TAKATA RECALL: ATTEMPTED TO HAVE RECALL SERVICE COMPLETED AT HERITAGE TOYOTA IN CATONSVILLE, MD. WAS TOLD THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PARTS AND WAS PUT ON A WAITING LIST.
TAKATA RECALL WESTBURY TOYOTA HAS A 2011 SIENNA LE IN SILVER ON SALE ON THEIR LOT. I ADDRESSED THEM VIA EMAIL ABOUT MY CONCERNS ON RECALLS SPECIFICALLY THE TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL. WHEN I ENTERED THE VIN ON THE NHYSA WEBSITE IT SHOWED ONE RECALL 1/9/2019 FOR AIRBAG BUT NO OFFICIAL RECALL NUMBER ASSIGNED TO IT YET. AS SOON AS I EMAILED THEM BACK AT NIGHT AROUND 9 PM I NOTICED THE RECALL NOTICE HAD DISAPPEARED. THE CARFAX ALSO SHOWS 1/24/2019 THAT MANUFACTURE MAINTENANCE WAS CONDUCTED. SO ALL OF A SUDDEN AT 9:30 PM THEY MAGICALLY FIXED THE AIRBAGS!? I'M WORRIED ABOUT THE LEGITIMACY OF THE FIX THEY CONDUCTED AND AFRAID SOMEONE MIGHT GET INJURED SHOULD THEY BUY THIS VEHICLE. PLEASE INVESTIGATE OR REACH OUT TO THEM.

TAKATA RECALL. I HAVEN'T RECEIVED ANY RECALL FOR REPLACING TAKATA AIRBAGS FOR MY VEHICLE FROM MY TOYOTA DEALER. I'M VERY CONCERNED DRIVING THAT VEHICLE. I WAS DRIVING MY TOYOTA SIENNA 2011(US 22W ALLENTOWN PA HIGHWAY) WHEN SUDDENLY MY VEHICLE WAS HIT HARDLY BY A CHEVY SUV, THEN I HIT LATERALLY THE WALL DIVIDING THE HIGHWAY, LATELY HIT A ALUMINIUM FENCE. I WAS ADMITTED AT LEHIGH VALLEY HEALTH NETWORK, CEDAR CREST HOSPITAL WITH HITS ALL OVER MY BODY, ESPECIALLY, AN OPEN-WOUND TRAUMA IN MY FOREHEAD. I STARTED HAVING RECURRENT HEADACHES, PAINFUL BACK AND NECK ACCOMPANY OF SWELLING, NUMBNESS AND CRAMPS IN MY RIGHT LIMB. I WAS ATTENDING PHYSICAL THERAPIES, STILL I AM TAKING MEDICATIONS BY RELIEF RECURRENT MIGRAINES, BACK AND NECK PAIN PROVOKED BY THE WHIPLASH SYNDROME LONG-TERM INJURIES. WHEN CHECKING ON THE VEHICLE WAS VERY NOTICEABLE THAT NONE OF AIR-BAGS WAS OPENED. BECAUSE OF THIS SITUATION MY INJURIES WERE WORST.
THIS WEBSITE AND SENT NOTICES STATE THAT MY 2011 TOYOTA SIENNA IS ON TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL. WHEN I JUST CALLED BOCH TOYOTA SOUTH TO SCHEDULE THE RECALL AND REPLACE MY AIRBAGS, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE SAID THAT THE AIRBAG RECALL IS VEHICLE SPECIFIC AND MY MINI VAN IS NOT ON THEIR RECALL LIST, THEREFORE I CANNOT GET THE SAFER AIRBAGS INSTALLED. I'D LIKE TO GET THIS PROBLEM RESOLVED AND MAKE MY VEHICLE SAFER.
TAKATA RECALL - THIS IS A FORMAL COMPLAINT REGARDING THE LACK OF REMEDY FOR THE AIRBAG ON MY TOYOTA SIENNA - PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. THIS ISSUE IMPEDES HAVING PASSENGERS RIDE SAFELY IN THE FRONT AND THIS HAS NOT BEEN RECTIFIED FOR SEVERAL YEARS. WE DO NOT FEEL COMPLETELY SAFE WHEN RIDING IN THE VEHICLE DUE TO THE "UNKNOWN" NATURE OF THIS RECALL. DEATHS RELATED TO THIS PARTICULAR ISSUE HAVE ALREADY BEEN REPORTED IN SEVERAL STATES.
"TAKATA RECALL" RECALL OF THE TAKATA AIRBAG INFLATORS HAVE NOT BEEN REPLACED. TOYOTA CORPORATION DID NOTIFY US AND WHEN WE QUESTIONED ABOUT THE REPLACEMENT AT PRICE TOYOTA, 168 NORTH DUPONT HIGHWAY, NEW CASTLE, DE 19720, REPLACEMENT PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE AT THAT TIME. NOT FURTHER COMMUNICATIONS FOR APPROXIMATELY 2 YEARS.

THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A HEAD INJURY THAT DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 16V340000 AND 11V560000 (AIR BAGS, EQUIPMENT). THE PARTS TO DO THE REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AT 800-331-4331 AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 1707060766. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000.

