2023 Ford Expedition Power Train

The contact owns a 2023 Ford Expedition. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact noticed a hard shift from the transmission. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the failure was not duplicated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The contact stated that previously, in April 2024, the vehicle experienced the same failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the repair was completed under Technical Service Bulletin: 24-2100. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The contact was informed that the repair was not covered under new Technical Service Bulletin: 24-2254. The contact was informed that the VIN was not associated with Technical Service Bulletin. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 18,818.

The contact owns a 2023 Ford Expedition. The contact stated while driving approximately 62 MPH and towing a motorhome, the "Exceeded Speed Distance Conditions" message was displayed. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where the transmission fluid was inspected but no failure was found. The contact was advised to monitor any abnormal noises; however, no suspected transmission failure was found. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and the contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.

While driving the vehicle in sport mode and trying to accelerate the pedal will go to the floor and the vehicle will stop moving for a couple of seconds. Usually happens around 20mph and is seemingly random. No warning lights but the vehicle will not move any faster. This has happened 3 times since we bought it.
