My 2016 Nissan Rogue began jerking on our way home from vacation. It was shaking and and jerking we got so scared it kept bumping us and jerking us we actually had to pull over off the freeway luckily we were near an O' reily's they told us it was the cvt transmission we ended up calling a tow truck to get us as we were soo scared to keep driving.

A/C DOES NOT WORK. THERE IS A ROARING SOUND WHEN THE FAN IS ON "HIGH" BUT LITTLE TO NO AIR IS BLOWING. WHAT LITTLE AIR COMES OUT IS HOT. THE TEMPERATURE IS SET TO 60 DEGREES AND STILL HOT AIR BLOWS. THIS IS MY SECOND SUMMER TO BE WITHOUT ANY AIR CONDITIONER. YOU MAY ACCIDENTALLY GET A FEW MINTUES OF COLD AIR FIRST THING IN THE MORNING BEFORE THE ENGINE GETS HOT AND THEN IT'S GONE. IN THE AFTERNOON YOU DO NOT GET ANY COLD AIR. I SEE MULTIPLE SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ON MANY WEBSITES. WHEN IS THE NHTSA GOING TO TAKE ACTION AGAINST NISSAN?

BAD AC/HEATER CONTROL. KNOWN ISSUE, NISSAN SERVICE BULLETIN #NTB15-045E I PURCHASED A CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED 2016 NISSAN ROGUE IN 2017 IS NOW WINTER AND THE HEATER HAS FAILED. I TOOK IN IN FOR OIL CHANGE AND BRAKE WORK, BUT WHEN I GOT IT BACK THE HEATER WASN'T WORKING AND THE DEALERSHIP DOESN'T HAVE ANY CLUE WHY. THEY HAVE REPLACE THE CONTROL SENOR BUT THAT DIDN'T HELP. THEY ARE NOW CLAIMING IT'S THE HOSES/RADIATOR AND SOME OTHER STUFF. MY HEATER FAILING, AND NOT ABLE TO DEFROST/DEFOG MY WINDSHIELD MEANS THAT I CAN'T SEE, AND IF I GET STUCK ON THE ROAD I HAVE TO HEAT TO STAY WARM AND ALIVE (I TRAVEL FOR WORK AND CAN BE ANYWHERE IN THE UNITED STATE). THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE WITH THIS ISSUE FOR THIS YEAR AND MODEL AND EVEN THOUGH NISSAN KNOWS ABOUT IT, THEY HAVE NOT MADE A RECALL ON IT.

THE HEATER WENT OUT ON MY ROGUE ON A VERY COLD MORNING. IT WOULD ONLY BLOW COLD AIR. THIS WAS PROBLEMATIC BECAUSE OF THE SAFETY ISSUE IN DEFROSTING MY WINDOWS. I HAVE TO DRIVE FOR WORK EVERY MORNING. THIS GREATLY CONCERNS MEAN FOR THE SAFETY OF MY WIFE AND 3 MONTHS DAUGHTER. ACCORDING TO RESEARCH ONLINE, THIS IS COMMON PROBLEM, BUT NO SAFETY RECALL HAS OCCURRED YET. ONE WEBSITE STATES THAT, NISSAN RELEASED SEVERAL TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETINS FOR IMPROPER HEATING/VENTILATION PERFORMANCE, INCLUDING INCORRECT TEMPERATURE OUTPUT AND/OR AIR DELIVERY LOCATION FOR NISSAN ROGUES FROM 2015-17 THE MOST RECENT ' #NTB17-028 AND NTB15-045E, ' INDICATES CERTAIN VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH THE MANUAL HVAC SYSTEM MIGHT BENEFIT FROM REPLACEMENT OF THE 'FRONT AIR CONTROL UNIT.'

I RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2016 NISSAN ROGUE S AWD WITH ABOUT 30,034 MILES ON IT. THE NEXT DAY AFTER DRIVING ABOUT 75 MILES IT STARTED JERKING AND STALLING IN TRAFFIC, AND HAVING ISSUES GOING FROM PARK TO DRIVE AND DRIVE TO REVERSE. ON THE DAY AFTER, WHICH IS TODAY THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT SHIFT FROM PARK TO DRIVE AND INSTEAD OF DRIVING FORWARD WHILE IN DRIVE, THE VEHICLE STARTED TO ROLL BACKWARDS ON OUR SIDE WALK WITH MY 6 YEAR OLD SON AND I INSIDE. MY FIANC AND I ATTEMPTED TO GET THE VEHICLE TO SHIFT GEARS AND WE WERE NOT SUCCESSFUL. IT SEEMS AS IF THE CVT TRANSMISSION FAILED. I IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY CAME TO PICK IT UP VIA TOW.

THE CAR HAS IDLING ISSUES AND ISSUES WITH HARD VIBRATIONS IN THE FRONT AREA OF THE VEHICLE. THE RPM'S WERE ADJUSTED BUT THIS DID NOT FIX THE ISSUE AND I WAS TOLD IT IS THE WAY THE MOTOR SITS EVEN THOUGH IT WAS NOT HAVING THIS ISSUE WHEN I FIRST PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN MARCH OF 2018. IT DOES NOT MATTER IF THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY OR MOVING OR IF I AM TURNING OR WHERE I AM DRIVING. THIS ISSUE PERSISTS.

