Infotainment center constantly glitches! Ghost touches. No way to fix it. Had screen replaced 3 times by Honda. Safety hazard because my maps will go off road. Needs fixed ASAP!
this problem is related an Infotainment system problem. Infotainment screen turning on/off randomly, restarting unexpectedly, and autonomously switching between radio stations (e.g., AM to FM), audio sources (e.g., Bluetooth), maps, or other apps—are a well-documented problem for the 2022 Honda Accord (and similar 10th-gen models). This is often linked to faulty touchscreens, software glitches, or hardware defects. I have had the infotainment system replace less than a year ago, the problem has returned. This become a safety issue because some of the cars "Systems" are run from the infotainment center. When getting a low tire pressure alarm then refilling the tire to proper capacity, the tps cant be re-calibrated because the infotainment system is not responding to touch control.
The screen on my honda accord and hundreds if not thousands of other people that I have seen online, randomly begins constantly activating buttons on screen which has almost resulted in a car accident for me. Very danger and unacceptable, honda is aware of the issue and refused to fix it. This is going to get people killed if not fixed.
The infotainment touchscreen/head unit in my 2022 Honda Accord Touring repeatedly registers random “ghost touches” without being touched. This defect primarily affects Apple CarPlay Maps, where the screen zooms, jumps, or changes routes on its own. On multiple occasions, it has caused me to miss turns and created distractions while driving, putting my safety and others at risk. The problem began around may 2025 and occurs frequently. There are no warning lamps or error codes. The dealer was informed but stated that there is no recall or service bulletin, and replacement would only be at the owner’s expense. This issue is widespread among Honda Accord owners, with many reporting identical ghost touch malfunctions online. Because the infotainment screen also controls navigation, climate, and audio functions, the defect interferes with essential driving controls and creates a significant safety hazard.
The screen is not working. In the middle of driving, the screen keeps changing and appears that someone is touching it, but no one is. It starts beeping, the audio switches, the GPS goes off, and will not change even when you try clicking the buttons. It is extremely distracting while driving, navigation does not respond, and interferes with the ability to focus on driving. The problem has been reproduced by the dealer, has happened to numerous other customers, and the dealers have done nothing to fix it. It has been inspected by the Honda dealership multiple times. No warning prior to failure. According to research, this has been an ongoing problem for various other people, yet there is still not a fix available for this safety issue. This is unacceptable.
The GPS goes unresponsive as part of the symptoms of the infotainment system acting by itself. This poses a distraction and driving risk while trying to not miss the destination. Also radio Touchscreen becomes unresponsive while radio changes from stations to bluetooth back to stations on its own.
The faulty touch screen infotainment system creates an environment that is not conducive to safe driving. This specific issue is referred to as the "ghost touch" across the industry which involves the system randomly rapidly pressing buttons autonomously and producing an audible beep with every press of the button. Not only is every random beep a distraction but this issue causes drivers to attempt to regain control of the infotainment system while driving due to the fact that most drivers now rely on these systems for navigation and to abide by hands-free traffic laws. You may ask "Why don't you simply turn the infotainment system off?". Well I tried and the system turns itself back on. This creates a scenario that is equivalent to the dangers presented by texting and driving. A simple google search of 'Honda Accord Ghost Touch' will yield a myriad of results with consumers experiencing this issue and sharing the same concerns. I have audio-video recording of this issue and have spoken to the service advisor at Pearson Honda located in Mildothian, VA and they are requesting that customers pay $180 for a diagnosis of this well known issue but they do not know the exact cause or solution. Customers have had their systems reset and even had the screen replaced and the issue still occurs. This issue has been present in my vehicle for at least 3 months but has progressively gotten worse overtime to the point that driving the vehicle is intolerable as it distracts me while I'm driving and causes a great amount of frustration which also effects my driving behavior.
