I WAS INFORMED THAT MY CAR IS NOT A PART OF THE RECENT RECALL OF THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE AS IT RELATES TO THE CLUTCH. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THE RECALL DOES NOT INCLUDE THE CLUTCH. SINCE THE CAR WAS PURCHASED, WE TOLD THE SERVICE REPS UPON ACCELERATION, THE FRONT END OF THE CAR SHAKES, FEELS LIKE FRONT END IS FALLING OUT. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE TO BE TOLD THE RECALL DOES NOT COVER THE CLUTCH. THE REASON I AM TOLD, IS BECAUSE OF THE PLANT THE CAR WAS SHIPPED FROM. 11/11/19. I REQUESTED THE SERVICES RECORDS FROM THE DEALERSHIP THE CAR WAS PURCHASED. I TRAVEL DAILY ON 301(STARKE,FL) I-10, 95 TO SAN PABLO ROAD 5 DAYS A WEEK TO MY JOB. TO DATE, I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE INFORMATION. PLEASE ADVISE. THANK YOU
TRANSMISSION PROBLEM STARTING JAN 2019 WITH AROUND 10,000 MILES. THE CAR TAKES SPELLS THAT IN VIBRATES REALLY BAD PULLING OUT FROM STOP AND UPON ACCELERATION FROM LOW SPEEDS. I'M BEING TOLD AGAIN BY METTER FORD IN GEORGIA THAT THEY CAN'T FIND ANY PROBLEMS WITH MY CAR TO JUST DRIVE IT UNTIL IT BREAKS AND THEY WILL COME GET IT. THIS CAR IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. ON 7/19/2017 I PULLED ONTO THE HWY AND THE CAR VIBRATED SO BADLY IT WOULD NOT GO OVER 20MPH. METTER FORD HAS THE CAR NOW AND JUST TOLD ME AGAIN ON 7/23/2019 THAT THEY CAN'T FIND ANY PROBLEM. ALSO SAYING THEY DON'T KNOW OF ANY TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS WITH THE 2017 FOCUS.
MY CAR SHUDDERS FROM A STOP. SOMETIMES ON THE HIGHWAY IT SHAKES LIKE MY TIRE ARE OUT OF BALANCE. SOMETIMES ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN ACCELERATING TO PASS SOMEONE THE CAR SOMEWHAT STALLS THE RPM RED LINE AND SLOWLY COME BACK TO NORMAL. SOMETIMES FROM A STOP THE VEHICLE WILL NOT RESPOND TO MY FOOT ON THE GAS THEN IT WILL "CATCH UP" . I HAD MY CAR IN FOR A DIAGNOSTIC AND THE DEALER TOLD ME I NEEDED NEW CLUTCHES AND I WAS JUST OUT OF MY WARRENTY.
ON ACCERATION THE VEHICLE HESITATED AND SLOWS TO THE POINT I NEED TO PRESS MY FOOT ON GAS TO STOP FROM CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. IT IS SLOW TO SHIFT INTO GEAR AND MAKES CLATTERING AND METAL ON METAL SOUND FROM THE TRANSMISSION CHANGING INTO DIFFERENT GEARS.IT WILL ALSO SUDDENLY GO MUCH FASTER AND MUST BRAKE TO SLOW VEHICLE DOWN, ON A HILL THE VEHICLE WILL NOT HOLD BUT GO BACKWARDS AND MUST HAVE FOOT ON GAS BRAKE SAME TIME IN ORDER NOT TO GO BACKWARDS .I HAVE COMPLAINED TO FORD BUT THEY NEVER ADDRESS THE PROBLEM OR PUT MY COMPLAINT ON THERE WORK ORDER THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING TO FIX THESE CONCERNS.
SHUTTER NOISE EVEN AFTER FORD HAS REPLACED TRANSMISSION AND CLUTCH AND PROBLEM IS STILL THWRE
REAR BACKUP CAMERA IMAGE IS SERIOUSLY DISTORTED AND IMAGES ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO ACTUALLY SEE CONDITIONS BEHIND THE CAR.
