The contact owns a 2007 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that the door panel detached from the driver’s and passenger’s side door. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer and it was diagnosed with needing the driver’s and passenger’s door panels replaced. The vehicle was repaired but continued to experience failure. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 3,900.
I HAVE A 2007 FORD MUSTANG WITH 8101.9 MILES. I ONLY DRIVE THIS VEHICLE DURING WARM SEASONS. I NOTICE THIS SPRING THAT MY REAR WIDOWS IS PULLING AWAY FROM THE CONVERTIBLE TOP.I CALLED A WINDOW REPAIR SHOP FOR WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A SIMPLE REPAIR AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE ENTIRE TOP WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THE TOLD ME THAT DUE TO THE CONVERTIBLE TOP SHRINK OVER TIME THAT THE WINDOW PULLS AWAY FROM THE WINDOW. THEY STATED THAT FORDS HAS CORRECT THIS PROBLEM WITH NEAR MODELS THEN MINE TO STOP THIS ISSUE. HE TOLD ME TO REPAIR THIS ISSUE ON MY CAR IT WOULD COST $2000.00. I FIND THAT NOT FAIR THAT I WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOE THIS ISSUE SINCE ITS A DEFECT IN THE CONVERTIBLE TOP AND NOT MY FAULT. THIS ISSUE HAPPEN BECAUSE OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF THIS PRODUCT AND NOT MINE. I CONTACTED FORD MOTOR COMPANY ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT HELP ME. SO BY THIS ISSUE DEALS WITH THE REAR WINDOW AND IS A SAFETY ISSUE, I AM REPORTING THIS DEFECT IN THE VEHICLE. MY CAR WAS IN STORAGE AWAY FROM THE ELEMENTS AND THE TOP SHRUNK IN SIZE AND CAUSED THIS TO HAPPEN. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD MUSTANG. AFTER IT RAINED, WATER WAS FOUND ON THE FRONT AND REAR PASSENGER FLOORS OF THE VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, WHILE DRIVING IN THE RAIN, WATER WAS HEARD IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO APPLE FORD LINCOLN OF YORK (1801 WHITEFORD RD, YORK, PA 17402, (717) 755-2911), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED DUE TO THE DIAGNOSTIC FEE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 109,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE ENTIRE FRONT OF THE HOOD HAS PAINT THAT IS BUBBLING UP AND AT CERTAIN POINTS THE PAINT HAS CHIPPED OFF TO REVEAL CORROSION AND WHAT LOOKS LIKE RUST.
MY KIDS AND WIFE AND I WAS RIDE THUR TOWN AND MY BACK GLASS ON MY 2007 MUSTANG FELL OUT AND HIT MY 16 YEAR OLD IN HEAD. I HAVE NOTICED FEW DAYS BE4 IT WAS SAGGIN BUT I NEVER THOUGH IT WAS GOING FALL OUT LIKE THAT AND I DONE RESEARCH AND BOUT 80 % OF THESE MUSTANG CONBERTIVE HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE BACK GLASS DOING FALLING OUT
BLISTERING OF THE PAINT AND PEELING OF THE PAINT ALL ALONG THE LIP OF THE ALUMINUM HOOD.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD MUSTANG. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH, THE INTERIOR DOOR PADDING AND LINING SEPARATED FROM THE DOOR. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN UPHOLSTERER WHO STATED THAT THE DOOR PANELS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED ON BOTH SIDES OF THE DOOR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
THE STRIPES OVER THE TOP OF THE BODYWORK HAVE CORRODED AND THIS IS THE 2ND REPLACEMENT OF THEM. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE FOR THE MANUFACTURER, FORD AND ORCAL. THIS IS COMMON TO SHELBY GTS FROM 2007 AND AFFECTED CARS IN CALIFORNIA. THEY HAVE DECIDED TO NOT WARRANTY IT AND ARE FORCING OWNERS TO REPLACE. THIS IS A 5000 DOLLARS, IN SOME CASES, ISSUE. THIS IS THE 2ND TIME I HAVE HAD THEM REPLACED AND IT IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CARE OF THE VEHICLE. FOLLOWING THEIR INSTRUCTIONS, I HAD THE SAME RESULTS. I'M THE OWNER OF A 2007 FORD MUSTANG. I STARTED NOTICING PAINT BUBBLES ALONG THE FRONT EDGE AND UNDERSIDE OF THE HOOD. I COME TO FIND OUT THAT THIS A COMMON PROBLEM NOT ONLY FOR SIMILAR MODEL YEAR MUSTANGS, BUT FOR OTHER FORD VEHICLES AS WELL. EVIDENCE SUGGESTS THAT FORD IS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM AND CONTINUES TO DO NOTHING ABOUT. I'VE BEEN TOLD THAT THE ONLY WAY TO FIX THE SITUATION IS TO REPLACE THE HOOD AND THAT I WOULD NEED TO COVER THE COST. FURTHERMORE, EVEN AFTER A NEW HOOD WAS INSTALLED, THIS ISSUE WOULD PROBABLY OCCUR AGAIN. VERY FRUSTRATING.
