There is an open recall on my vehicle with no repair available and no timeline for the repair. I have already sent my car in for repairs for a previous recall last year due to random stalling. Now my car will sill randomly stall, fail to accelerate, and the engine will shut off in the middle of traffic. There were never any warning signs or messages prior to the failure. I’ve been experiencing engine failure for about a year and a half. I have had the vehicle since March 2023.

Nov 2025

On the morning of 6/18/2025 approximately at 545 am central time my 2023 Nissan Rogue SV lost complete power on Interstate 59 South in Alabama near Gadsden just past the one lane construction zone. No warning lights or check engine lights just had sudden engine noise and seen my rpm’s were holding at 3000 and not accelerating anymore. The noise stopped when the car went into limp mode. I was able to pull over onto shoulder and turned off vehicle. There were no visible leaks or signs of overheating. So called a tow truck to take me to nearest Nissan dealership. After several attempts of trying to crank my engine technicians discover a blown head gasket. Also note since owning vehicle there has been issues with engine misfiring and a spark plug blowing on cylinder 3 around 20k miles.

The vehicle makes aggressive knocking and whistling noises while driving. Gets louder as the gas pedal is accelerated. The engine shakes and vibrates the vehicle. When the vehicle is turned on and parked with the front doors open, you can visibly see them shaking/vibrating very hard. The vehicle has been in to two Nissan dealerships, which I have paid over $1100, for repairs regarding engine concerns, and the issues persist 2 weeks. I have reached out to Nissan and was informed they do not have a remedy for the open engine recall on this vehicle. The warnings regarding this recall are complete engine failure and all research I have completed suggests not driving the vehicle as it is unsafe and should be addressed immediately. I travel about 80 miles per day for work and feel extremely unsafe. I have been reporting this to Nissan prior to them issuing the recall (recall was dated 7/14/2025).
