HONDA/TAKATA RECALL: WE RECEIVED A NOTICE IN JUNE 2016 THAT OUR VEHICLE HAD A RECALL. RECALL IS DATED 5/23/16. IT HAS BEEN 7 1/2 MONTHS AND IT STILL HAS NOT BEEN REMEDIED. THEIR SUGGESTION IS FOR NO ONE TO SIT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. THAT IS NOT A OPTION FOR OUR FAMILY. WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO FIX THIS? I WANT A NEW VEHICLE IF THEY CANNOT FIX IT SOON.

THE DEALER SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE RECALL AND LATER STATED THAT THEY WOULD CALL THE CONTACT ONCE THEY WERE AVAILABLE TO SCHEDULE THE REPAIR, BUT MADE NO MENTION OF PART AVAILABILITY. THE DEALER FAILED TO FOLLOW-UP TO LET THE CONTACT KNOW THE STATUS OF SCHEDULING THE TWO RECALL REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED TO DETERMINE WHEN THE PARTS WOULD BE SUPPLIED TO THE DEALER. "TAKATA RECALL" I HAVE RECEIVED TWO LETTERS FROM HONDA ABOUT THE AIRBAG RECALLS, ONE DATED MARCH 2016 FOR DRIVER AIRBAG RECALL AND ONE DATED JULY 2016 FOR PASSENGER AIRBAG RECALL. TO DATE, NOTHING HAS BEEN REPLACED, MUCH TO MY DISMAY. I KEEP CHECKING WITH HONDA OF OCALA (FLORIDA) AND THEY KEEP TELLING ME THEY CAN'T GET THE PARTS. SINCE THIS IS SO VERY DANGEROUS, WHY CAN'T THIS BE CORRECTED? IT HAS BEEN OVER 5 MONTHS SINCE I RECEIVED THE FIRST LETTER OF RECALL AND ALMOST TWO MONTHS SINCE I RECEIVED THE SECOND LETTER OF RECALL. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM? I KEEP READING ABOUT THE DANGERS OF NOT GETTING THESE REPLACED AND IT IS VERY SCARY. WHEN WILL THIS BE TAKEN CARE OF IN MY VEHICLE.......CAN YOU DELIVER ME AN ANSWER?