WE HAVE BEEN HAVING A LOT OF RAIN LATELY. WE PURCHASED THE CAR IN JANUARY. AFTER A HARD RAIN THE FLOOR BOARD ON THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT WOULD HAVE ABOUT 2 INCHES OF STINKY WATER STANDING. WHEN INVESTIGATING ON LINE I GUESS THIS IS A ISSUE WITH MOST MUSTANG OWNERS. IF YOU PARK WHERE ANY LEAVES OR DIRT CAN COLLECT IN THE FIREWALL UNDER THE WINDSHIELD. THERE ARE TWO RUBBER SEALS THAT GET PLUGGED WITH DIRT AND STUFF WHICH CAUSES THE FIRE WALL TO FILL WITH WATER AND BACK UP INTO THE CAR. IF YOU PULL THE PLUGS OUT CLEAN OUT THE DIRT THE WATER FLOWS OUT. THE FIRST TIME WE PULLED OUT THE PLUGS WE GOT ABOUT TWO GALLONS OF NASTY WATER THAT POURED INTO THE DRIVEWAY. WE CHECK IT EVERY COUPLE WEEKS NOW, AS LONG AS WE CLEAN PLUGS NO PROBLEM??? IS THERE A PERMANENT FIX FOR THIS ISSUE. WE HAD QUITE A SMELL IN THE CAR HAD TO HAVE IT DEEP CLEANED!! *TR
WHEN IT RAINS MY CAR IS LEAKING WATER BEHIND THE GLOVE BOX. PAINT ON HOOD AND RIGHT FRONT FENDER ARE BLISTERING AND BUBBLING DUE TO IRON CONTAMINATION CORROSION . THE FORD CORPORATION HAS KNOWN OF THIS PROBLEM SINCE 2005 AND NEVER INFORMED THE CONSUMER. *TR
THE PAINT ON THE HOOD OF THE CAR HAS RUSTED OFF AT NOT EVEN 40,000 MILES OF OWNING THE CAR. FORD DOES NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR FAULTY PAINT. THEIR WARRANTY ONLY COVERS BUMPER TO BUMPER, INCLUDING PAINT, UP TO 36,000 MILES. I HAVE OWNED CARS WHERE THE PAINT REMAINED INTACT WELL OVER 200,000 MILES. *TR
I PURCHASED A USED 2007 FORD MUSTANG SHELBY GT WITH 15K MILES. THERE WERE 3 SPOTS ON THE HOOD WHERE PAINT HAD BUBBLED. A LOCAL BODY SHOP SAID THE PROBLEM WAS THAT STEEL RIVETS HAD BEEN USED TO SECURE THE HOOD PIN DISKS TO THE HOOD AND ONE SPOT AT THE AIR SCOOP; ALUMINUM RIVETS SHOULD HAVE BEEN USED. *TR
I JUST PURCHASED THIS CAR IN SEPTEMBER AND DURING THE FIRST HARD RAIN MY FLOOR WAS COMPLETELY SOAKED WITH A PUDDLE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE FLOOR. AND WHEN I WOULD DRIVE, YOU COULD HEAR THE WATER POURING ONTO THE FLOOR. NOW MY PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY. I WILL PUT IT DOWN AND THEN TRY TO PUT IT UP AND IT WILL KEEP GOING UP AND DOWN ON IT'S OWN. MY 2007 FORD MUSTANG HAS LEAKED FROM UNDERNEATH THE PASSENGER SIDE GLOVEBOX SINCE I BOUGHT IT FROM CARMAX IN 2008. I TOOK IT BACK BUT LEAKS WERE NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANY. DID NOT REALIZE THIS WAS A COMMON ISSUE. NOW MY COMPUTER SENSORS HAVE WATER DAMAGE ISSUES I BELIEVE AND IT IS CAUSING ME TO FAIL EMISSIONS. *TR

MY 2007 FORD MUSTANG STARTED TO LEAK LAST YEAR 2011 EVERY TIME IT RAINS, WATER POURS FROM UNDER THE GLOVE BOX. YOU CAN BE DRIVING OR IN PARK AND THE WATER JUST CONTINUALLY RUNS. NOW MY MUSTANG HAS HAD ELECTRICAL ISSUES AND REAKS OF MOLD AND THE CAR IS NOW COMPLETELY RUINED BECAUSE OF THIS LEAK. FORD WILL NOT RECOGNIZE THIS AS A RECALL SO WE ARE FORCED TO PAY BECAUSE IT IS NOT UNDER WARRANTY ANY LONGER. THIS CAR IS NOW A LEMON BECAUSE FORD DID NOT BUILD THIS CAR CORRECTLY. THIS CAR IS NOT EVEN PAID OFF YET AND IS NOW CONSIDERED JUNK. AFTER BEING IN HURRICANE IRENE MY CAR NOW GETS LARGE AMOUNTS OF WATER IN THE PASSENGER SIDE THAT COMES IN FROM UNDER THE PASSENGER SIDE DASH. AFTER A LARGE RAIN FALL 11/28/2011 I HAVE APPROX. 3 TO 4 INCHES OF WATER STANDING ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF MY CAR FROM THE FRONT TO THE BACK. I HAVE CALLED FORD AND THEY HAVE BEEN NO HELP. *KB
2007 FORD MUSTANG V6 HAS WATER LEAKING FROM UNDERNEATH PASSENGER DASH. AFTER INSPECTION WATER WAS SEEN DRIPPING RAPIDLY FROM CLIMATE CONTROL FAN BOX ONTO EXPOSED ELECTRICAL WIRE CONNECTIONS. ONLY HAPPENS WHEN IT RAINS AND WATER CAN BE HEARD SPLASHING WITHIN FAN BOX WHEN DRIVING. FORD ISSUED A TSB BUT WATER DRIPPING ON EXPOSED ELECTRIC CAN CAUSE RISK OF SHORT AND FIRE. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THE DEALER REPLACED THE SEAL ON THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR. THE CONTACT STATED THE FAILURE HAPPEN AGAIN ON 2/2/11, AND SHE HAD AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE DEALER. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 65,000.
PAINT IS PEELING OFF THE HOOD OF MY 2007 FORD MUSTANG. I NOTICED THE 06-07 MUSTANGS HAVE A SIMILAR PROBLEM AND WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER IT IS BECAUSE THEY HAVE AN ALUMINUM HOOD. THESE CARS SHOULD BE RECALLED, AND THE HOOD SHOULD BE PAINTED FOR FREE BECAUSE PAINT SHOULD LAST LONGER THAN THREE YEARS. *TR

SHE HEARD A DRIPPING NOISE WHEN SHE WAS ACCELERATING AND NOTICED THAT THE WATER WAS LEAKING ONTO THE FLOORBOARD. SHE HAS NOT TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER PRIOR TO FILING THE COMPLAINT. SHE CALLED THE MANUFACTURER BUT WAS TOLD THAT THEY COULD NOT ASSIST HER. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 37,800. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 37,760.
