Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2014 Toyota Avalon. The contact stated that the vehicle was driven to AAA Auto Repair facility and the contact was informed that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a dealer sale. At the time of purchase the vehicle mileage was 93,326, and after AAA retrieved the Carfax Report, it was discovered that the mileage was 362,712.
PRE COLLOSION SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE TOYOTA DEALER AND WAS TOLD THEY NEEDED TO REPLACE A COMPUTER IN THE SYSTEM AT A COST OF OVER $1000. WHICH WAS NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY OR MY EXTENDED WARRANTY.

2014 AVALON HYBRID - AIR CONDITIONING BLOWER SWITCH/MOTOR NEED REPLACEMENT. TOTAL COST $980.00. NOT COVERED UNDER TOYOTA WARRANTY OR ADDITL WARRANTY. SERVICE TECHNICIAN STATED THIS IS REAR FOR TOYOTA - BUT DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. THE AIR CONDITIONER WORKS WHEN THE CAR IS MOVING , WHEN IT STOPS IT BLOWS OUT HOT AIR.. THIS IS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE WHEN LIVING IN FLORIDA WITH THE AVERAGE TEMP 99 DEGREES AND UP. THIS IS MY FIRST TIME IN 50+ YEARS REPLACING A BLOWER MOTOR FOR AN AIR CONDITIONER IN MY CAR-I THOUGHT TOYOTA WAS THE BEST OF CARS. I AM VERY MUCH DISAPPOINTED. FRUSTRATED CONSUMER,
SINCE THE 13TH OF NOVEMBER UNTIL NOVEMBER 22,2017 I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH STARTING MY CAR. TWO MONTHS PRIOR I HAD JUST PURCHASED A NEW BATTERY SO WHEN THE PROBLEM STARTED I HAD THE BATTERY RETESTED TWICE BY TWO SEPARATED COMPANIES .THE BATTERY WAS FOUND TO BE GOOD AND CHARGING LIKE IT SHOULD.THE ALTERNATOR WAS GOOD BUT YET THE CAR CONTINUED TO BE JUMPED TWICE A DAY. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP IT WAS CHECKED OUT AND WE FOUND THE BATTERY IN THE KEY FOB WAS DEAD. GOT A NEW BATTERY FOR THE KEY FOB IT WORK FOR ONE DAY. THE NEXT NIGHT AS I PREPARED TO LEAVE HOME FOR WORK I HAD TO JUMP START MY CAR AGAIN AND 8 HOURS LATER I HAD TO JUMP START AGAIN TO GET HOME. ON 11/22/17 I TRIED TO START MY CAR AGAIN IT WOULD NOT START EVERYTHING ON THE INSIDE WAS BLACK NOTHING WAS LIT ON THE INSTRUMENTAL PANEL AND EVERYTHING ON THE CAR IS DRAINED.

THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED, THE BRAKES ENGAGED, THE SEAT BELT TIGHTENED, AND THE VEHICLE DECELERATED WITHOUT WARNING. THE DEALER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND WAS UNABLE TO SUPPLY A REMEDY. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE FEATURE WAS SET TO THE MANUFACTURER'S STANDARDS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED NO REMEDY. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6,572.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 TOYOTA AVALON. FIFTEEN MINUTES AFTER PARKING AND EXITING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT RETURNED TO FIND THE ENGINE RUNNING INDEPENDENTLY AND THE DOORS LOCKED. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 TOYOTA AVALON. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CENTER CONSOLE BECAME EXTREMELY HOT TO THE TOUCH AND A BURNING ODOR WAS PRESENT INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE DEALER TESTED THE TEMPERATURE INSIDE THE CENTER CONSOLE, WHICH READ MORE THEN 140 DEGREES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
