Our vehicle has yet another active recall, without a remedy. The vehicle is “unsafe in event of a crash in the third row”. I specifically bought this vehicle because I have children and need the third row. We spent 40 days with a rental vehicle in December because of a recall with a seat belt that had no remedy and are again having to request a rental. Hyundai is denying our claim for a buyback because of this new issue, which is unacceptable. This vehicle is unsafe. Hyundai cannot fix it. There needs to be a buyback.

I was driving on the highway at about 65-70 MPH and the sunroof spontaneously shattered. It sounded like an explosion. No object hit the car. We were in Nevada and the outside temp was in the mid 60s. The inside air conditioning was set at 69. We pulled over to inspect and take a picture. I have read about numerous complaints of this happening going back to the 2021 models and as recently as the 2024 models. We had the shade closed, but if it were open glass could have sprayed all over the car and into my passengers eyes, faces, etc. It is scary and dangerous.

I was driving my 2023 Hyundai Palisade at 75 mph on I25 in Northern Colorado when I heard a terribly loud noise like an explosion above my head. I jerked but kept control of the car. My immediate thought was that something dropped on my roof but I wasn't under an overpass. Frantically looking in all directions, I saw something dark flying in the air towards the side of the road. At the same time, motorcycles traveling behind me were moving out of my lane. I pulled over and found my Sunroof had instantaneously exploded outwards. There were bits of glass everywhere. It was certainly a startling driver safety issue that caused me to jerk the wheel. At highway speeds, it is fortunate that I didn't lose control or roll my vehicle. If the inside sunroof cover had been open as it is most of the time, bits of glass would have exploded all over the inside of the car showering the driver and passengers, including their faces and eyes. It was a terribly dangerous situation. I immediately reported it to my dealer who would not even look at the car. The dealer said they don't deal with glass. They recommended a glass installer, Anders Glass. Anders didn't deal with sunroofs. They sent me to NOVUS Glass who inspected, sealed up, then ordered and replaced the unit with a used sunroof. The problem couldn't be reproduced because the sunroof was shattered. There are no glass warning lights. No other warning lights, messages or symptoms appeared before or after the sunroof spontaneously exploded outward.

I was driving down a 4 lane highway at 70mph with no landscaping, cars or trucks around me what so ever and my sunroof imploded on me. Luckily my sunshade was closed. The glass was domed outwards like pressure from inside the cabin pushed it out and shattered into tiny pieces. Hyundai is aware of this issue but is not willing to cover it under warranty. My vehicle isn't even 3 years old and has less than 30,000 miles on it. I bought this vehicle due to all the great reviews about the warranty, well now that I need something fixed under warranty, they are not willing to help me out.

The way this vehicle is designed, the angle of the lower screen that controls the ac is at the perfect angle to blind its drivers at times of sunset and sunrise and even some times between the two. This can happen no matter which cardinal direction you are traveling. I am blinded on a curvy road I drive every day to pick up my child to school. Its to the point where I have to completely cover the lower controls due to this reflective blinding.

My Ongoing Car Leak Issue Ongoing issues in my vehicle’s moon roof. •Late September 2024: I first noticed water leaks in the front and rear of the moon roof. •[XXX]: Took to Wilson County Hyundai. They claimed to find no leaks. •[XXX]: The leak was evident again. I took it back; they acknowledged a factory defect in a drain tube and claimed to have repaired it. •[XXX]: I took it to a different dealership “Hickory Hollow Hyundai”, They were unable to replicate the leak. They suggested I record a video of it during the next rain event. So I did on [XXX]. See: [XXX] •December 11th: Frustrated with the lack of progress, I filed a formal complaint with Hyundai Customer Service, receiving case number #[XXX]. Hickory Hollow Hyundai then then told me to bring the car back in for repairs. As of Jan 16th: •Hyundai of Hickory Hollow said it was fixed and allowed me to come pick up the vehicle. They also said they had tested it thoroughly and there is no longer a leak. I brought the vehicle home and waited for the next rain so I could see for myself. As of January 27: •It rained less than .25 inches last night, but when I drove the vehicle this morning it leaked in both the front and rear. I did make a video of the leak, which is at: [XXX] As of February 1: •It has been 115 days since I first took the vehicle in for a leak repair. •There have been four (4) repair attempts and more leakage. •This has caused a very dangerous situation for my family. Hyundai has virtually done nothing that corrected the problem. Nor have they responded to my requests for a resolution. •I have full documentation on all the above. I was driving down the roadway and heard a loud noise that sounded like an impact followed by the sound of glass cracking. The panoramic sunroof suddenly shattered. I was confused because I had not gone under an over pass and there were no trucks in front of me to launch a rock in my direction. I thought maybe something had fallen out of the sky from an airplane or something. It was very frightening!

