Took my car in to the dealership when the SRS light came on. Dealership initially said it was due to damage to the electrical harness We paid over 8000 for repairs and got our car back. We had to take the vehicle back 2 more times as the light kept coming back on. The final fix the dealership did to finally make the SRS light stop coming back is the same thing for the fix for the recall for the SRS in Toyotas even though my vin is not on the list
I received a notice of a recall a couple months ago with a note that there was no remedy as of yet. I have been waiting to schedule the repair and driving the car less. I received another notice also stating there is no remedy but to contact them if any questions. I contacted the manufacturer and they told me to contact the dealership. The dealer ship, when I stated there was a recall on the passenger airbag and I didnt want to drive an unsafe car around, playing russian roulette on the safety equipment if we did get in an accident. The service advisor responded with asking if I drive around in the passenger seat. He then also told me to contact the manufacturer cause they cant do anything. This just happens to be with my Toyota Camry but unfortunately our other car ALSO has an airbag recall for the Driver side ALSO with NO REMEDY! (its a 2016 Buick Enclave) They wont make an appointment to do anything. Nobody seems to want to help me cause I am just the consumer, which means nothing to companies now. I just want my car safe. How can I get assistance getting this fixed?
My vehicle has had an open recall since December 20th, 2023 on the passenger airbag not deploying due to being manufactured improperly. I have reached out to Toyota and they still do not have a remedy for the issue and have no time frame on a fix. This is a major safety issue and negligent on their end. They have numerous vehicles that were affected by this recall. The increase in injury due to this issue is substantially higher.
I am trying to get this resolved as a preventative measure and there is no remedy yet.

The subject vehicles have Occupant Classification System (OCS) sensors in the front passenger seat, that could have been improperly manufactured.