CAR ONLY HAS 63,000 MILES ON IT AND THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD AND SENSOR IN MY CAR WENT OUT AND MY CAR WAS PROPERLY MAINTENANCE LIKE IT SUPPOSE TOO. BUT BEFORE THEN A SENSOR WENT OUT ON MY CAR , I NEVER HEARD OF A MANIFOLD GOING OUT EARLY ON ANY VEHICLE FROM ANY MAKER NOT THIS EARLY AND I FELT WHEN I BOUGHT THIS CAR IT WAS ALREADY DEFECTED. IN GOOD FAITH, I WOULD THINK THE DEALER WOULD HAVE CHECK IT OUT BEFORE I BOUGHT IT, APPARENTLY NOT. I BOUGHT THIS CAR ON NOVEMBER 11 AND NOW I'M EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS !

ON THE MORNING OF 6/11/2018, WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY, I HEARD A LOUD 'GUN SHOT' SOUND. INSPECTION OF MY CAR ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD SHOWED NO DAMAGE. DRIVING HOME FROM WORK THAT NIGHT, ABOUT 70MPH, ALL OF A SUDDEN I HEARD NOISE OVERHEAD. LOOKING OUT MY REARVIEW MIRROR REVEALED THAT MY SUNROOF HAD JUST SHATTERED AND ALL THE CARS BEHIND ME WERE BEING HIT WITH THE SHARDS OF GLASS.

ON 8/28/2017, I WAS DRIVING ON CALIFORNIA RT. 395 SOUTH WHILE THE RENTAL CAR I WAS IN, NISSAN ROGUE 2016, WENT OFF HIGHWAY INTO THE DESERT ON A SPEED 65MPH. I ENDED UP INJURED, WITH BROKEN VERTEBRA, AND CURRENTLY ON LONG TERM DISABILITY. I WAS THE ONLY PERSON IN A CAR; WAS TAKEN TO BARSTOW COMMUNITY HOSPITAL BY AMBULANCE. AS I EXAMINE THIS ACCIDENT IN MY MEMORY, I CANNOT RECALL ANY MISTAKES IN DRIVING ON MY PART . ALL OF A SUDDEN, I COULD NOT STEER, SO CAR WENT OFF HIGHWAY. THE OWNER OF THE CAR IS ENTERPRISE RENTAL; THE CAR WAS TOTALED. SINCE THEN, I WAS CONTACTED BY ELCO WHO CONTACTED NISSAN, AND NISSAN PROVIDED AN INSPECTION, FINDING NO PROBLEMS (SEE ATTACHED; I WAS NOT PRESENT.) I ALSO HAVE A REPAIR ESTIMATE FROM MOHAVE BODY (ATTACHED). PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: 1. POLICE REPORT IS PARTIALLY INCORRECT. THERE ARE TOO MANY INCONSISTENCIES, INCLUDING THE NAME OF THE PERSON FOUND RESPONSIBLE, AND THE MAKE OF HIS CAR. POLICE REPORT CANNOT BE ATTACHED DUE TO THE SIZE LIMITATION; YOU CAN PULL IT OUT USING ACCIDENT REPORT CARD (ATTACHED.) TO MY KNOWLEDGE, THERE WERE NO DIRECT WITNESSES, SOMEONE SAW IT FROM FAR AWAY. IT WAS INDICATING LOW PRESSURE WHILE IN FACT THE PRESSURE WAS TOO HIGH, OVER 40PSI. I CHECKED AND ADJUSTED TIRE PRESSURE IN DISCOUNT TIRE IN CARSON CITY, NV; THE FAULT MESSAGE DID NOT GO AWAY. I MAINTAIN THAT THE RENTAL AGENCY DID NOT PERFORM TECHNICAL INSPECTION OF THE CAR AS THEY HAD TO, AND THERE COULD BE SOME OTHER HIDDEN PROBLEMS BESIDES TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR.*DT