Leased vehicle in September 2022. In December 2022 Apple Car Play stopped functioning. This was a safety issue as when driving to a destination all of a sudden it stopped working so the GPS directions stopped and the calls would not come through either over the Bluetooth so we had to fumble with the phone. Also when this would happen the car’s NAVI system would not work or even load. Numerous visits to the dealer in 2023 and they were never able to figure out the issue. They changed the radio unit and it would work for a while and stop again. In January 2024 it worked for about 3 months then stopped again in April 2024. Over the last month the car’s NAVI system has stopped working completely and today the car would not start. AAA came over and the battery is dead and they suspect there is an electrical problem draining the battery as usually batteries last 3-4 years. As I explained numerous times to the dealership in 2023 this is a safety issue where many times my wife who mostly drives the vehicle with our kids would be driving using the Apple car play which would then disconnect as well as the Bluetooth voice for calls and sometimes could not on side of the road. We will be towing the car to the dealership and ask them to replace the battery but diagnose all electronics as if this not fix once and for all it will drain the battery again. We need a resolution to this safety problem.

I received a recall almost a year ago. Immediately contacted a Hyundai dealership who kept me on hold for an hour and said they couldn’t fix it or don’t know when someone would be able to. They got my number down and were supposed to call me and never did. I then took my car to the Hyundai dealership in Killeen to get the recall fixed and they said they didn’t have the part and couldn’t help me at this time. No one from either dealership has still contacted me!!

Hazy film on second row window blinds you when pulling out almost got hit twice because of the sun glaring on the hazy blurry window. The dealer ship is aware of this and said they need to be replace but Hyundai said it was made that way. this is the first year for these kind of windows they are dangerous when trying to see out. When you ride in second row it hurts your eyes because they are so hazy especially on a sunny day everything looks blurry. Needs to be a recall before lot of people has bad wreck and some one loses their life the rest of the windows aren't laminated "if these are really laminated like they say" shouldn't be a problem to exchange them out.

When put in snow mode, there is a loss of power or failure for the car to accelerate at all. You can put the accelerator to the floor, and the car will not move forward. You basically can not drive in traffic. I had to pull over multiple times to the shoulder, because the car would not accelerate at all. I could not even get to the shoulder, because the car would not drive. Almost caused multiple accidents as the car stops without warning. It happens without any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms. It is not because the car is in snow and trying to not spin tires or get stuck. You can try to very gently accelerate and it still won't go. You can push harder on the gas, still won't go. It is like it stalls but the car is still running. Just all of a sudden will not accelerate. I took a video of it occuring and gave that to the dealership. I took the car to the dealership as it was new, and they could not "replicate the problem." We no longer used the snow mode after that incident. Now, approximately a year later, we had a winter storm, so attempted to use the snow mode and it happened again this week. Attempting to turn into oncoming traffic and the car stalled out, almost causing a collision. I have read online this is happening to multiple people and other people have contacted NHTSA. The dealerships can't "replicate" the issue, so no one is getting help. This is a serious safety issue that will cause a collision or worse, if it has not already. A recall and safety update to the system is needed for cars experiencing this failure!

