I am having the same issues as other recalled Armadas with the battery not charging due to smart alternator however my vehicle was not included in the recall. I have had multiple incidents over the years where my car would not start back. Not only is it an inconvenience, but also a safety concern for my daughter and I.

Vehicle had the battery replaced 11months ago, after it was replaced by the dealer prior to purchasing. Starting having starting issues again, which is what led to the initial battery replacement. Had a diagnostic done to figure out where the patristic draw was coming from to learn that Nissan issued a memo/bulletin in 2019 for this exact issue (Body Control Module) causing an intermittent parasitic draw and killing the battery. An update is known and needed to resolve. Why has this not been a recall? Why do I have to pay to have this completed when Nissan knows it is an issue!?

Car intermittent problems with not starting. Believe it has to do with smart alternator not charging cause of short distance driving and not getting full charge so it runs down the battery.

In June 2022, my wife and children were stranded at a state forest, with no one around to assist, due to the vehicle not starting. My wife explained the vehicle symptoms and I expected it to be a battery or key fob issue, so I left work, grabbed the spare fob and jumper cables and headed to their location. First I tried to start it with the spare fob but that did not work, so I jumped battery and the vehicle started right up. We took the vehicle to a Nissan dealership to have it looked at, thinking it was an issue with the charging system. After the dealership looked at it, they came to the conclusion that the battery was bad and also the vehicle was pulling too much power from the battery. The battery was replaced under warranty on June 10, 2022. Almost exactly 2 years later, June 13, 2024, the same incident occurred. My wife and children were stranded yet again, at a gas station. This time someone was able to assist, they jumped the battery, it started right up. I immediately contacted the same dealership, and took it there the following morning. This time the battery tested good, but said the vehicle is pulling to much power from the battery causing it to drain. They recommended having the battery saver settings changed in BCM and modify the smart charge system. They also stated that this is becoming a known issue with this vehicle model and has been having several others in with this same issue.

Almost new battery, it checked out okay; Alternator appears to be providing proper Voltage and Current. Issue is excessive drain and once the temperature drops the Car/Suv will not start and needs a jump start and then on all great. To me issue appears to be battery drain more then expected. We will do further diagnosis on component level and see which one is draining more than expected.

I have had this vehicle for a little over 2 years and within the past 18 months, I have had to replace my battery 4 times. I took my vehicle to a Nissan dealer and was told that it was my bluetooth, my radio, and other non-related things that is draining the battery. I finally took it to a mom and pop mechanic and was told that it was my Anti-theft system that was draining the battery, and if I wanted him to replace it, there was a chance the car would never start again. There is clearly a problem with the Armada's electrical system, and Nissan should definitely address it!

Repeated issue of car randomly not starting. Ironically was at dealer on 4/11/22. I was told that car wasn't giving error of an issue. Today on 4/12/22 car would not start in the am when I was leaving for work. Jump started it and drove to work. Got off work, stopped at gas station and car would not start when I attempted to leave gas station. Had to get jump in order to drive it home. This is absolutely ridiculous and annoying for me to have this repeated issue while only having the car for 1 1/2 years. What is even more frustrating is that Nissan has yet to diagnose/fix the issue. They are very much aware that it's a wide spread issue as multiple complaints from multiple people have been made.

Have had several issues with the battery draining when nothing is on. Over the 2.5 years since I've owned the vehicle, this has been a constant problem. The vehicle has been to the dealership on several occasions and I was told that a wire from the computer to the electrical system was causing the problem. The dealer also told me they had to call Nissan Headquarters to try to troubleshoot the problem. There are several forums online discussing how everyone knows this is a known problem with the Armada, but nothing is being done. Went to buy a new battery today because it would not start or jumped, but was told the battery was actually good.

Randomly will not start after normal use. Just purchased in Nov 2020. Started having non start issue by April 2021. Returned to dealer who states brake sensor needs to be replaced but want to charge hundreds of dollars. It is clearly a Nissan issue as many others report the same issue. Literally can work fine, drive to work and will not start after my standard 8 hour shift! SUV will only start after getting a jump start. Issue will randomly occur again in a few days, weeks, or months. Car cost too much to experience this issue that Nissan wants the consumer to pay for when it is clearly a defect.