I HAD THE CLUTCH REPLACED INSIDE TRANSMISSION 8 MONTHS AGO BECAUSE OF A HARD VIBRATION AFTER I PRESS GAS PEDAL FROM A STOP MAJOR OF TIMES. THIS DILEMMA IS STILL OCCURRING A HARD VIBRATION AFTER I PRESS THE GAS PEDAL FROM A STOP MAJOR OF TIMES WHEN I'M IN TRAFFIC WAITING 4 THE LIGHT TO CHANGE TO PROCEED ON THE ROADWAY.
TRANSMISSION SHUTTERS SOMETIMES UPON TAKING OFF AND ACCELERATING IN CITY OR HWY ROADWAYS AS IT SHIFTS 1ST TO 2ND AND 3RD TO 4TH MOST NOTABLY, ALSO SOMETIMES WHEN TRYING TO SHIFT RPMS REV UP WHEN SHIFTING AS IF IN NEUTRAL O MOMENTARILY. LOCAL DEALER REPLACED 1 CLUTCH, 1 WEEK LATER DOING AGAIN, TOOK BACK TO DEALER SAID NEEDS 1,000 MILES TO BREAKIN. AS CAR GETS HOTTER THESE ISSUES ARE MORE NOTICEABLE. SLIPPING BAD. 2.0 SE HATCHBACK. DISAPPOINTED IN FORDS TRANSMISSIONS ,4TH FORD IN FAMILY WITH TRANSMISSION ISSUES 1997,2002, 2008, 2017.
THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER IS ALREADY LEAKING. THE VEHICLE ONLY HAS 27000 MILES ON IT. IT SHOULD NOT HAVE GONE OUT FOR A LONG WHILE...AT LEAST 100000 MILES.
CAR VIBRATES, LOSS POWER SOUNDS LIKE A TRUCK WHEN TAKING OFF FROM A TRAFFIC LIGHT OR STOP SIGN. NOTICE THE SMELL OF GASOLINE.
ENGINE STALLS AND YOU CAN HEAR A RATTLING NOISE WHEN PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL TO TAKE OFF IN TRAFFIC.
TRANSMISSION SLIPPING @ TAKE OFF,WHILE DRIVING. IT STALLED BETWEEN SPEED @ 18MPH AND 35MPH
THE CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT SYSTEM IS NOT WORKING CORRECTLY, THE DEALER HAS HAD THE CAR FOR A MONTH AND A HALF, FORD TOLD THE DEALER THEY NEW THE PROBLEM BACK IN FEBURARY 2017, I BOUGHT THE CAR IN JUNE 2017, THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE FOR THE CAR AND FORD TOLD THE DEALER THAT THEY TURNED OFF THIS FEATURE FOR AN UNKNOWN REASON, I PAID FOR THIS EXTRA FEATURE AND THEY STILL SOLD THE CAR KNOWNING THIS FEATURE WASN'T WORKING
A/C VENTILATION IS PRODUCING A MUSTY/ MOLDY SMELL, I HAVE OWNED THE CAR FOR ONLY 4 MONTHS, THE ODOR IS STRONG, AND MAY BE DANGEROUS AS MOLD GROWTH MAY SEEP THROUGH VENTS AND INTO ONES AIRWAYS. I AM CONCERNED FOR MY HEALTH, ALONG WITH WHO EVER ENTERS THE VEHICLE. PLEASE INVESTIGATE THIS FURTHER. INTERNET RESEARCH AS ALLOWED ME TO VIEW VARIOUS IDENTICAL CASES WITH MOLD ODOR & A/C VENTS ON FORD VEHICLES, THERE MIGHT BE AN ISSUE AT FORD MANUFACTURERS. THE ISSUE MAY OCCUR AT ANY TIME BUT IS MORE PROMINENT WHEN TURNING ON THE A/C.