2023 palisade is stalling out. Happened three times in the last six months, I’m slowly driving around 20mph and then it decides it doesn’t want to accelerate. The car is still running, but the engine won’t rev or move, no rpm increase with pumping the pedal, the engine is silent, and I just hang out at 20 mph (pedal to the floor and all). It has moments of movement (gets up a few more mph) then stops accelerating again. Lasts for about 30 seconds then is back to normal. I’ve looking through the other post about people’s vehicles shutting off, but mine isn’t turning off completely, just freezing up.

While the car was in motion all the warning lights started going off for Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Warning, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assistance, Parking Collision Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Warning saying that they weren’t working and then the power steering turned off all the dash lights came on like the check engine, the oil light, battery, Car lock, Abs, Traction on and off, Tire pressure etc. then the engine turned off and would not start again.

The second all glass sunroof combusted in the center while driving. It sounded like a tire blowing out, really loud burst. No warning. I had the front window closed but the shade slide open. The second shade slide was closed, thankfully, otherwise it would have shattered glass everywhere inside the car.

This is the third occurrence since we bought the car new in August of '23. The car will lock all of its doors and we won't be able to get inside. Once we manage to get inside the dash will not display. We can not turn anything on except for the dome lights (which indicate the battery has power, thus not the problem). We have tried jump starting the car on our own with no luck. The first trip to the repair shop, the technician said it was a "multi-fuse" that needed replaced. The second time (after the exact same symptoms and failed home jump start attempts) the technician said that wasn't the case and that they didn't know what caused it. And that we would need to wait for it to happen again and hopefully they could catch it if something did happen.. Well, it happened again. Exact same symptoms. We have young children in car seats and we live in a cold climate. If it is 0 degrees out and it happened again and they were in the car it would be a terrible, fatal thing! We buy new to avoid problems and things like this.

A few weeks ago, I made an appointment to address the recent safety recall concerning the transmission electric oil pump (campaign 246 / NHTSA recall number 23V-526.) For added clarity – the dealer identified the vehicle, saw that it was part of the recall and scheduled me for an appointment to correct this important safety matter. Today I took the day off from work and this morning I showed up for my appointment 30 minutes early. I surrendered my vehicle and sat at the waiting area. After spending over two hours at the service center, I was informed that they do not have the part(s) needed to complete this recall and that they have only today ordered it. Moreover, in talking to the advisor, he seemed perplexed at my disappointment, claiming that this is their standard operating procedure. Again, I would like to highlight the fact that I lost a day of work. I would now lose an additional day of work once the part(s) is/are in. Per Hyundai’s recall language, this is a serious and somewhat dangerous matter. Lastly, I would think that if the part is not in stock, the service center should have contacted me in advance to delay the appointment. Even if that was not done, it should not take over two hours to discover that the part is missing – a few seconds, yes. Hours NO. I am sorry for the tone – however, I am beyond disappointed.

I have recently received a recall notice from Hyundai USA, stating that my 2023 Hyundai Palisade needs an immediate fix for transmission electric oil pump to avoid potential fire risk. It suggested that I should immediately reach out to the nearest dealer for a part replacement. However, I searched several dealer locations in WA and they do not have any availability within the next 60 days. The closest date I can see now available is at Dec. 11th., which is 3 months away. This is causing long-lasting concerns.

While driving my two young daughters to school this morning I heard a loud bang which resembled to that of a gunshot as I was driving on my own on the freeway at about 60 mph. I looked around and saw no nearby accidents or even vehicles within a 5 mile radius. Shortly after I could hear a lot of wind noise inside my vehicle, sure enough my panoramic sunroof imploded. This poses a huge safety concern as it had no impact and was of no fault my own. I hate to think about what would’ve happened had the door to the sunroof been open while it imploded, my children would have been greatly injured.