Despite two new batteries, within 10 months, I have been stranded several times when the car would not start. I checked with my local mechanic and the alternator is working correctly, but apparently there is a sensor that only works the alternator when doing non-city driving. I checked with Nissan today and even though this is clearly a defect, they charge $400 to disable the faulty sensor and do not consider it a design flaw

The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Armada. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start up. The contact mentioned that the vehicle needed a jump start before operating as designed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the brake switch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer three more times and the dealer diagnosed that Electrical Control Unit (ECU) needed to be repaired. The second time the dealer diagnosed that the ECU, brake switch, and battery needed to be replaced. The last time the dealer diagnosed that the alternator module needed to be reprogrammed. The vehicle was repaired each time, but the failure continued. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.

2019 NISSAN WAS PURCHASED AUG 2020 FROM VALLEJO NISSAN(CA). OCTOBER 20' THE ARMADA WOULDN'T START, I TOOK IT TO THE TRACY NISSAN DEALERSHIP AS I HAVE THE NISSAN PLUS EXTENDED WARRANTY. TECH SAID IT WAS THE BATTERY WHICH WAS NOT COVERED. I PURCHASED A NEW BATTERY WITH MAX CRANKING AMPS. JAN 28, 2021 I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO DEALERSHIP AS IT FAILED TO START AGAIN(#2). NISSAN TECH SAID THE NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CABLE WAS LOOSE. FEB 3, 2021 I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO TRACY NISSAN AS IT FAILED TO START (#3). NISSAN TECH REPLACED THE STOP LAMP SWITCH WHICH HE STATED WAS THE REASON WHY THE ARMADA WOULDN'T START. FEB 20TH, ARMADA AGAIN WOULD NOT START (#4). TOOK IT TO DEALER FEB 22ND AND WAS TOLD A FEW DAYS LATER(FEB 27TH) THAT A NISSAN REGIONAL TECHNICIAN WAS CONTACTED AND THEY HAD TO UPDATE THE "RAPID CHARGE" SYSTEM IN THE ARMADA AND THEY WERE "PRETTY SURE" THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN REPAIRED. MY WIFE ARRIVED AT NISSAN ON FEB 27TH AND ARMADA AGAIN, WOULD NOT START(#5). THIS WAS WHILE IT WAS STILL IN THE NISSAN DEALER LOT. MARCH 1ST I WAS CONTACTED BY NISSAN TECH WHO STATED MY BATTERY HAS LOW CRANKING AMPS DUE TO THE UPDATE THEY HAD TO DO TO THE RAPID CHARGE SYSTEM AND ASKED ME TO REPLACE THE BATTERY...AGAIN! FOUR OF THE FIVE TIMES THE VEHICLE WOULDN'T START IT WAS PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY, THE FIFTH TIME IT WAS PARKED AT THE DEALERSHIP.

2019 ARMADA WITH JUST OVER 5000 MILES. DEAD BATTERY TOWED OR JUMPED 5 TIMES. RECALL SWITCH REPLACED. THE PROBLEM STILL CONTINUES. SEEMS LIKE A DEAD BATTERY JUST 15 MINUTES AFTER SHUTTING OFF . WE CALLED BUT WRECKER WAS A PROBLEM SO WE USED A JUMP START. BATTERY IS SUPPOSE TO BE A BRAND NEW ONE DEALER SAID WHEN WE DROVE AND DROPPED OFF AT DEALERSHIP THIS A.M. HAVE NO IDEA HOW IT COULD JUST BE THE BATTERY. IT SHOWS IT'S CHARGED ONCE STARTED. WE LIVE IN A RURAL AREA AND OF COURSE LIKE ANYONE WE NEED A DEPENDABLE CAR. SEEING OTHERS HAVING SUCH PROBLEMS TELLS US NISSAN MAY BE A CAR WE RETURN AS A LEMON. EACH TIME CELL SERVICE HAS BEEN VERY LIMITED. TEXTING WORKED SO I COULD GET MY HUSBAND A TOW TRUCK. NISSAN HAS OUR RECORD WE WILL OBTAIN AND KEEP. LAST NIGHT ALL LIGHTS ETC. WE'RE OPERATING JUST NO START OR ATTEMPT TO START WITH IGNITION. THEN IN A FEW MINUTES ALL WAS DEAD. DOOR WOULD NOT EVEN UNLOCK TO LET US IN AFTER GETTING JUMPER CABLES BUT AFTER A FEW MINUTES AND REPEATED ATTEMPTS IT UNLOCKED.