FUEL EFFICIENCY MARKETING SCAM, I BOUGHT A NISSAN ROGUE 2016 TWO YEARS AGO. THE DECISION WAS UPON ITS MARKETING IN EXTRAORDINARY FUEL EFFICIENCY THE NISSAN COMPANY HAS MADE, FOR LOCAL 29/HIGHWAY32. AFTER FEW MONTHS DRIVING EXPERIENCE AND TOLD BY THE DEALER AGENT, I NEED TO DRIVE MY CAR 5K-10K MILES THEN THE ENGINE WILL PROVIDED THAT FUEL EFFICIENCY. BUT AFTER TWO YEARS DRIVEN 27K MILES SIMPLY NOTHING CHANGED, MY CAR ONLY GETS 16/27 FOR LOCAL AND HIGHWAY AND AVERAGE OUT 17-18 MILES PER GALLON. I WAS SO UPSET MYSELF HAVE MADE THAT SUCH MISTAKENLY LEADED DECISION ON BUYING THIS FAKE MARKETING VEHICLE AND NOT SAVE MY GAS MONEY ALSO POLLUTING THE ENVIRONMENT. AS EVERY TIME I HAVE CONFRONTED WITH THE DEALERS TECHINICIAN AND AGENT ON THIS ISSUE, THEY SIMPLY SAID EXCUSES AND NOT DO ANYTHING. AS A RESULT, I HOPE MY ISSUE WILL BE TAKING CARE BY AND SUGGEST ALL FUTURE BUYER NOT TO BUY ANY NISSAN VEHICLES BECAUSE THEY LIE TO CONSUMERS AND THEY ARE NOT ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY ON FUEL EFFICIENCY !!

OUR 2016 NISSAN ROGUE WAS STOPPED AT AN INTERSECTION AT 6:30 A.M. ON A CITY ROADWAY WHEN WE HEARD A LOUD POPPING NOISE AND THE SOUND OF BREAKING GLASS. WE OPENED THE COVER TO THE SUN ROOF AND THE SMALLER SUN ROOF ABOVE THE DRIVER AND FRONT PASSENGER SEATS WAS SHATTERED, BUT THE GLASS REMAINED INTACT. WE CHECKED THE SURROUNDING AREA AND COULD NOT FIND ANY OBJECT THAT COULD HAVE STRUCK THE VEHICLE, OR PEOPLE. AS SEEN IN THE PHOTOS, THE GLASS WAS BROKEN OUTWARDS FROM THE CAR. THE WEATHER WAS CLEAR, AND VISIBILITY WAS GOOD.

WHEN SHUTTING THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR THE SUNROOF EXPLODED. NISSAN WOULD NOT COVER IT UNDER WARRANTY BECAUSE THEY SAID THE SUNROOF MUST HAVE PREVIOUSLY BEEN DAMAGED. IT IS ON TOP OF THE CAR, NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO BE DAMAGED BY ANY DEBRIS FROM ROAD SINCE IT WOULD EITHER HIT THE WINDSHIELD OR FLY OVER THE VEHICLE, SO HOW WAS IT DAMAGED? NOT TOO HAPPY WITH NISSAN SINCE MY RESEARCH LED TO A WEBSITE THAT STATED THE ROGUE WAS IN THE TOP 10 FOR VEHICLES WITH MOST RANDOMLY EXPLODING SUNROOFS.

WE HAVE HAD 2 PARKING LOT FENDER BENDERS WITHIN 3 MONTHS DUE TO THE FACT THAT NISSAN'S REAR VIEW MONITORING SYSTEM'S USE OF A BACKUP CAMERA IS SO COMPLICATED TO USE AND ITS BLIND SPOT MONITORING DOES NOT FUNCTION UNDER 20 MILES PER HOUR SPEED THAT I DON'T THINK THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN APPROVED AS A FEATURE ON THIS CAR. ADDITIONALLY, THE INTERIOR BACK SEAT HEADRESTS BLOCK ALL WINDOWS THAT WOULD NORMALLY BE USED FOR VISUAL SEARCHING. AS A BUYER, I WAS NOT WARNED THAT THE SYSTEM HAS A VERY MINIMAL USE. IT TOOK TWO ACCIDENTS BEFORE I FOUND ITS LIMITATIONS BURIED IN THE MANUAL. THE SYSTEM IS VERY DANGEROUS SINCE MARKETING IMPLIES THAT IT PROTECTS FROM BACKING UP WHEN IT DOES NOT. IN THE MANUAL SMALL PRINT IT LISTS SO NINE TIMES WHEN IT WILL NOT WORK. COMPARED TO OTHER CARS SUCH AS LEXUS, THIS NISSAN 'SAFETY' FEATURE IS ACTUALLY A DANGER TO ANY DRIVER.

TOOK IT TO THE DEALER WHERE I RECEIVED MULTIPLE DIFFERENT STORIES BUT ULTIMATELY IT IS AN IDENTIFIED PROBLEM THAT THEY ARE WORKING ON AT THE FACTORY LEVEL. NEW PARTS NEED TO BE MANUFACTURED AT THE FACTORY LEVEL HOWEVER THERE IS NO TIME LINE TO WHEN THEY WILL HAVE A SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM. THEY THINK IT IS ASSOCIATED WITH A BOLT ON THE STRUT.

I HAD NO REASON TO THINK THAT A NEW CAR ONLY TWO WEEKS OLD WOULD STRAND ME BY THE ROAD. I HAD NO REASON TO BELIEVE THAT UNLIKE ANY OTHER CAR I EVER HAD, I COULD PUT DIESEL IN IT BY ERROR. NISSAN'S CUSTOMER SERVICE IS JUST AS BAD AS DEALING WITH THIS PROBLEM. NO MARKINGS TO PREVENT IT ON CAR OR PUMP AND THE NOZZLE FIT
