I have owned this vehicle for over ten years and now there is paint delamination on the hood and roof of the vehicle which is a manufacture defect.
The contact owns a 2012 Nissan Altima. The contact stated while starting the vehicle, he noticed that the dashboard was shiny and was melting in a small area. The failure expanded to cover the entire dashboard causing visibility issues while driving. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer; however, the mechanic declined to diagnose the failure without a diagnostic fee being paid. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.
The hood latch is defective and the hood can not close properly.
While driving at 70mph on interstate the hood flew open with no known explanation as to why as hood had not been opened by anyone in the last 120 days prior to incident. This caused hood to snap back, strike and smash windshield and significantly dent roof of car in front of moonroof.

THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 84,000.

COLONIAL DR, ORLANDO, FL 32817, WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE BUT PROVIDED NO ADDITIONAL ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 40,000.

MY DASHBOARD APPEARS TO BE MELTING AND IS STICKY TO THE TOUCH. I HAVE CONTACTED NISSAN THEY SHOW NO CONCERN AS TO THE DASH BOARD MELTING OR ANY RESOLVE TO REMEDY THE ISSUE. IT CAUSES A BAD GLARE ESPECIALLY WHEN DRIVING INTO THE SUNLIGHT. I FEEL THIS IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT IN MATERIALS.
ALL 4 OF MY DOOR ACTUATORS ARE SUDDENLY NOT WORKING. THIS IS SAFETY HAZARD. NISSAN NEEDS TO LOOK INTO THIS ISSUE WITH A POSSIBLE RECALL. ALL 4 SHOULD NOT GO BAD AT ONCE.

THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND A CASE WAS OPENED. THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE BACK TO VIDALIA NISSAN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE PICTURES OF THE DASHBOARD WERE TAKEN TO PROVIDE TO THE PERSON WHO WAS ASSISTING WITH THE CASE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AGREED TO PAY FIFTY PERCENT OF THE REPAIR COST. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,071.
THE BACK DOORS OF THESE CARS ARE TAKING IN WATER WHEN IT RAINS OR WHEN YOU GO TO CAR WASH.. AS YOU DRIVE YOU COULD HEAR THE WATER SLOSHING IN THE DOORS. YOU HAVE TO ACTUALLY OPEN THE DOOR AND USE YOUR HANDS BY PICKING THE RUBBER AT THE BOTTOM OF THE DOORS TO LET THE WATER OUT. THEN IT GUSHES OUT LIKE AN OPEN FAUCET.
FLOOR BOARDS ON BOTH DRIVER AND PASSAGE SIDE ARE VERY SOFT .

THE CONTACT HAD TO SHAKE THE DOORS IN ORDER TO GET THE WATER OUT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE SEALS TO THE DOOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO THE PART NOT BEING AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000.

I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE LISTED ON 9/23/14. I RECENTLY FOUND OUT AFTER GETTING A CARFAX REPORT THAT THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN FLIPPED WHILE IN LA. I AM TRYING TO FIND OUT IF THE TITLE FOR THE CAR HAS BEEN A "REBUILT TITLE OR "SALVAGED TITLE" AND CAN'T SEEN TO GET ANYMORE. HELP PLEASE! *TR
THE HOOD RELEASE ON THESE CARS IS DOWN UNDER THE DASH, WHERE IT CAN EASILY BE PULLED WITH THE TOE OF YOUR SHOE. IT HAS HAPPENED BEFORE, BUT MY WIFE WAS OUTSIDE OF THE CAR AND HEARD IT POP. THIS DAY, WE WERE ON OUR WAY HOME FROM CHURCH. MADE IT ALL THE WAY ONTO THE HIGHWAY AND REACHED 70 MPH, SPEED LIMIT ON THAT HIGHWAY IS 75 MPH. THE HOOD FLEW UP, DAMAGING THE WINDSHIELD, ROOF, HOOD, FENDERS AND HOOD HINGES. THIS IS VERY DISTURBING THAT THE 2013'S ARE BEING RECALLED WHEN THE DESIGN IS THE SAME FROM 2012 TO 2014 THAT I AM AWARE OF. WE HAVE BEEN WARNING OTHER DRIVERS OF THIS DANGER. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING FOR 30 YEARS AND HAVE EMERGENCY VEHICLE TO 18 WHEELER TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE. NOT EVERYONE WILL BE SO LUCKY. *TR
THE PAINT ON THE HOOD CAME OFF IN A CHUNK, DURING A CAR WASH. IT AS REPORTED TO THE DEALER AND NISSAN DIRECTLY. AFTER THEY GAVE ME THE RUNAROUND FOR 6+ MONTHS, NISSAN SAID IT WAS NOT THEIR PROBLEM, THAT IT WAS AN ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUE. I HAVE SINCE HAD THE CAR REPAIRED. THE HOOD NEEDED TO BE TAKEN DOWN TO BARE METAL, AND REPAINTED. THE COST WAS OVER $500.00. NOW THE ROOF IS DOING THE SAME AS THE HOOD.I AM NOT A HAPPY NISSAN OWNER. *TR
