The contact stated that prior to the failure, the message "BRAKE" was displayed, the steering wheel vibrated, and the vehicle quickly decelerated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact was informed that the dealer was not aware of the failure. The dealer advised the contact to deactivate the CMBS as needed. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was unknown.
Unexpected braking when there are no other obstacles on the road. I need to manually turnoff the collision mitigation braking system (CMBS) every time I start the vehicle. I have notified the dealer as well as Honda and have not received any solution.
