WHILE BACKING UP TO A TRAILER TO HITCH TO IT I WAS USING THE REVERSE CAMERA IN THE STEREO AND I HEARD A POP AND THE STEREO SHUT OFF ALONG WITH THE SCREEN FOR THE CAMERA. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED WITH THIS STEREO. I JUST HAD THE STEREO REPLACED IN APRIL FOR THE SAME ISSUE AND I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS A PROGRAMMING ISSUE WITH THE SYSTEM. WILL BE CONTACTING THE DEALER TO HAVE THIS STEREO CHECKED OUT AGAIN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FAILED INTERMITTENTLY. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO VIEW THE TIRE PRESSURE, THE OIL PRESSURE, THE COOLING TEMPERATURE INFORMATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE INSPECTED. THE MECHANIC INSPECTED SOME UNKNOWN WIRES, CLEANED THE WIRES BUT, WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 29,900. *DT *TR
AFTER A 350 MILE TRIP I PARKED THE TRUCK IN THE DRIVEWAY THE NEXT DAY IT WAS DEAD. THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 SEPARATE TIMES. THE DEALER HAS HAD IT FOR TWO WEEKS THIS TIME, 5 DAYS THE FIRST TIME AND 5 DAYS THE SECOND TIME. RAM IS DOING NOTHING TO SOLVE THE ISSUE. PLEASE HELP.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2019 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 70 MPH ON CRUISE CONTROL, THERE WAS A STRONG BURNING ODOR AND DISCOVERED THROUGH THE REARVIEW MIRROR THAT THERE WAS BLACK SMOKE COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED HE PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER AND GOT OUT THE VEHICLE. THE SMOKE WAS COMING FROM THE HOOD AND THE FIRE WAS VISIBLE UNDER THE VEHICLE. THE POLICE CAME TO THE SCENE AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT CAME ON THE SCENE AND EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO TOWING LOT WHERE THEN THE INSURANCE COMPANY TOWED THE VEHICLE TO AN UNKNOWN LOCATION AND DEEMED IT DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. HOWEVER, NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 15,000.
STEREO CAN BE TURNED ON WITHOUT THE KEY FOB OR PRESSING THE IGNITION BUTTON CAUSING THE BATTERY TO DRAIN DEAD
THE INFORMATION SYSTEM IN THE INSTRUMENT PANEL DOES NOT WORK OR WORKS INTERMITTENTLY. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID IT WOULD BE A $1400.00 REPAIR BUT THE SYSTEM STARTED WORKING AGAIN WHEN THE MECHANIC BROUGHT THE TRUCK AROUND FOR ME TO LEAVE. IT HAS WORKED OFF AND ON SINCE THEN. IT'S A VERY EXPENSIVE REPAIR AND NO GUARANTEE IT WILL NOT FAIL AGAIN. THERE SEEMS TO BE NO PATTERN OF WHEN THE INFORMATION SYSTEM WILL QUIT.
2019 RAM WITH 12" SCREEN DEVELOPED ELECTRICAL ISSUES WITH 5100 MILES. THE SCREEN AND OTHER ELECTRICAL ITEMS WILL WORK FINE IN THE ACCESSORY MODE BUT AS SOON AS YOU START THE VEHICLE THE SCREEN GOES BLACK AND A LOT OF ELECTRICAL ISSUES BEGIN. THE DEFROSTER GOES ON HIGH, THE SEAT DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY GO FORWARD, THE FRONT WINDOWS DO NOT WORK AND THE BLIND SPOT SENSOR WILL NOT WORK. WITH SCREEN OUT YOU HAVE NO BACKUP CAMERA AND LOSING THE BLIND SPOT ALSO CAUSES SERIOUS RISK OF AN ACCIDENT. FIRST DEALER THE TRUCK WAS TAKEN TO COULD NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WITH ANOTHER DEALER AND HOPE THAT THEY CAN RESOLVE THESE ISSUES. I NOTICED ONLINE THEY HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE UNCONNECT AND SIRIUS RADIO BUT I DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS ASSOCIATED WITH MY PROBLEM.
