The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed over a bump in the roadway, the vehicle shuddered and swayed to one side and made an abnormal clunking sound. The vehicle was pulled over into a parking lot and parked. A neighbor inspected the vehicle and informed the contact that the passenger’s side rear wheel needed to be aligned and that the rear trailing arm needed to be replaced. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who determined that the subframe was corroded and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 98,000.
Hatch hydraulic lift failed and trunk slammed on me. I also believe the hood latch might be a safety concern due to the hood wiggling like it doesn’t want to stay shut and shaking when on highway
There is water leak on Driver side floor and is covered under Nissan Service Bulletin NTB14-105a. The carpet is wet on the driver and/or front passenger floor and the source of the wetness is not caused by the air conditioning system.
My vehicle has a sun/moon roof. There are 2 drains that go down the side. The problem is there is a white piece of plastic that has plastic in the center at the bottom of the drain. If this gets clogged it causes the moon roof to leak water all over the interior. When this happened to me I was driving water and fell into my face and eyes. This was very unsafe. To fix the issue I used pliers to remove the inner plastic from the white plastic at the bottom of the drain. This should be recalled because there is no benefit to this center plastic. After water leaves the drain it goes out a 3 inch by 3 inch hole cut into the metal, then falls to the ground. There is no benefit restricting water out these drains. This will cause the sunroof to clog over and over again. This white piece of plastic should be replaced with a part that has no restrictions. This is poor design on Nissan's part. A clogged sun roof can cause water to fall into the drivers face, and it could ruin the interior.
The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that the rear liftgate supports were corroded, requiring the use of excessive force to open the liftgate. Additionally, the liftgate failed to remain opened while in use, and would forcefully close independently when unattended. The contact had taken the vehicle to a dealer where she was informed that there were no recalls on her vehicle. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure, and the contact was given a case number. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.
Hatchback lift shocks are corroded and do not work. Hatchback door is heavy to lift manually and I am afraid I will get hurt. I believe there's a recall on the hatchback lift shocks.
Rear power liftgate opens and drops halfway on my head. This is not a one time problem. It's a defective liftgate issue where it opens to the top and then drops halfway every time the liftgate opens.
Rear lift gate falls, will not stay up on its own. Appears to be a 2016 recall on other models of the same year that did not include my vin, however I am having the same issue of the lift gate falling on my head.
I have had to repair the rear window for leaking water through 2x. It is still a factory window but significant amounts of water was leaking. I had it repaired 2x, re-glued. But it is similar to the recall for the side door for the rogue. The water leaking caused electrical problems (doors lock/unlock on own, etc) but must've stopped once it was dry. The date listed is for the last repair but was repaired a few years prior also.
The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked, she pulled the driver’s side door handle and the handle fractured. The contact then had to enter the vehicle through the passenger’s side door. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 107,281.
The hydraulics (?) in my manual lift gate suddenly failed. The hatchback slammed shut, and I barely ducked away in time. I was shaking.I thank God that my grandchildren weren’t the one retrieving an item. They could have been killed or paralyzed. I saw that Nissan recalled the Rogue for tailgate problems, but was told my vehicle wasn’t covered. (Nissan Case #44796538). This defect means no one can use my cargo space without risking life and limb. This happened approximately the first week in September. No warnings. Anyone is welcome to inspect my car. In my decades of car ownership, I have never had this happen on any vehicle. Scary.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 NISSAN ROGUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT MOISTURE HAD BEEN ENTERING THE VEHICLE, CAUSING THE DRIVER'S SIDE FLOOR MAT TO REMAIN SATURATED WITH WATER. THE CONTACT HAD TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO BYERLY NISSAN (4027 DIXIE HWY, LOUISVILLE, KY 40216) WHERE THEY HAD INSPECTED THE VEHICLE ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS HOWEVER, THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT YET DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND THEY INFORMED HER THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT BE REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE REMAINED IN THE POSSESSION OF THE DEALER UNREPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. THE VIN WAS INVALID.
DUE TO COVID, WORKING FROM HOME, SHOPPING SOLELY ONLINE AND HAVE VIRTUAL MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS. RARELY USE CAR AND IT SAT UNDRIVEN FOR WEEKS. WATER ACCUMULATING IN MOONROOF DRAIN CAUSED HAZARDOUS MOLD ISSUE IN CAR INTERIOR. WAS NOT WARNED AND DEALER DID NOT APPARENTLY CHECK DRAINS. HAVE BREATHING ISSUES AND MOLD IS A HEALTH ISSUE. I BELIEVE THIS IS A DESIGN FLAW AND HEALTH HAZARD. AT MINIMUM BUYERS SHOULD BE WARNED THIS CAN HAPPEN. IT IS NOWHERE IN OWNERS OR SERVICE MANUALS. REPAIR IS APPROX 1/3 PRICE OF A NEW CAR. INSURANCE DOES NOT COVER. CHECK DRAINS DURING ROUTINE MAINTENANCE VISITS.
