CVT Transmission slip and judder. Upon full stop, only drives after turning ignition off and on again. Getting stuck at traffic light stop and holding up the traffic for 30 seconds every stop is a safety concern for myself and others. P0868 - FLUID PRESS LOW P0965 - PC SOLENOID B P17F0 - CVT JUDDER (T/M INSPECTION) Vehicle has been inspected and diagnosed by Nissan dealership. There has been no warning lamps to warn of the issue, other than check engine light.

Hi, I am writing to express my concern regarding a recurring issue with my 2014 Nissan Versa Note. Recently, I noticed that the vehicle emits a noticeable noise when the engine reaches 1500 to 2000 RPM. Upon consulting a mechanic, I was informed that this problem is common with the CVT transmission in Nissan Versa Note models. The mechanic advised that the transmission needs to be replaced, as this defect poses a significant hazard. There is a risk that the transmission could fail without warning, compromising the safety of the vehicle and its occupants. My car is not 10 years in and the car has started to force itself/ judders when I’m accelerating a bit on the street and freeway. It basically back tracts when I’m driving. I’m starting to not feel not safe in the car. I need my car to get to school and work. I took my car today to the mechanic and he told me the transmission is faulty which is causing the problem. He told me his other customers with same car are having those problems too.

Heat shields for exhaust system particularly protecting the gas tank from high heat tear easily at bolts making a rattling sound as a first symptom. This causes cracks in the heat shield which is flimsy, thin material. It poses a risk to drivers in that the gas tank could explode due to lack of protection or from poor protection from heat of exhaust. The sheer number of Nissan Versa and Versa Plus heat shields failing is alarming.

When I was driving normally on a hot day(90 degree), in on and go traffic, the lights of Engine, brake, battery, power steering suddenly all lighted up and the Engine stalked any the same time without any warning. Brake, power steering, oil pedal all stopped working. At that time, the AC was not in use so it would not be a problem. I turned off the Engine, and turned on it again and everything worked normally again. I brought my car to check the battery, charging system, starting system. All good. Also, I check all fluid levels(brake, transmission, engine oil, coolant, window wash fluid) which were all normal. I am the first owner of the car. The car was well maintained and gently used, and only has 15,000 miles. The most recent oil change was two months ago and it was also inspected by the Nissan dealer that time without any problems. This is very dangerous for my family. That time I was driving in the heavy traffic on high way, when the engine stalked suddenly and my car lost power, my car was hit by a SUV behind me. My 2014 Nissan Versa has been acting strange after giving a family member a jump. Now my transmission seems to slip; I would put my foot on the gas and the rpm will sometimes be stuck at 3 for longer than normal. In addition, my back driver seat lock/latch stopped unlocking all of a sudden.

CVT transmission would not shift gears. CVT is an automatic transmission, that's supposed to shift automatically. The car would be stuck in low gear causing problems while driving. I took car to Nissan dealer and purchased new CVT transmission

Transmission slips/inoperable while driving which has proven to be extremely dangerous. Vehicle taken to multiple repair locations but all were unable to fix or repair.

In February 2022, our 2014 Nissan Versa (which my husband purchased new in 2014) started to sputter and nearly stall upon acceleration. Today (3/14/2022) I visited Younger Nissan- a Nissan dealer in Frederick, MD where he purchased the car- for diagnosis and repair. They found that the car at 77,666 miles needs a completely new transmission, costing over $4000 in repairs. This is a critical safety issue. The car could have stalled at any speed, and there is no error or alarm shown on the car's dashboard indicating an issue. This is a product defect and with no warning or alarms there was no opportunity to fix or check the issue while under still under warranty. I have been driving this unsafe vehicle for several weeks, unaware that there was a critical safety issue for myself and other drivers- this is unacceptable! This is a known issue for Nissan. If you Google "2014 Nissan Versa transmission" you will find complaint after complaint- including a class action law suit- about this issue. It seems that Nissan knows and is trying to ignore this issue. I would appreciate if you looked into this issue with Nissan and their CVT transmission issues with their 2014 Nissan Versa models. I also plan to contact Nissan North America, the US Department of Transportation, the Maryland State Attorney General and possibly Small Claims Court about this issue. Please look into this so that myself and other drivers are not risking our lives driving these vehicles. I am happy to provide you with copies of my payments etc. once the car is fixed. I had to finance the majority of the repair cost as I am sure a large majority of other drivers have had to do as well. Thank you for any assistance and feedback.

Transmission failed at 65,000 miles

About a month ago the vehicle began shaking unexpectedly. The RPM started to go high when driving about 35 miles per hour. On the highway the RPM would go up to 5 or 6 and if it went down the car shook violently. At times I did not feel I would be able to keep control of the vehicle while on the highway. I stopped driving on the highway and I took the car to be seen by a mechanic. After allowing the mechanic to drive the vehicle I was informed the transmission was likely the problem and would need to be rebuilt. The mechanic suggested I take the vehicle to a transmission specialist. The transmission specialist said every CVT transmission from Nissan he has seen needs to be rebuilt and suggested I buy another car rather than pay $5,000.00 to have the transmission rebuilt. I called and spoke with Nissan. They said the warranty was no longer valid and they would charge $120.00 for a diagnostic plus the cost to fix the transmission. The vehicle is 7 years old and only has 87,000 miles on it. Prior to a month ago the vehicle had no issues. There has not been any visible indicator light to suggest the vehicle may need maintenance.

