Car can’t read transmission gears the stabilitrak service is on
My transmission as well -
To whom it may concern: I have had my vehicle fixed twice for the same problem . The automotive service shop that fixed it said it was a part called an autonator. It makes a clicking sound when the vehicle shuts off. It has been repaired twice and eventually it starts back. Also one side of the heating system works. When you turn it on one side stays cool and the other side gives the warm air.
I WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT ON FREEWAY AT 70MPH WHEN "SERVICE STABILITRAK" "SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL" AND "ENGINE POWER REDUCED" SHOWED IN MY DASH AS WELL AS CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. AT THE SAME TIME THE CAR SHIFTED ITSELF TO 3RD GEAR AND REDUCED SPEED TO 40MPH WITHOUT CHANGE IN DRIVER INPUT. THIS RESULTED IN A NEAR ACCIDENT THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN FATAL. THERE WAS A 18 WHEELER RIGHT BEHIND ME WHO WAS LUCKILY PAYING ATTENTION AND DID NOT CRUSH ME WHEN MY VEHICLE DID THIS. I THEN HAD TO CONTINUE DOWN THE FREEWAY UNABLE TO GO BEYOND 50MPH OR GET OUT OF 3RD GEAR DUE TO TRACTION CONTROL MALFUNCTION. I HAD TRACTION CONTROL SET TO OFF AS I ALWAYS DO, IT'S NOT A NEEDED THING LIVING IN A DRY LOW ELEVATION ENVIRONMENT. IF I APPLIED MORE GAS THE ENGINE WOULD "BOG DOWN" AND NEARLY STALL BECAUSE THE COMPUTER WAS LIMITING SPEED AND GEAR. I NEARLY DIED TODAY BECAUSE OF POOR ENGINEERING.
MY TRUNK KEEPS GETTING WET AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON BECAUSE OF GAS CAP OR LEAK
MY VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY. I WAS SITTING AT A FAST FOOD DRIVE THRU. WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN, MY REAR WINDSHIELD CRACKED WITHOUT WARNING. THERE WAS NO BLUNT FORCE OR OBJECT THAT DIRECTLY HIT MY REAR WINDSHIELD. THE WHOLE REAR WINDSHIELD CRACKED AND I HEARD LOUD SOUND WHEN MY REAR WINDSHIELD CRACKED. I HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING TO MY WINDSHIELD OR MY VEHICLE FOR THE MATTER, FOR THIS TO HAPPEN. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP FOR ASSISTANCE ON THIS MATTER AND I WAS REFERRED TO G.M.C WHICH IS GENERAL MOTORS, AND I COULDN'T GET ANY ASSISTANCE, IN REGARDS TO MY VEHICLE BEING SAFE TO DRIVE. WHAT MAY HAVE CRACKED MY REAR WINDSHIELD IS UNKNOWN.
THE TRUCK IS FILLING UP WITH WATER AND CAUSING A MILDEW SMELL IN THE CAR FROM THE WATER GETTINGNSTALE.
NOTICED A SMELL OF MOLD IN THE TRUNK. NOTED WATER IN THE SPARE TIRE AREA AND MOLD. TOOK TO THE DEALER AND FOUND THE REAR TAILLIGHT SEALS LEAKING. NOTICED THERE IS TSB G-191495 AND NHTSA 10092869 REGARDING THE ISSUE. ITS COSTING OVER $400 TO FIX AND THAT DOES NOT INCLUDE DRYING OUT THE CARPETS ETC. THE MOISTURE EXTENDED UP INTO THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT UP TO THE FRONT FLOOR WELLS. *TR
