CAR STALLED NUMEROUS TIMES AT ANY SPEED. DEALER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. TS
CAR DIED WHEN PULLING FROM STOP, HAD PREVIOUSLY DIED WHEN GOING 20 MPH. FIRST TIME DEALER SAID NO WAY TO CHECK. THIS TIME ANOTHER DEALER CHECKING AND SAID IDLE WAS LOW. CAR NOT PART OF IGINITION RECALL BUT VERY SAME SYMPTONS. WHEN CAR WS LESS THAN 1 YR OLD, TOOK TO DEALER FOR SOMEWHAT SIMILAR PROBLEM AND WAS TOLD THAT KEYCHAIN MAY HAVE INTERFERRED WITH IGNITION. MADE DETAILED REPORT OF PROBLEM AT THE DEALER. HAD 1990 HONDA CIVIC DIE ON FREEWAY, HAD 49,000 MILE ON CAR. WAS A SWITCH AND UNDER WARRANTY.VERY CONCERNED THAT I WILL BE IN AN ACCIDENT. THIS PROBLEM SEEMS FAR TOO COMMON WITH HONDA. WILL THINK TWICE ABOUT EVER BUYING ONE AGAIN. HAD 1980 HONDA THAT STALLED AT RED LIGHTS BUT CAR SO OLD -ABOUT 140,000 MILE THAT I JUST TRADED IT IN.
CONSUMER STATES THAT AFTER FILLING THE GAS TANK, THE CHECK ENGING LIGHTS COMES ON AND STAYS ON, THIS OCCURS BECAUSE GAS IS LEAKING INTO THE SPARK PLUG,WHICH MAY CAUSE AN ENGINE FIRE. CONSUMER WAS INFORMED BY DEALER THAT SHE HAS TO CLICK HER CAP 3 TIMES TO AVOID THIS PROBLEM. NLM CONSUMER STATED THAT CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. DEALER DIAGNOSED BAD EVAPORATIVE CANISTER CONTROL VALVE AND REPLACED THE VALVE. *YH
THE CAR JERKED AND STALLED IN ONCOMING TRAFFIC. CARS WERE ABLE TO MISS ME AT THAT TIME. THIS OCCURED AND I TOOK IT IMMEDIATELY TO DEALERSHIP WHERE REPLACEMENTS OF OUTPUT SHAFT SEAL X 2 WAS DONE. IT HAS CONTINUED TO PULL AND STALL AND STILL HAVING PROBLEMS. THE TRASMISSION HAS BEEN SERVICED AND HAVE NEVER HAD PROBEMS. FEEL THAT A 99 HONDA SHOULD NOT HAVE TRANSMISSION FAILURES AT THIS TIME. MR

CONSUMER STATES OF HAVING PROBLEMS WITH HER TRANSMISION,CONSUMER ALSO STATES THAT THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS METTER ON 2000 AND 2001 VEHICLES ALREADY.DEALER WAS NOTIFIED. *MR
WHEN DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS THE ENGINE WILL PAUSE AND THEN RETURN TO NORMAL. THE DEALER HAS REPLACED THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER; HOWEVER THE PROBLEM STILL OCCURS. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *MR
CONSUMER STATES VEHICLE IS STALLING WHILE DRIVING, DEALER CAN NOT REMEDY PROBLEM AND HAS TRIED BY REPLACING THE IGNITOR ON TWO OCCASIONS AND SPARK PLUGS ONCE. *SLC
WHILE DRIVING, THE CRANKSHAFT/PULLEY ENGINE BROKE, CAUSING VEHICLE TO STALL OUT. ALMOST CAUSING AN ACCIDENT.*AK CONSUMER ALSO STATED THAT A BOLT INSIDE THE ENGINE WAS MISSING, AND SOME PART OF THE ENGINE WAS DEFECTIVE WHICH CAUSED THE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY TO BREAK (ALL PART OUTSIDE ENGINE).*SCC
THIS PROBLEM EFFECTS EMISSIONS, WHICH THE GOVERNMENT HAS MANDATED AN EXTENSION ON HONDA WARRANTIES TO 8 YEAR/ 80,000 MILES. THIS APPEARS TO BE A FAIRLY COMMON PROBLEM. ONE TO WHICH THE HONDA CORPORATION FAILS TO RESPOND. THERE APPEARS TO BE EITHER A FAULTY INDICATION OF EMISSION PROBLEMS OR PARTS THAT ARE TRULY DEFECTIVE - WEARING OUT BEFORE THEIR NORMAL LIFE EXPECTANCY.*AK
THE VEHICLE STARTED HESITATING AND PULLING VIOLENTLY FORWARD. TWICE HAVING THE VEHICLE CHECKED THE SECOND DRUM WAS DIAGNOSED AS THE PROBLEM CAUSING THE CATYLIC CONVERTER TO GO OUT. THE PROBLEM WAS PARTIALLY CORRECTED BY A INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE DEALER WAS INFORMED OF THE PROBLEM. PLEASE PROVIDE MORE INFORMATION.*JB
WHILE THE CONSUMER WAS DRIVING THE MAINTENANCE NEEDED AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS ILLUMINATED, THE DEALER STATED THAT THE EGR VALVE WAS CLOGGED, CONSUMER IS CONCERNED DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE VEHICLE PASSED 2 EMISSIONS TESTS IN LESS THAN A 4 MONTH PERIOD. *YH
EGR VALVE EMISSIONS CONTINOUSLY CLOGS AND NO ONE CONTACTED ME ABOUT THE RECALL. I SPENT $500 AT OTHER MECHANICS UNTIL I WAS FINALLY TOLD TO CALL HONDA.

WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 15 TO 20 MPH ENGINE STALLED UNEXPECTEDLY. DEALERSHIP EXAMINED VEHICLE BUT WAS UNABLE TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM. *JG *AK

INTERMITTENT STALLING WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED. VEHICLE BEEN IN DEALER'S SHOP ON 3 OCCASIONS, AND DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE PROBLEM. FEEL FREE TO PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION CONCERNING THIS MATTER.*AK
VEHICLE SHUTSDOWN WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING. THERE IS A HESITATION BEFORE SHUTTING DOWN.*AK
FOR NO APPARENT REASON MY CAR STOPS WHILE DRIVING. THIS ENGINE SHUTS DOWN FORCING ME TO MAKE AN EMERGENCY STOP WHETHER I AM DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY OR SURFACE STREETS. THIS HAS HAPPENED REPEATEDLY AND REGARDLESS OF THE SPEED AT WHICH I AM DRIVING. I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO THE AUTO REPARI SHOP EACH TIME IT HAS OCCURRED OVER THE LAST 2 WEEKS, FOR A TOTAL OF 7 TIMES. EACH TIME THE CAR IS PROBED AND DIAGNOSTIC TESTING IS CONDUCTED BUT STILL THE PROBLEM CANNOT BE IDENTIFIED. I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY THE MECHANICS THAT THE COMPUTER IN MY CAR FAILS TO PROVIDE A CODE WHICH COULD THEN BE USED TO TRACE THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM. YESTERDAY, DEC. 18TH, THE MECHANICS HAD A GROUP DISCUSSION ABOUT HO*AK
VEHICLE STALLED OUT AND DIED WITHOUT WARNING. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION.*AK
CAR STALLED WHILE DRIVING. *AK
CRANKSHAFT BOLT APPEARS TO BE SHEARED OFF. THAT HELD THE PULLY IN PLACE WHICH HOLDS ON THE TIMING CHAIN AND 2 OTHER BELTS. I CONTACTED THE HONDA CORPORATION WHO WAS IN TOUCH WITH WILDE HONDA AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE IS NO DEFECT WITH THE BOLT. I HAVE SPOKEN TO MANY OTHER MECHANICS AND THEY HAVE SAID THAT IT IS MOST LIKELY DUE TO THE FACTORY TORQUEING THE BOLT DOWN TO TIGHT WHICH MAY HAVE CAUSED A STRESS FRACTURE. WILDE HONDA ALSO SAID THAT IT WAS DUE TO THE AIR INTAKE FILTER BEING CHANGED AND THE TIRES BEING WORN. I FIND THAT HARD TO BELIEVE AND HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT ,THATIS HIGHLY UNLIKELY. WOULD YOU PLEASE CHECK INTO THIS AND LET ME KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY OTHER CASES LIKE THIS. THANK YOU. *AK
VEHICLE STALLED ONCE WHILE DRIVING 50-55 MPH. DEALER COULD NOT FIND A PROBLEM WITH VEHICLE.*AK THE VEHICLE STALLS WHEN APPLYING BRAKE TO SLOW DOWN. *YH
VEHICLE STALLS WHILE AT STOP SIGNS OR AT AN IDLE, OCCASIONAL STALLING OCCURS AT 55 MPH AND UNDER, THE VEHICLE ALWAYS STARTS RIGHT BACK UP, THE DEALER CAN NOT LOCATE THE PROBLEM, CONSUMER STATES THE PROBLEM IS GETTING WORSE AND THAT THE STALLING HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES. *SLC
THE ENGINE SHUTS DOWN WITH NO WARNING. THE PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED 5 TIMES. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED ON A SIDE STREET AT 35MPH. THE GREEN SECURITY KEY LIGHT CAME ON...EXPERIENCED A LOSS OF POWER AND THEN ALL OTHER LIGHTS CAME ON AND CAR STOPPED. I WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE ENGINE. A FEW WEEKS LATER ON THE FREEWAY...AT 70MPH...GREEN SECURITY LIGHT CAME ON...EXPERIENCED A LOSS OF POWER...AND THEN...POWER CAME BACK AND CAR DROVE ON NORMALLY. THIRD TIME, DRIVING OVER RAIL ROAD TRACKS, AT 10 MPH, GREEN LIGHT CAME ON, ENGINE CUT OFF...VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED. FOURTH TIME, FREEWAY AT 70MPH, GREEN KEY LIGHT CAME ON, EXPERIENCED LOSS OF POWER, ENGINE CUT OFF. TRIED TO RESTART CAR SEVERAL TIMES UNSUCCESSFULLY. WAITED 45 MINUTES AND THEN CAR RESTARTED. THIS PROBLEM IS A DIRECT THREAT TO MY LIFE. PLEASE HELP. *AK