Around 86999 miles car started jumping in the front and other times in the rear of car when going from park to reverse and also when I stop at a light or/and take off . Car jumps and makes a loud noise when it happens.Took to local Nissan dealer to check the problem and they told me “ nothing is wrong with your car, we didn’t notice any thing you mentioned “. This cost $159. This problem has worsened in the month since I went to Nissan repair place!

THERE'S BEEN A RECALL ON NISSAN VERSA NOTE TRANSMISSIONS AND I WAS JUST RECENTLY INFORMED THAT IT INCLUDED MY TRANSMISSION AND NISSAN DOESN'T WANT TO REPLACE IT.

IN NOV. 2019 CAR WAS PUTTING TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TRANSMISSION FLUID WAS LOW AND IY HAD A LEAK IN THE LINE THEY PUT FLUIDS IN IT IT WAS OK FOR A MINUTE THEN ON NOV 13 HAD TRANS COOLER LINE PUT IN IT WAS RUNNING OK UNTIL NOW STILL PUTTING YOU REIMBURSE MY MY BUT I NEED A TRANSMISSION ARE YOU DOING RECALLS ON MY TRANSMISSION

CAR NEEDS A NEW TRANSMISSION. SUDDENLY STALLED WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE STREET.

IN MY 2014 NISSAN VERSA SEDAN THERE WAS A SCREECHING NOISE AT ANY POINT OF ACCELERATION THINKING IT WAS THE BRAKES. I GOT THE BRAKES CHANGED BUT THE NOISE WAS STILL THERE. I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS SOMETHING WITH THE TRANSMISSION. THE CVT TRANSMISSION THAT HAS CAUSED NOT ONLY ME BUT SO MANY OTHER PEOPLE PROBLEMS AS WELL. ONE OF THE BELTS IN THE TRANSMISSION IS SCREECHING AND CAUSING OTHER THINGS IN MY CAR TO NOT FUNCTION AS WELL. THIS IS NOT OKAY TO KNOW AND SELL A CAR WITH A TRANSMISSION THAT IS KNOWN TO FAIL SOON. I GOT THE CAR IS NOW AT 106,000 MILES. IT MAKES ME SCARED TO KNOW I DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY TO GET A NEW TRANSMISSION AND THAT THE CAR CAN GO AT ANY TIME.

DEFAULTED TRANSMISSION SHOULD BE A RECALL HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION TWICE SINCE PURCHASE

WHEN TAKING OFF,MY TRANSMISSION STALLS AND DOES NOT SHIFT CORRECTLY, CAR HAS ONLY 15,564 MILES AND THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR OVER 2 YEARS, I AM THE PERVERBABLE OLD LADY (71 YEAR OLD) LADY AND THIS CAR HAS BEEN HANDLED CAREFUL, BUT I HAVE NO MONEY TO FIX THIS PROBLEM

"TRANSMISSION" I HAD NO AWARENESS OF MY CAR HAVING PROBLEMS BUT ALWAYS KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG IT WOULD DO THIS JERKING MOTION OR ACCELERATE ON ITS OWN AND WHEN IT STALLED ON MY WHEN I PUSHED ON THE GAS THE MECHANIC TOLD MY MY TRANSMISSIONS SHOT AND THAT NISSAN HAD A RECALL ON TRANSMISSIONS. I ALWAYS KEPT MY CAR UP TO DATE AND ROUTINELY CHECKED. ITS ONLY A 2014.

WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP, THE CAR BOUNCES OR VIBRATES, THEN I HAVE TO TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR SO THE GEARS WILL CHANGE,I CAN'T AFFORD TO GET THIS FIXED SO I LIVE WITH IT, THE CAR HAS 15,340 MILES ON IT CAN YOU HELP ME?

TRANSMISSION PROBLEM TUGGING AND MISFIRING UNTIL CAR FAILED TO ACCELERATE ,INSTANTLY COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF A 75 MILE AN HOUR FREEWAY RISKING MY LIFE AND THOSE OF OTHERS ON THE HWY. FIRST TIME ON THE FREEWAY WHILE RUNNING, SECOND TIME I WAS PARKED, BUT WHEN I TRY TO BACK UP IT SHOT DOWN THIRD TIME WAS RUNNING. TRANSMISSION GOING OUT. JERKING WHILE DRIVING AND SHUTTING OFF.

I BOUGHT MY CAR BRAND NEW IN JANUARY OF 2014. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING IT SINCE. THE WHOLE MUFFLER SYSTEM FROM THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER ON BACK NEEDS REPLACED. THAT INCLUDES THE RESONATOR AND THE MUFFLER AND THE PIPES. WHY? IT LASTED ONLY 3 1/2 YEARS WITH 51,000 MILES ON IT? THAT IS RIDICULOUS. I PAID CASH FOR THE CAR AND HAVE NO EXTENDED WARRANTY. WHAT KIND OF GARBAGE PARTS ARE THEY USING. I LIVE IN PENNSYLVANIA AND I KNOW WE GET ROAD SALT PROBLEMS BUT NOT IN 3 1/2 YEARS. HOW THIN IS THE METAL THEY USED? THERE IS NOT EVEN AN AFTERMARKET PART TO REPLACE THESE PARTS. WHAT A RIP OFF.