THE HOOD LATCHES IN THE LOCK BUT IS SHAKES REALLY BAD WHILE DRIVING ESPECIALLY WHILE ON I-10 HIGHWAY IT SEEMS AS IF IT CATCHES ONE GOOD WIND IT WILL COME OUT AND SHATTER MY WINDSHIELD!
ON THE TRUNK DOOR, THERE IS RUSTING, ESPECIALLY AROUND THE NISSAN EMBLEM. ON THE TOP OF THE TRUNK DOOR, ON THE SPOILER, THERE IS A LOT OF RUSTING AND SCRATCHES STARTED TO APPEAR OUT OF NOWHERE, SOME OF THEM ARE VERY SMALL AND BETTER NOTICED WHEN LOOKING CLOSELY OR ZOOMING IN ON A PHOTO. SURFACE FEELS ROUGH. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN TAKEN TO ANY CAR WASH PLACES. THE SCRATCHES AND RUSTING SEEM TO ONLY APPEAR AT THIS SPOT. MY OTHER VEHICLES, INCLUDING ANOTHER NISSAN, HAVE ALL BEEN TAKEN CARE THE SAME WAY AND THEY DO NOT HAVE THIS TYPE OF RUSTING. THE RUSTING WAS FIRST NOTICED IN LATE SPRING DURING COVID-19 QUARANTINE WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DRIVEN MUCH, AND IT APPEARS TO HAVE GOTTEN WORSE SINCE THEN. NISSAN CALLED THIS A "COLOR DISTORTION", WHICH I DO NOT BELIEVE IT IS SINCE THE SURFACE FEELS ROUGH. I TALKED TO A COLOR SPECIALIST AND HE IS CERTAIN THAT IT WAS A MANUFACTURING ISSUE. I ALSO DID RESEARCH ABOUT OTHER NISSAN OWNERS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE, AND IT SEEMS TO BE COMMON. A VEHICLE SHOULD NOT START RUSTING LIKE THIS ONLY 5 YEARS IN USE.
REAR HATCH DOOR WONT CLOSE/LOCK
TAILGATE CORROSION WHEN VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN A COVERED GARAGE. AUTOMATIC REAR HATCH NO LONGER OPERATES/WORKS.
WHILE DRIVING ON I94 IN WISCONSIN MY SUNROOF EXPLODED. I WASN'T BEHIND ANY TRUCKS AND I DIDN'T GO UNDER ANY BRIDGE. I HEARD I HUGE BANG AND WHEN I LOOKED UP MY SUNROOF WAS IN MILLIONS OF TINY BITS. WHEN I PRESSED ON IT, CAUSE I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED, THE GLASS CAME FALLING DOWN ON ME AND ALL OVER MY CAR.
NO INCIDENT YET BUT THE FRONT HOOD IS BEGINNING TO CORRODE AND THE CORROSION IS CREEPING UP ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE HOOD. WE HAVE CONTACTED NISSAN WITHOUT SUCCESS. THERE HAS BEEN NO RESOLUTION.
BUMPERS ARE NOT SECURE. THEY USE A PLASTIC SHIELDING THAT DO NOT PROPERLY PROTECT AGAINST BAD ACCIDENTS. MOST VEHICLES BARELY HAVE PROTECTIVE BUMPERS, PUTTING PEOPLE'S LIVES AT RISK. EVERY YEAR, NEW MODELS BRING LESS FRONT AND REAR ACCIDENT IMPACT PROTECTION. IT IS A GOOD DEAL FOR MANUFACTURERS AND INSURANCE COMPANIES, BUT NOT FOR CUSTOMERS. ON JANUARY 2017, I SUFFERED AN ACCIDENT WHERE MY FRONT "BUMPER" NEEDED TO BE FIXED, BUT MY DEALERSHIP CHARGED ME FOR ABOUT $5,500.00TO REPLACE A "PROTECTIVE PLASTIC SHIELDING" AND THE COMPRESSOR. NOW MI INSURANCE COMPANIES ARE CHARGING ME A LOT TO RENEW MY POLICIES. *TT *TR
MY ROOF RACK ON MY 2015 NISSAN ROGUE IS FALLING APART. WENT TO A FORUM AND FOUND A LOT OF COMPLAINTS. IT IS ONLY THREE YEARS OLD THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING.
DURING RAIN OR DRIVING THROUGH CAR WASH WATER ENTERS THE INTERIOR OF VEHICLE THROUGH DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW,PASSENGER WINDOW OR BACK HATCH. *TR