MY LEFT REAR LED TURN SIGNAL. WARNING LIGHT ON MY DASH CAME ON. I INVESTIGATED THE PROBLEM AND THOUGHT I WOULD TRY TO REPAIR THE TAIL LIGHT. I COULDN'T FIX IT DUE TO TOO MUCH ELECTRONICS INVOLVED SO I RE ASSEMBLED THE TAIL LIGHT AND MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO SEE MY DEALER. I TOOK THE TRUCK IN AND WAS TOLD THE WARRANTY WAS VOIDED BECAUSE I TOOK IT APART TO SEE IF I COULD REPAIR THE LIGHT. THEY WOULD NOT REPLACE IT. THE REASON I AM WRITING IS THAT THE TAILLIGHT FAILED. WHY? IT WAS NEVER INVESTIGATED, ONLY TOLD ME I WAS NOT ALLOWED TO BE REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY. I WOULD HAVE TO PAY. HOWEVER IF THE LIGHT FAILED ON MY TRUCK, WHY? DID IT FAIL BECAUSE OF OTHER THINGS WRONG., IS IT A SAFETY ISSUE I SAY YES. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK OR ADVISE. THIS INCIDENT HAS BECOME MORE PREVALENT. IT BEGAN ABOUT TWO MONTHS AGO AS WHAT I THOUGHT WAS SOMETHING STUCK IN THE GROOVES OF THE TIRES. BUT AS IT BEGAN TO OCCUR MORE AND MORE REGULARLY I FELT IT WAS TIME TO TRY AND GET SOME HELP WITH THE PROBLEM. WHILE IN MOTION, WHEN I REMOVE MY FOOT FROM THE GAS PEDAL AND IT IS NOT PRESSED AND TRUCK BEGINS DECELERATING, AT APPROXIMATELY 45 TO 50 MILES PER HOUR A DRONE/HUM WILL BEGIN WITHIN THE CAB OF THE TRUCK. IF I DO NOT PRESS THE GAS PEDAL OR ROLL DOWN WINDOWS THE DRONE/HUM WILL GET LOUDER AND MORE PRONOUNCED. IF IT IS NOT ELIMINATED, THE DRONE/HUM WILL INCREASE IN DECIBELS AND ACTUALLY BECOME PHYSICALLY FELT WITHIN THE TRUCK. SINCE THE SOUND ALMOST SEEMS TO RESONATE FROM THE SPEAKERS, I HAVE TRIED UNPLUGGING THE ANC (ACTIVE NOISE CANCELLATION) DEVICE UNDER THE DRIVER'S SEAT. WHILE THIS DOES STOP THE RADIO SPEAKERS FROM PLAYING ANY MUSIC, IT DOES ALSO SEEM TO PREVENT THE DRONE/HUM FROM OCCURRING. THE TRUCK WAS PURCHASED IN EARLY JUNE OF 2019 AND CURRENTLY HAS ABOUT 12,500 MILES ON IT. THERE HAS BEEN NO CUSTOMIZATION OR ALTERATION OF ANYTHING ON THE VEHICLE.
UCONNECT SYSTEM RESETS ITS SELF EVERY FEW MINUTES. IT HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIME DURING BACK UP WHICH RENDERS THE BACK UP CAMS INOPERABLE.
WHEN THE CAR IS RUNNING AND PUT INTO REVERSE THE BACKUP CAMERA RANDOMLY QUITS WORKING. GET A BLUE SCREEN. HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES SINCE I BOUGHT IT IN JANUARY 2019. DEALERSHIP CLAIMS THAT THEY HAVE NOT HEARD OF IT. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP YESTERDAY AND OF COURSE CAMERA WAS WORKING FINE. TODAY IT HASN'T WORKED ALL DAY. THE
I STARTED MY 2019 RAM 1500 IN A PARKING LOT AND SHIFTED TO DRIVE, I STARTED TO SLOWLY MOVE FORWARD WHEN I HEARD A ENGINE REVVING A COUPLE TIMES THEN ACCELERATE. I STOPPED LOOKED AROUND AND SAW NO VEHICLES IN MY PROXIMITY (OPEN SHIPPING DOCK). THEN I REALIZED THE SOUNDS WERE COMING FROM THE INSIDE OF MY VEHICLE. I STARTED TO MOVE AGAIN AND THE NOISES PERSISTED. I THOUGHT IT WOULD GO AWAY SO I PROGRESSED ONTO A PUBLIC STREET FROM THE SHIPPING DOCK PARKING LOT AND THE NOISES CONTINUED. I WAS FORCED TO PULL TO THE EDGE OF THE ROAD AND CYCLE THE IGNITION. IT TOOK TWO CYCLES OF THE IGNITION TO MAKE THE ISSUE CEASE. THE SECOND ISSUE WAS A ELECTRIC THROTTLE CONTROL FAILURE THAT RESULTED IN MY VEHICLE HAVING ZERO THROTTLE RESPONSE AND RESULTED IN THE VEHICLE GETTING TOWED TO THE SERVICING DEALER. I LIVE IN A RURAL AREA WITH A LOT OF 55MPH CURVY ROADS AND THIS THROTTLE FAILURE RESULTED IN A DISABLED VEHICLE THAT COULD HAVE EASILY BEEN HIT BY SURROUNDING TRAFFIC.