I APPLIED MY BRAKE PEDAL AND IT WAS FINE ONE SECOND AND THEN LOST PRESSURE AND WENT TO THE FLOOR WITH A POPPING FEELING ON THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL AND THEN I TURN MY WHEEL INTO THE OTHER LANE TO AVOID HITTING THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME AND A CAR CAME FROM NO WHERE IN THE OTHER DIRECTION AND HIT MY 1994 RANGER ON THE RIGHT REAR WHEEL AND BEDSIDE . *TR
WHILE MAKING RIGHT HAND TURNS CONSUMER HEARD A LOUD GRINDING NOISE COMING FROM THE REAR BRAKES. DEALERSHIP REPAIRED THE PROBLEM ONCE, BUT IT DID NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. *AK
RECEIVED RECALL 96V024001 BRAKES: STUDS ON HYDRAULIC CYLINDER HAD BROKEN. CYLINDER HAD SEPARATED CAUSING THE BRAKES TO FAIL. *BF THE FAILURE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT WHICH RESULTED IN $300 WORTH OF DAMAGE. THE CONSUMER REQUEST REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE REPAIRS. *NM
THE PARKING BRAKE LIGHT AND ABS LIGHT COME ON AFTER THE TRUCK HAS TO MAKE A HARD STOP AND SEEMS LIKE THE BRAKES DON'T WORK. ALSO THE LIGHTS STAY ON UNTIL THE RBAS VALVE IS CHANGE. THIS HAS HAPPEN TO ME TWO TIMES AND THIS WAS VERY SCAREY WHEN THIS HAPPENS. YOU DON'T KNOW IF YOU ARE GOING TO STOP THE TRUCK. DT
WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH THE VEHICLE FRONT RIGHT BRAKES LOCKED UP. CONSUMER HAD VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY INDICATED THAT THE BRAKE CALIPERS HAD SEIZED UP. THIS CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE BRAKE ROTORS, DRUMS AND PADS. THE DEALERSHIP INDICATED THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE VEHICLE BUT THEY ARE NOT RECALLING THEM. TS
WATER DRIPS THROUGH DRAIN HOLE IN BED ONTO LEFT REAR BRAKE LINE. LINE RUSTED THROUGH AND ALL BRAKES WERE LOST. MECHANIC STATES THIS IS COMMON WITH FORD RANGERS. I HAVE THE FAILED PART.*AK

VEHICLE EXPERIENCED EXACT SYMPTONS AS STATED IN RECALL 96V024001/ STUDS BEGAN CRACKING TO POWER BRAKE VACCUM BOOSTER ASSEMBLY. MANUFACTURER HAS ADVISED CONSUMER THAT THIS VEHICLE WAS NOT A PART OF RECALL DUE TO VIN.*AK
BOLT BROKE BETWEEN THE VACUUM BOOSTER AND MASTER CYLINDER. *AK
I WAS COMING FROM PORT AUTHOR TEXAS, AND WHEN I WAS ABOUT 1 OR 2 MILES FROM MY HOUSE THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL LOCKED UP. THE CALIPER THAT WORKS THE BRAKE CAME OUT AND LOCKED THE WHEEL UP. I WAS TRAVELING AT 55MPH WHEN IT LOCKED UP, AND I DID NOT APPLY MY BRAKE FOR IT TO HAPPEN. I REALIZE MY TRUCK IS A 1994 MODEL, HOWEVER, THE ISSUE I'AM TRYING TO STRESS IS THIS; I ONLY HAVE 15,000 MILES, AND DRIVE IT VERY LITTLE. MY VEHICLE DOES NOT HAVE THE WEAR AND TEAR FOR THIS TO HAVE HAPPENED! I FEEL IT IS A FACTORY DEFECT, AND I SHOULD NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIR. I AM REQUESTING AN INVESTIGATION INTO THIS MATTER BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED, AND A REMIBURSMENT FOR THE REPAIR COST I HAVE ALREADY MADE. POINT TO MENTION: IF IT WAS NOT A DEFECT, THEN WHY DID THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY CHANGE THE FRONT LEFT CALIPERS. *AK

