TURNED MY AC ON ONE NIGHT AND MY AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON AND IS STILL ON AFTER 12 DAYS
I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE (18S08 RECALL 18V-167) IN MAY OF 2018, IRONICALLY RIGHT AFTER MY CHARGING DEVICE MELTED IN MY GARAGE OUTLET. FORD HAS SAID FOR MONTHS THAT THEY WOULD HAVE THIS RESOLVED BY 2019. I WENT TWO WEEKS AGO TO MY DEAL AND THEY STILL HAVE NO UPDATE AS TO WHEN THIS WILL BE RESOLVED. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO CHARGE MY CAR AT HOME IN A YEAR!!! THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE...
AS I WAS DRIVING OVER 70 MILES PER HOUR ON THE HIGHWAY, THE DOOR AJAR ALERT APPEARED. AT THAT POINT, I REALIZED THAT MY SONS FRIEND HAD OPENED THE DOOR OUT OF CURIOSITY. THE DOORS LOCK SIGNAL WAS RED WHICH MEANS IT WAS LOCKED HOWEVER HE WAS ABLE TO OPEN THE DOOR AT 70MPH ON THE HIGHWAY. THIS IS VERY UNSAFE, LUCKILY NO ONE WAS HURT. THE NEXT DAY I CHECKED THE DOOR LOCK MECHANISM. WHEN THE DOOR IS LOCKED ON RED, IT ONLY LOCKS FROM THE OUTSIDE AND ANY DOOR FROM THE INTERIOR CAN BE OPENED REGARDLESS OF THE SPEED. I TRIED THIS AT VARIOUS SPEEDS IN THE PARKING LOT. I HAVE THREE CHILDREN AND THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. FOR THE TIME BEING, I HAVE PLACED THE CHILD LOCK ON THE REAR DOORS, HOWEVER THIS OPTION IS NOT AVAILABLE TO THE PASSENGER DOOR. WHEN I LOCK THE DOOR AND IT IS RED, IT SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO OPEN THROUGH THE INTERIOR OR EXTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE.
STILL WAITING FOR THE REPLACEMENT CHARGING CABLE. I CHECK REGULARLY WITH THE DEALER AND THEY HAVE NO DATE WHEN IT WILL BE AVAILABLE. NHTSA RECALL 18V592 APPLIES.
THE TRUNK OPENS RANDOMLY ON ITS OWN IN PARKING LOT AN GARAGE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD FUSION. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTING FAILED TO OPERATE. THE FAILURE PREVENTED THE CONTACT FROM VIEWING THE FUEL GAUGE, SPEEDOMETER, AND TACHOMETER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LIGHTING RETURNED AFTER APPROXIMATELY 20 MINUTES. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO APPLE FORD (3250 CAPE HORN RD, RED LION, PA 17356, (717) 244-7677) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO RETRIEVE A FAULT CODE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 23,685.
APIM MODULE FAILURE, AFFECTS OR RENDERS USELESS BACKUP CAMERA, BACKUP ALARM/SENSORS CLIMATE CONTROL NAVIGATION VOICE COMMAND CONTROLS.
THE CAR HAS STOPPED CHARGING AND WILL NOT OPERATE IN HYBRID MODE. FORD AND THE DEALER HAVE THE PARTS ARE BACK ORDER FOR OVER 4 MONTHS. THE DEALER IS STATING THAT THEY HAVE 4 OTHER VEHICLES WITH THE SAME EXACT ISSUE. THIS SEEMS TO BE AN EMERGING FAILURE POINT ON THESE CARS.
FORD SYNC LOOSE CONNECTIVITY ONCE A MONTH, ONLY WAY TO RESET IS TO UNPLUG THE BATTERY WHEN THIS HAPPENS. THIS A DEFECT OF DRIVING SAFETY AND HANDSFREE DRIVING.
I WAS DRIVING IN HEAVY TRAFFIC -- LOTS OF STOP AND GO -- WHEN MY KNEE HIT THE IGNITION KEY FOB AND APPARENTLY TURNED IT INTO THE ACC POSITION. CAR SHUT DOWN AND MESSAGE "TRANSMISSION NOT IN PARK" APPEARED ON THE DISPLAY. I TURNED ON THE EMERGENCY BLINKERS AND DRIFTED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE 4-LANE HIGHWAY. AFTER STOPPING AND PUTTING IT IN PARK I RESTARTED THE ENGINE. CAR IS USUALLY DRIVEN BY 5' 3" DRIVER WITHOUT THIS PROBLEM; BUT I AM 6" 3" AND MY KNEE CONTINUALLY HITS THE IGNITION KEY FOB AS I MOVE MY FOOT FROM THE ACCELERATOR TO THE BRAKE. TO SAY THAT THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM FOR TALL DRIVERS OF THE FORD FUSION WOULD BE AN UNDERSTATEMENT!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOST ACCELERATION. THE WRENCH AND ENGINE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED AND THEN THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT MANAGED TO RESTART THE VEHICLE TWICE, BUT IT STALLED AGAIN WHEN HE ARRIVED HOME. THE FOLLOWING DAY, THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER AND HAS BEEN THERE EVER SINCE MARCH 27, 2017. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE STARTED IN JANUARY OF 2017. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TWO OTHER TIMES FOR REPAIRS FOR THE SAME FAILURE. THE DEALER REPLACED THE TOTAL CONTROL MODULE BACK IN JANUARY, BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 32,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH, THE VEHICLE POWER SEIZED. THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A BOULDER. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 24,895.