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AUTO START/STOP FEATURE WAS NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY AS THE VEHICLE HAD LUNGED FORWARD SEVERAL TIMES CAUSING THE CONTACT TO APPLY EXTREME FORCE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL TO SLOW DOWN AND STOP THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER (LUSTINE CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM, 14211 JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY, WOODBRIDGE, VA 22191, (703) 496-5202)) HAD NOT TEST DROVE THE VEHICLE YET TO DETERMINE IF THEY MAY BE ABLE TO REPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS UNCERTAIN IF THE FEATURE MAY CAUSE A CATASTROPHIC CRASH DUE TO THE INTERMITTENT FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE TO DETERMINE IF THEY HAD A REMEDY. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 11.
WHEN I WAS DRIVING MY TRUCK TO SLOW DOWN THE VEHICLE WAS COMPLETELY TURNED OFF AND IT IS THE SECOND TIME IT HAPPENS, TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER COMES A LOW-VOLTAGE CODE IN THE BATTERY THAT THEY TELL ME IS WHEN YOU DO NOT DRIVE FOR A GOOD TIME , BUT THIS IS MY VEHICLE OF DAILY USE. CITY STREET
DRIVING MY TRUCK IN THE CITY AT THE TIME OF STOPPING THE COMPUTER AS IT DISCONNECTS THE CHANGE AND ASKS ME TO PUT IT BACK ON THE P AND THEN SELECT MY GEAR AGAIN, AND THAT ALREADY APASADO TWICE AS WELL.
WHILE BACK OUT MY GARAGE, ALL THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHTS CAME ON AND STARTED FLASHING AND THE DASH STARTED DISPLAYING SERVICE TRACTION, SERVICE ELECTRICAL, SERVICE SHIFTER. AUTO PARK DISABLED. THE WIPERS WOULD COME ON AUTOMATICALLY WHEN IN THE OFF POSITION. SERVICE AIR BAG SYSTEM. ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL AND THERE WAS MORE. THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH STARTED FLASHING AND CONTINUED TO FLASH EVEN WHEN VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF. I DISCONNECTED WIRES FROM BATTERY TERMINAL TO KILL POWER SO THE LIGHTS WOULD STAY OFF. POWER DOORS WOULD LOCK OR UNLOCK
THIS 2019 RAM 1500 HAS SERIOUS PROBLEMS. IT SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE DRIVEN ON THE ROAD EVER AGAIN. I WOULD FEAR FOR MY OWN LIFE ALONG WITH OTHER PEOPLE ON THE ROAD. WHILE DRIVING MY 2019 RAM ELECTRONICS THROUGH OUT THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO FAIL. THIS WAS WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH ON THE FREEWAY. POWER STEERING, SHIFTER GEAR, ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL, AIRBAGS, 4WD SYSTEM, TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM, ABS SYSTEM, AUTO BRAKE SYSTEM ALL FAILED AT ONCE. NO HEADLIGHTS NO BRAKE LIGHTS AND NO TURN SIGNALS. THE DASHBOARD EVEN SHUT OFF. THIS IS A SERIOUS NIGHTMARE AND A DANGER TO EVERYONE. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED WITH MY VEHICLE AND ONLY WAS DRIVEN 20 MILES AFTER IS WAS SUPPOSEDLY FIXED. THEY REPLACED THE ECM. I BELIEVE THAT IF A LESS EXPERIENCED DRIVER WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE IT FOR SURE WOULD HAVE ENDED UP IN A ACCIDENT. AT THIS TIME CHRYSLER AND SNETHKAMP CDJR CANNOT FIGURE OUT WHAT THE EXACT ISSUE IS TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE
