WHILE DRIVING THE SERPENTINE BELT SNAPPED OFF. THIS CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO LOSE POWER AND EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. THE DEALERSHIP WAS NOTIFIED, BUT DID NOT RESOLVE PROBLEM. THE CAUSE WAS NOT DETERMINED. PLEASE PROVIDE MORE INFORMATION. *NM
EXHAUST FUMES WERE LEAKING INTO THE CAB OF THE VEHICLE. CONSUMER CONTACTED THE DEALER, WHO DIDN'T THINK THAT THIS PROBLEM WAS IMPORTANT, AND WILL NOT SERVICE VEHICLE IN A TIMELY MANOR. ALSO, CONSUMER ASKED FOR MANUFACTURER'S TELEPHONE NUMBER, BUT THE DEALER REFUSED TO COOPERATE. *AK
WHEN THE VEHICLE IDLED CONSUMER SMELLED AND HEARD EXHAUST LEAKING. DEALER EXAMINED THE VEHICLE, AND FOUND THAT THE EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION TUBE (EGR) HAD A HOLE IN IT. *AK
WHEN VEHICLE IS BEING DRIVEN THE BELT TENSIONER KEEPS SHREDDING SERPENTINE BELT, CAUSING VEHICLES ENGINE TO DIED. IN ONE CASE THE BELT TENSION SHIERD OFF, SENDING A METAL BOLT FROM ENGINE THAT PUNCTURED RADIATOR FAN. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION. MR

WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE ABOUT 40-55MPH LOST CONTROL DUE TO THE STRETCHING OR DETACHMENT OF THE SERPENTINE BELT AND TENSIONER PULLEY, CAUSING LOSS OF POWER STEERING/BRAKES. *AK
THE SPRING LOADED IDLER TIGHTENER BRACKET ON THE FRONT OF THE MOTOR BECOMES UNALIGNED, CAUSING THE SERPENTINE BELT TO COME OFF. WHEN THIS HAPPENS LOSES STEERING AND BRAKES. FORD HAS REPLACED THIS PART (2) DIFFERENT TIMES, WHICH HAS NOT CORRECTED THE PROBLEM.
