASSENGER RECEIVED RIB INJURIES. THE DRIVER RECEIVED INJURIES TO THE FRONT OF THE BODY. ALL PASSENGERS REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED, TOWED, AND SALVAGED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 127,000.

MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING DOWN A COUNTY ROAD AT AROUND 9:00 PM IN OUR 2004 EDDIE BAUER EDITION EXPEDITION ,FROM DPS IT WAS TOLD HE COULD HAVE BEEN GOING AT A RATE OF UP TO 100 MPH WHEN HE REACHED A CURVE HE MISSED IT AND TRIED TO GET BACK ON THE ROAD BUT LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE WHICH FLIPPED MULTIPLE TIMES ,THE ONLY AIRBAGS THAT DEPLOYED WERE THE SIDE AIRBAGS EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS VERY SERIOUS FRONT END DAMAGE THE FRONTAL DRIVER AND PASSENGER AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY ,WHICH COULD HAVE SAVED HIS LIFE. *TR

MY FIANCEE WAS IN A VEHICLE ACCIDENT WHERE SHE REAR-ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE. SHE WAS DISTRACTED BY AN AGGRESSIVE DRIVER AND DIDN'T REALIZE THE CARS IN FRONT OF HER WERE STOPPED. SHE WAS TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH UPON IMPACT. THE PASSENGER AIRBAG DEPLOYED, BUT THE DRIVERS' AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY. MY CONCERN IS THAT IT SHOULD HAVE AND DID NOT. THE VEHICLE IS IN POSSESSION OF MY INSURANCE COMPANY AND THEY ARE ALLOWING INSPECTION OF THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. IF YOU ARE WILLING TO TEST IT FOR ME AND PROVIDE A REPORT, I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT. FORD IS DENYING THAT IT IS FAULTY SAFETY EQUIPMENT. *TR
I WAS DRIVING DOWN A MAIN STREET WHEN A CAR COMES OUT FROM A RESIDENTIAL STREET INFRONT OF ME, I HAD NO BRAKING DISTANCE TIME BUT STILL HIT MY BRAKES AND VEERED TO THE RIGHT TRYING TO MAKE IT INTO THE RESIDENTIAL STREET THE CAR CAME OUT OF TO MISS HITTING THE CAR, BUT INSTEAD HIT THE CORNER WALL AT 45MPH. THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED BUT MINE DID NOT RESULTING IN HEAD INJURY. MY HEAD HIT THE WINDSHIELD SO HARD I KEPT BLACKING OUT, LUCKILY MY 1YR OLD PASSENGER (MY SON) ONLY HAD RED MARKS ON HIS NECK FROM THE CAR SEAT STRAPS. *TR

THE CONTACT ENTERED THE VEHICLE AND TURNED THE ENGINE OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE BOTH AIR BAGS WERE REPLACED AT THE OWNER'S EXPENSE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE DEFECT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FORD EXPEDITION. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE SIDE CURTAIN AIR BAGS INADVERTENTLY DEPLOYED ON ALL FOUR DOORS WITHOUT IMPACT. THERE WAS NO PERSONAL INJURY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THAT THE COMPLETE AIR BAG SYSTEM WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED AT THE COST OF $4,214.65. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED AT THE TIME OF THE COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 67,454.
MY SIDE CURTAIN AIR BAGS DEPLOYED FOR NO REASON. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT BECAUSE IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY. THE 5 YEAR SAFETY RESTRAINT WARRANTY ENDED A 1 MONTH AGO. THE SERVICE MANAGER INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND RAN A DIAGNOSTIC TEST AND SAID THERE IS NO REASON THEY SHOULD HAVE GONE OFF. THEY ARE LUCKY MY WIFE WAS ONLY IN A PARKING LOT WHEN IT HAPPENED OR SOMEBODY MIGHT HAVE BEEN KILLED.THE SERVICE MANAGER SAID HE WAS IN TOUCH WITH DETROIT AND THEY SAID NOT TO FIX IT. I HAVE OWNED SEVERAL FORDS AND NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS BUT THIS IS JUST STUPID. *TR
I WAS DRIVING MY 2004 FORD EXPEDITION XLT AT 55MPH WHEN I STRUCK THE BACK OF A VEHICLE THAT WAS STOPPED AT A RED TRAFFIC LIGHT, CAUSING A 5 CAR CHAIN REACTION INCLUDING MY VEHICLE. UPON WAKING UP IN THE HOSPITAL THE STATE TROOPER INFORMED ME THAT NONE OF THE AIRBAGS IN THE VEHICLE DEPLOYED. I SUSTAINED A CONCUSSION WITH LOSS OF CONSCIOUSNESS, AND CURRENTLY HAVE CONCUSSION SYNDROME. I ALSO SUFFER FROM A HERNIATED DISC IN MY LOWER BACK FROM THE ACCIDENT. THE TRUCK WAS TOTALED SO THERE WAS NO ACTION TAKEN TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM. *TR
WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE WITH A FAMILY MEMBER AND SOME FRIENDS BOTH SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS DEPLOYED SIMULTANEOUSLY FOR NO REASON. IT WAS LIKE A GUN WENT OFF NEXT TO OUR EARS. DUE TO THE ODOR AND DUST IN THE VEHICLE WE ROLLED DOWN OUR WINDOWS TO AVOID INHALING THE POWDERY SUBSTANCE. I AM AMAZED WE DIDN'T WRECK. WE WERE TRAUMATIZED BY THE INTENSITY OF THE INCIDENT. MANY OF US HAD RINGING IN OUR EARS FOR SOMETIME AND I HAD CHEST PAINS FOR THE REST OF THE EVENING. WORDS REALLY CANNOT DESCRIBE HOW TERRIFYING IT WAS. WE TRIED TO FIGURE OUT WHAT MAY HAVE BEEN THE REASON FOR THE DEPLOYMENT. THERE WAS NO REASON WHATSOEVER THAT GAVE CAUSE TO THE DEPLOYMENT. THERE WERE NO OTHER CARS AROUND US, WE DIDN'T BUMP INTO ANYTHING NOR DID ANYTHING BUMP INTO US. IT SCARED ME SO BAD THAT I HAD MY HUSBAND AND SON COME PICK ME UP FROM A FRIENDS HOUSE BECAUSE I WAS AFRAID THE FRONT AIRBAG MIGHT GO OFF AND DIDN'T WANT TO TAKE THAT RISK. *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON SMOOTH PAVED ROAD, POW!! SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS ON PASSENGER AND DRIVER SIDE DEPLOYED. I DID NOT SWERVE, HIT A POTHOLE OR ANY TYPE OF IMPACT THEY JUST POPPED OUT AND SCARED ME TO DEATH! I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP WHERE CAR WAS PURCHASED. I HIT BLACK ICE SLAMMED INTO GUARDRAIL WITH FRONT OF CAR, SPUN AROUND 4 TIMES THEN HIT THE REAR OF CAR ON GUARDRAIL. MY LEGS HIT THE UNDER DASH BECAUSE THERE WAS NO AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT, I AM STILL HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY LEGS. THE WHOLE FRONT OF MY CAR WAS PUSHED INTO THE MOTOR. I DO HAVE PICTURES OF THE CRASH. THERE WAS OVER $13,000.00 DAMAGE AND MY CAR WAS TOTALED. I DON'T WANT ANYONE TO HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE PAIN AND STRUGGLES I HAVE HAD TO, THANK GOD MY GRANDSON WAS UNINJURED. WHERE DO I GO FROM HERE?