TAKATA RECALL: WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR OUR PASSENGER AIRBAG TO BE REPLACED FOR OVER A YEAR. WE FEEL THIS HAS BEEN PLENTY OF TIME TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM.
TAKATA RECALL- I RECEIVED NOTICE THAT MY VAN'S PASSENGER AIRBAG WAS DEFECTIVE AND TO NOT ALLOW ANY PASSENGER IN MY FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. I AM IN A PRIORITY GEOGRAPHICAL AREA DUE TO HEAT AND HUMIDITY. I RECEIVED THIS NOTICE ALMOST A YEAR AGO. I BOUGHT A MINIVAN BECAUSE I USE IT TO TRAVEL WITH THE FAMILY. NOT BEING ABLE TO USE THE VAN FOR THIS PURPOSE, AND KNOWING IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD FOR THIS AMOUNT OF TIME SEEMS INORDINATE, INCONVENIENT TO SAY THE LEAST, AND RISKY! WHEN WILL TOYOTA HAVE A FIX?!

TAKATA RECALL: DESPITE BEING IN ZONE A, MY LOCAL TOYOTA DEALER (SERVCO HAWAII) SAYS IT WILL BE MANY MONTHS BEFORE THEY CAN GET TO FIXING MY AIRBAG (I WAITED ON THE PHONE FOR OVER AN HOUR BEFORE THEY EVEN ANSWERED MY CALL). GIVEN THAT ZONE A CARS ARE AT THE GREATEST RISK OF ACCIDENTAL AIR BAG EXPLOSION, AND GIVEN THAT TOYOTA SAYS THAT THE FRONT SEAT SHOULD NOT BE OCCUPIED UNTIL THE PROBLEM IS FIXED, IT SEEMS INADEQUATE TO JUST TELL THE CONSUMER THAT THEY WILL GET TO IT IN A FEW (INDETERMINATE) MONTHS. I WOULD LIKE MY CAR FIXED IMMEDIATELY.
TAKATA RECALL THEY SENT ME A RECALL NOTICE ABOUT ONE YEAR AGO STATING NO SOLUTION YET, IN THE MEANTIME, DEATH MAY OCCUR IF PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG DEPLOYS. SO FOR A YEAR NO ONE CAN SIT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT, ABOUT A WEEK AGO I FINALLY GET A NOTICE THAT THEY HAVE THE PARTS NOW. I CALL THEM AND THEY PUT ME ON A WAIT LIST THAT THE SAN JOSE STEVEN'S CREEK TOYOTA DEALER TELLS ME IS GOING TO BE 4 TO 6 WEEKS WAIT. SO FOR A YEAR, NO ONE CAN SIT ON THE PASSENGER SEAT OR FEAR OF DEATH IF THE AIRBAG DEPLOYS. NOW ITS 4 TO 6 MORE WEEKS LONGER. I HAVE 2 CHILDREN SEATS INSTALLED IN THE MIDDLE ROW AND THE BACK SEATS ARE FOLDED DOWN TO CARRY CARGO. WHERE IS MY WIFE SUPPOSED TO SIT IN THE MEANTIME?!? THIS IS A RIDICULOUSLY LONG TIME THAT I'M NOT ABLE TO USE MY PASSENGER SIDE SEAT. THIS IS CRIMINAL.

TAKATA RECALL I GOT THIS NOTICE IN 2016 AND STILL NO AIRBAG FIX. THIS IS OUR FAMILY CAR AND I'VE BEEN PUT OUT MANY TIMES WITH ONLY BEING ABLE TO FIT THE DRIVER AND 5 PEOPLE IN THE BACK. PLUS WHEN MY HUSBAND DRIVES, I HAVE TO SIT IN THE BACK. GETTING TIRED OF WAITING KNOWING THERE IS A FIX TO THIS PROBLEM.

TAKATA RECALL - RECALL IS OVER A YEAR OLD. I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR TO MIKE ERDMAN TOYOTA TO ADDRESS THIS AND HAVE BEEN ON THEIR LIST FOR AN EXTREME PERIOD. THIS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED BEFORE SOMEONE IS INJURED DUE TO RECALL. I LIVE IN FLORIDA WHERE THE CONCERN HAS BEEN NOTED TO BE MORE CONCERNING.
IN JULY 2016, I WAS NOTIFIED THAT THE AIR BAG WAS DANGEROUS AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. I WAS ON VACATION AND WHEN I RETURNED IN AUGUST, I ASKED MY DEALER ABOUT THE REPLACEMENT. I WAS TOLD THAT I HAD TO WAIT A FEW MONTHS FOR THE PART TO COME IN. LATER IN THE YEAR I AGAIN ASKED ABOUT IT AND WAS TOLD TO COME IN MARCH. I ASKED IN MARCH AND WAS TOLD THAT THE PART WOULD BE IN BY JUNE. I JUST ASKED AND WAS NOW PUT OFF TO THE END OF JUNE. I CANNOT KEEP DELAYING MY PLANS TO USE THE PASSENGER SEAT. WE WANT TO GO ON VACATION NOW, NOT NEXT MONTH.
