The contact owned a 2003 Honda Civic. The contact stated while driving at approximately 30 MPH and attempting to proceed at a green light, the front passenger side of the vehicle crashed into the front driver-side of another vehicle. The air bags were not deployed. The contact noticed that there were bruises on both of her knees and endured neck and back pain from the impact. Medical attention was sought. No one else was injured that was not in the vehicle. No warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle stopped in the middle of the intersection. The vehicle was not drivable and was towed to a dealer; the vehicle received a diagnosis stating that the vehicle was totaled. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 154,311.
Air bag light came on for no reason. [XXX]
Both the side airbag and front airbag lights on the dashboard are on, and the mechanic I go to has no clue why the warning lights are on. I am concerned about my safety in the event of a crash, as I don’t know if they will deploy, or fail.
The contact owns a 2003 Honda Civic. The contact stated that she had previously received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V499000 (Air Bags) and the vehicle was taken to the dealer for the front driver's air bag replacement; however, upon picking up the vehicle, she noticed that the air bag warning light was illuminated. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the warning light was illuminated prior to the recall repair. The vehicle then was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that a disconnected electrical wire for the air bag might have caused the impact sensor to fail. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000. The VIN was not available.
The contact owns a 2003 Honda Civic. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V501000(Air Bags) and NHTSA Campaign Number 19V182000 (Air Bags) would like to be removed from the recall distribution list. The local dealer and manufacturer were not contacted.
My Air Bag light indicator light has come on and does not go off. My car is a 2003 Honda Civic LX module. I am the third owner of this vehicle. I bought it at Kelly Nissan on 248 E in Easton, Pa with 117,880 miles. It has 123,000 miles on it now. There were no other indicator lights on prior to this safety issue, air bag light indicator light coming on and it is still on at the present time, I need it fixed, because it has to be inspected by July 31, 2022, and I do not think it will pass Pa inspection. I ACCIDENT ON 7/23/2020 ONLY RIGHT PASSENGER AIR BAG DEPLOYED. THE CAR WAS HIT ON THE DRIVERS SIDE AND CAR WAS TOTALED. THE AIR BAGS WERE REPLACED BY HONDA MECHANIC FOR RECALL FOR AIRBAGS ON 8/31/19.
NOTHING HAS HAPPENED YET, BUT I AM WORRIED SOMETHING WILL. THE PROBLEMS WITH THE AIRBAGS ON MY CAR ARE BEYOND RIDICULOUS AT THIS POINT AND SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE. I AM WORRIED ABOUT MY SAFETY WHEN DRIVING MY ONLY CAR. THE VEHICLE HAS ALREADY BEEN RECALLED TWICE NOW AND IT SEEMS THAT THE AIRBAG PROBLEMS HAVE STILL NOT BEEN RESOLVED. HONDA IS UNABLE TO FIX THE CURRENT ISSUE UNTIL THEY HAVE THE PARTS, WHICH COULD BE A LONG TIME. I AM EITHER FORCED TO GET A NEW CAR OR DRIVE IN A CAR THAT MIGHT HAVE AIRBAGS THAT WON'T DEPLOY IN AN ACCIDENT. IS SOMETHING GOING TO BE DONE ABOUT ALL THE CARS ON THE ROAD WITH THESE PROBLEMS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2003 HONDA CIVIC. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE TRAVELING AT 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF HER SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES, CAUSING THE CONTACT TO REAR END THE VEHICLE. UPON IMPACT, THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAG DEPLOYED BREAKING THE WINDOW. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AT THE SCENE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED MEDICAL ATTENTION AT THE SCENE AND WAS GIVEN AN IV. SHE WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL BY AMBULANCE AND TREATED FOR INJURIES TO HER STOMACH, CHEST, RIGHT LEG, AND RIGHT FOOT. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO TREATED FOR A CONCUSSION. THE CONTACT'S PASSENGER NOR THE OTHER DRIVER WERE TREATED FOR INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AT THE SCENE AND TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE CONTACT WENT HONDA OF SALEM (1101 VAN NESS AVE NE, SALEM, OR 97301) AND WAS RECEIVED NO ASSISTANCE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 210,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. *DT*JB
TAKATA RECALL. HONDA CAME TO MY HOUSE TO REPLACE AIR BAGS AND NOW THE SRS LIGHT IS ON AND HONDA WANTS TO CHARGE ME 982.00 BECAUSE THEY SAID IT IS A COMPUTER PROBLEM.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 HONDA CIVIC. WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, THE AIR BAG INDICATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED AFTER SERVICE WAS PERFORMED TO REPLACE THE AIR BAG INFLATOR. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. HONDA OF STEVENS CREEK (4590 STEVENS CREEK BLVD, SAN JOSE, CA) WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 129,000.
THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG INFLATOR HAS BEEN RECALLED. I CAN REPLACE IT FREE. BUT THE REPLACEMENT WILL BE AN ACT OF FUTILITY BECAUSE THE SRS LIGHT IS ON, THE SENSOR IS PROBABLY BROKEN, AND IF THERE IS AN ACCIDENT THE AIR BAG WON'T GO OFF. (I HAVE NOT SCHEDULED THE POINTLESS ACT.) I SPOKE TO SOMEONE IN COMPLAINTS. IF THE SRS LIGHT IS DUE TO A SENSOR PROBLEM, REPLACEMENT WILL COST ANOTHER $1900. DEALERS ARE PRIVATELY OWNED AND THEY CHARGE WHAT THEY CHARGE. NEVER MIND THE FACT THAT HONDA MAKES THE SENSOR AND PRICES THEM HIGH. THAT, IN TURN, FORCES DEALERS TO CHARGE A LOT.
TAKATA RECALL - THIS IS CRAZY...I FIRST HAD TO HAVE THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG RECALL DONE ON MY VEHICLE. NOW YEARS LATER I NEED TO BRING THE CAR BACK IN FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE RECALL. NEXT IT WILL BE SOME OTHER PART. IF SOMETHING HAPPENS TO MY CAR WITH THESE AIRBAGS, I AM NOT ONLY GOING AFTER HONDA AND TAKATA, BUT THE REGULATORS. YOU ALL NEED TO BE MAKING SURE PEOPLE ARE SAFE. TOO MANY PEOPLE ARE IMPACTED BY THIS. YOU ALL NEED TO HAVE THE MANUFACTURER DO A COMPLETE INSPECTION ON ANYTHING PERTAINING TO THE AIRBAGS!

TAKATA RECALL THE AIR BAGS CAME OUT PREMATURELY WHILE IN MOTION
TAKATA RECALL? I WAS IN AN ACCIDENT WITH A MAJOR IMPACT TO MY CAR AND NONE OF THE AIRBAGS INFLATED. I WAS STOPPED ON A FREEWAY OFF-RAMP AND ANOTHER VEHICLE REAR-ENDED ME WITH FULL SPEED PUSHING ME TO COLLIDE WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME.
TAKATA RECALL, RECALL? THE ORIGINAL AIRBAGS HAVE BEEN REPLACED, APPROXIMATELY 18 MONTHS AGO. NOW THE AIRBAG LIGHT HAS COME ON - AND STAYS ON. I CAME ON 2 WEEKS AGO FOR NO APPARENT REASON (NO CRASH OR OTHER REASON IT WOULD COME ON). IT IS ON FROM THE TIME I TURN THE CAR ON UNTIL I TURN THE CAR OFF.
TAKATA RECALL (15V-370), AFTER BRINGING MY VEHICLE INTO HONDA FOR THE TAKATA RECALL THE SRS LIGHT CAME ON. SINCE IT WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL I DID NOT CONTACT THEM FIGURING THAT IT WOULD NOT BE COVERED. HOWEVER, I HAVE SEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME THING HAPPENING TO OTHERS ONLINE. IT ALSO HAPPENED TO A FRIEND OF MINE AND HONDA COVERED IT SO I CALLED AND WAS TOLD IT WOULD NOT BE COVERED IT MUST BE A COINCIDENCE AND CERTAINLY NOT FROM A DEFECT OR IMPROPER WORK. I FIND IT VERY ODD THAT THE LIGHT CAME ON RIGHT AFTER THE WORK ON THE RECALL. I HAD DOUBTS ABOUT BRINING IT IN AND SHOULD NOT HAVE DONE IT. THEY SAY IT IS PROBABLY RELATED TO A SENSOR, WHICH I HAVE GATHERED COULD HAVE BEEN FROM IMPROPER WORK.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE AIR BAG SYSTEM FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V320000 (AIR BAGS), BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 210,000.

THE CONSUMER STATED THAT WAS BACK IN JANUARY 2015 AND AS OF JULY 11, 2015 THE PARTS ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE. *JB