THE TRUCK IS A 1994 RANGER. IT PRESENTLY HAS 37000 MILES ON IT . BOTH FRONT ROTORSDEVELOPED CRACKS . A THUMPING OCCURRED WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES . I HAD A MECHANIC LOOK AT IT . HE SHOWED ME THE CRACKS IN THE ROTORS . I HAD IT FIXED . THE ROTORSS COST ME 118. DOLLARS . THIS FAILURE SEEMS PREMATURE TO ME . I DON'T DRIVE MANY MILES DURING THE YEAR SO IT DIDN,T SHOW UP DURING THE WARRANTY PERIOD. I ONLY DRIVE ABOUT 7000 MILES A YEAR . DO I HAVE A RECOURSE OR DO I JUST PAY IT AND SHUT UP ? WE'VE FOUND THERE HAS BEEN SEVERAL RECALLS ON THE BRAKES, FUEL, WINDOWS, ECT. WE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF IN FACT ANY OF THESE PROBLEMS HAVE EVER BEEN ADDRESSED, AS WE HAVE NEVER BEEN NOTIFIED, AND MARROONE, AND WORLD FORD HAVE DONE BRAKE JOBS ON THIS VEHICLE- NOONE EVER MENTIONED THESE RECALLS TO US, AND I'LL BET THESE PROBLEMS WERE NEVER FIXED, AND THAT IS WHY WE HAVE TO KEEP HAVING THIS VEHICLE SERVICED FOR THE SAME PROBLEMS. HOW CAN WE FIND OUT THIS INFORMATION??? *AK
VEHICLE EXPERIENCED FAILURE OF THE RECALL COMPONENT PRIOR TO RECALL NOTICE CAUSING EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO OTHER BRAKE COMPONENTS, HOWEVER REIMBURSEMENT WAS ONLY FOR BOOSTER UNIT NOT THE OTHER COMPONENTS. (96V-024) MJS
WHILE DRIVING ON THE ROAD AND APPROACHING A STOP SIGN, WENT TO APPLY THE BRAKES, AND THEY WOULD LOCK UP AND SHIMMY. *AK
ON-GOING / INTERMITTENT PROBLEM WITH VEHICLE SLIDING WHENEVER BRAKES ARE APPLIED. PROBLEM OCCURS AT LOW OR HIGH SPEED. VEHICLE BEING INSPECTED BY INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP. DEALER / M.ANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED AT THIS TIME. *AK

FRONT PASSENGER AND DRIVER FIBER DISC BRAKE PISTON BENT, CAUSING, THE BRAKES TO LOCK UP. DEALER REPLACED BOTH CALIPERS WITH STEEL PISTON. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER FAILED PREMATURELY BECAUSE MANUFACTURER DOES NOT REMOVE THE SEAM BURR ON PLASTIC FLUID RESERVOIR, WHERE IT ATTACHES TO THE MASTER CYLINDER BODY. I REPLACED THE MASTER CYLINDER FOR THE FIRST TIME IN JULY OF 1998. LAST JANUARY I DISCOVERED THE MASTER CYLINDER LEAKING AGAIN, AFTER I EXPERIENCED A BRAKE LIGHT COMING ON DURING TURNS. EXPERIENCE LED ME TO BELIEVE THAT MY BRAKE FLUID WAS LOW, IT WAS. THIS EVENING, I REPLACED THE MASTER CYLINDER AGAIN. UPON PRIMING TO CYLINDER, MY FRIEND DISCOVERED BRAKE FLUID SEEPING THROUGH THE CYLINDER BODY AND THE RESERVOIR. BOTH MASTER CYLINDERS, BRAND NEW, FROM NAPA AUTO PARTS STORE IN BOISE, ID FAILED PREMATURELY. *AK
THE FRONT FIBER DISC BRAKE PISTON BENT WHICH CAUSES THE WHEELS TO LOCK UP. REPLACED BOTH CALIPERS WITH STEEL PISTON. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
BRAKE LOCK UP AND SKID WHILE DRIVING PRIOR TO RECALL NOTICE OR REPAIR (96V-024). MJS
ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS BRAKE SYSTEM LOCKED UP, CAUSING VEHICLE TO SKID. *YC
THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKES(NOT SURE IF AIR OR HYDRAULIC) LOCKED UP, CAUSING ME TO SLIDE INTO THE BACK OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. *AK
WHEN I WENT TO MOVE MY TRUCK IN THE MORNING OF DECEMBER 30, 1998, THE REAR BRAKE ASSEMBLY COMPLETELY LOCKED UP. I TRIED TO ROCK IT LOOSE BY SHIFTING GEARS. I HAD TO CALL A TOW TRUCK AND THEY HAD TO DRAG IT ONTO THE ROAD IN ORDER TO LIFT THE REAR, AND NEITHER REAR BROKE LOOSE WHILE THEY DRUG IT. THE MECHANIC SAID THE BRAKE CYLINDERS WERE COMPLETELY RUSTED AND ALL THE REAR BRAKE HARDWARE WAS REPLACED. IN ADDITION, I HAD TO GET A NEW CLUTCH FROM TRYING TO BREAK THE WHEELS FREE. THE TOTAL BILL WAS $1000.00 . I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT A TRUCK BARELY 4 YEARS OLD SHOULD HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM. LUCKILY, THE BRAKES DID NOT LOCK UP WHILE I WAS DRIVING THE TRUCK. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AT 30 MPH THE BRAKE PADS FELL OFF THE VEHICLE WHICH DAMAGED THE ROTORS AND OTHER PARTS ON THE VEHICLE. *AK