I RENTED THIS 2015 FORD FUSION SE4 FOR 2 WEEKS FROM ENTERPRISE RENTAL CAR LOCATION AT 2090 N SR7, HOLLYWOOD, FL 33021, PH.NO. 954-964-9954. DURING THE DRIVE BACK TO ENTERPRISE TO RETURN THE VEHICLE, MY KNEE BRUSHED UP AGAINST THE FOB DANGLING FROM THE KEYED IGNITION SWITCH, THE KEY ROTATED TO THE ACC POSITION FROM THE RUN/ON POSITION AND THE ENGINE STOPPED. I WAS IN DRIVE AT THE TIME, SO I STOPPED THE VEHICLE, PLACED THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTER IN PARK AND RESTARTED THE ENGINE. ON ARRIVAL AT ENTERPRISE WHILE STOPPED IN THEIR PARKING LOT WITH FOOT ON THE BRAKE AND THE TRANSMISSION IN DRIVE, I WAS ABLE WITHOUT ANY DIFFICULTY TO TURN THE IGNITION KEY TO ACCESSORY OR OFF WHILE THE TRANSMISSION WAS STILL IN DRIVE. I DEMONSTRATED THIS SAME PROCEDURE TO THE ENTERPRISE AGENT WHO STATED THAT HE WOULD REMOVE IT FROM SERVICE AND TAKE IT TO A FORD DEALER FOR REPAIRS. FL TAG # DFSM59
MY 2015 FORD FUSION HYBRID HAD 11,000 MILES ON IT. I OPENED MY GARAGE DOOR AND GOT IN TO GO TO WORK AND CAR WAS DEAD. NO ELECTRICAL RESPONSE. CALLED FORD ROAD SERVICE AND CAR WAS DRAGGED OUT OF MY GARAGE AND ONTO A FLAT BED AND TAKEN TO MY DEALERSHIP. CAR HAS BEEN IN SHOP FOR A WEEK NOW AND STILL NO DIAGNOSIS. NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO, THE CAR IS DRAWING POWER WHEN IT IS TURNED OFF AND KILLS THE BATTERY IN 2 HOURS. THEY ARE WORKING WITH FORD SYSTEM WIDE AND NO ONE HAS SEEN THIS TYPE OF FAULT YET. TO ME IT SEEMS TO BE SOME KIND OF SOFTWARE FAULT BUT PER FORD TROUBLESHOOTING, THEY HAVE TO TEAR MY CAR APART AND CHECK EVERY WIRE AND FUSE BEFORE LOOKING AT THE SOFTWARE ISSUES. THIS IS MY FIRST HYBRID AND I AM QUESTIONING MY DECISION.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 21,900.
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE, I WENT TO REVERSE AND TURN AROUND. WHEN I SHIFTED INTO REVERSE ALL ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS FAILED, BRAKES NO LONGER WORKED, AND I SLOWLY WENT BACK UNTIL I HIT A SMALL CONCRETE PILLAR. THIS PROBLEM HAS HAPPENED NOW MULTIPLE TIMES, AT RANDOM SPEEDS AND RANDOM TIMES. IT'S NEVER SET ON A SPECIFIC MOTION OR ACTION.
I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW 2015 FORD FUSION. MY KNEE HAS HIT THE KEY FOB MULTIPLE TIMES WHILE DRIVING AND THE CAR HAS TURNED OFF WHILE IN MOTION. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION BECAUSE THE CAR SHUTS OFF WHILE IN TRAFFIC. THE KEY FOB STICKS WAY OUT AND FOR A GUY WHO IS 6FT IT IS VERY HARD TO AVOID HITTING THE KEY FOB WITH MY KNEE. THIS WILL KILL SOMEONE. I TOLD FORD AND THEY DON'T CARE. I TOLD THE DEALER I WANTED TO RETURN THE CAR AND THEY WOULD LET ME. PLEASE FIX THE KEY FOB. I BOUGHT THIS CAR ON MARCH 1, 2015. ON MARCH 12, 2015, I WAS DRIVING FROM SAN JOSE (AFTER WATCHING SHARKS GAME) TO SANTA CLARA (MY HOME) ON I-280, IN THE LEFT MOST LANE, WHEN I SAW LOSS OF POWER, ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND WARNING SAID "ALERT STOP SAFELY", BUT THE TIME I REACHED THE RIGHT MOST LANE, THE CAR LOST POWER AND STOPPED (30 SEC). I PRAYED TO GOD, AS THIS WAS AROUND 9:00PM AT NIGHT ON HIGHWAY. I RESTARTED THE CAR, IT STARTED AGAIN AND I WAS DRIVING ON LAWARENCY EXPRESS WAY, WHEN THE SAME THING HAPPENED, IT STOPPED. I RAN DIAGNOSTIC REPORT AND IT STATES THERE WERE COMPONENTS FAILURE IN ENGINE AND ELECTRIC SYSTEM. I STARTED AGAIN AND WENT HOME. THIS MORNING I GOT IT TOWED AND IT IS WITH SUNNYVALE FORD. OI AM THANKFUL TO GOD, THAT THIS DIDN'T RESULT IN ACCIDENT OR LOSS OF MY LIFE OR MY LOVED ONES. I WILL LIKE THIS TO INVESTIGATED, AS I HAVE READ ABOUT THE IGNITION FAILURE IN GM CARS THAT HAVE COST LIVES. PLEASE ACT IMMEDIATELY, BEFORE THIS HAPPENS TO SOMEONE ELSE. *TR