2014 IMPALA LTZ HELLO ALL I AM HAVING A HARD TIME FINDING ANY INFO2 TO HELP MY ISSUE. THE SUNROOF SHADE TO MY IMPALA HAS CAME OFF ON ONE SIDE OF THE TRACK. IT IS HELD ON BY GLUE AND APPEARS LIKE NOTHING ELSE. DEALERSHIPS ARE NO HELP AND ONLY WANT TO SELL YOU MORE ON TOP OF YOUR ISSUE. I TRUELY BELIEVE WHOLE HEARTEDLY THAT THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING TO AN IMPALA WITH LESS THAN 58K ON IT. I HARDLY EVER USE THE SUN ROOF LUCKILY OR IT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED SOONER. I TAKE THE BEST CARE OF THIS VEHICLE THAT I CAN. PLEASE HELP MYSELF AND ALL THE OTHERS DEALING WITH THIS ISSUE. TAKING APART THE WHOLE INTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE AND PAY 2,000 TO REPAIR A PAPER SHADE AND RE GLUE IT TO THE TRACK DOESNT SEEM FAIR. IM NOT SURE HOW MANY OF THESE WE CAN SEND INDIVIDUALLY BUT PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE DEC OF LAST YEAR. IT WAS BOUGHT NEW FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNER. WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE I HAVE ALWAYS FELT SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION ALSO. I UNDERSTAND ITS A NEW DESIGN BUT THE VERY HARD SHIFTS INTO DRIVE AND JERKING INTO GEAR ON THE HIGHWAY MADE ME TAKE IT IN. AGAIN DEALERSHIPS ARE NO HELP. THEY WILL NOT TAKE THE TIME TO HELP YOU AND ONLY PUSH YOU TO THE SIDE. THE BEHICLE WAS UNDER WARRENTY WHEN I WENT IN LAST YEAR. IM NOT SURE ABOUT NOW. MY VEHICLE LITTERALLY ONLY HAS 574056 MILES ON IT. I TRAVEL FOR WORK AND IT IS KEPT IN STORAGE 90% OF THE TIME. PLEASE HELP
SIDE SENSOR FUSE WAS BLOWN AND WITH MESSAGE ON VEHICLE DISPLAY. REPLACED WITH THE CORRECT TYPE OF FUSE. WENT INTO HOUSE AND 15 MINUTES LATER COULD SMELL SMOKE. WENT TO GARAGE AND SAW SMOKE COMING FROM THE VEHICLE BUMPER AREA, NO FIRE WAS PRESENT.
SERVICE STILBILITRAK ... MY CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE OR SHIFT GEARS RIGHT
I WAS TRAVELING FORWARD GOING ABOUT 25 MPH ON A RESIDENTIAL STREET WHEN SUDDENLY, AFTER GOING OVER A DIP, THE VEHICLE SEEMED TO DROP ON THE FRONT RIGHT HAND SIDE. SIMULTANEOUSLY, THE SIDE AIRBAGS (BOTH FRONT AND BACK) DEPLOYED. I COMPLETELY LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, BUT LUCKILY WAS ABLE TO COME TO A STOP ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO BE DRIVEN AWAY FROM THE ACCIDENT. WHEN I LOOKED AT MY FRONT TIRES THEY WERE NO LONGER TURNED THE SAME DIRECTION BUT THERE WAS NO NOTICEABLE DAMAGE TO THE FRONT END, TIRES, OR RIMS AT ALL. THE ONLY SYMPTOM THAT COMES TO MIND BEFORE THIS INCIDENT HAPPENING WAS THE FRONT RIGHT LOW PRESSURE TIRE LIGHT WOULD TURN ON. I WOULD PUT AIR IN IT, AND FIGURED I MUST HAVE RAN OVER A NAIL AND HAD A SLOW LEAK. DUE TO HOW VIOLENT THE ACCIDENT FELT GOING ONLY 25 MPH, IT MAKES ME WONDER IF THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE TO OTHER PEOPLE. IF I'D BEEN GOING 50 MPH OR MORE IT WOULD HAVE MOST DEFINITELY ROLLED, DAMAGING THE VEHICLE TO THE POINT OF NOT BEING ABLE TO REALLY IDENTIFY THE ROOT CAUSE. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS. BLINDSPOT DETECTOR ON PASSENGER MIRROR NOT WORKING. STARTED FLASHING WHILE DRIVING WITH NO CAR AROUND ON CITY STREET. THEN LIGHT STOP FLASHING AND JUST STAYED ON. GOT HOME TURNED CAR OFF AND LIGHT STAYED ON. NEXT MORNING LIGHT WAS STILL ON BUT THE CAR WAS NOT ON. ON MY WAY TO WORK LIGHT REMAINED ON FOR THE ENTIRE RIDE ON THE HIGHWAY. GOT TO WORK LIGHT REMAINED ON WHEN CAR WAS CUT OFF. LEAVING FOR WORK LIGHT WENT OFF AND NOW WILL NOT COME BACK ON AT ALL.
WE BOUGHT OUR 2014 CHEVY IMPALA LTZ MARCH 2018. THE BACK TRUNK AREA WHERE SPARE TIRE IS HAS FILLED WITH WATER MULTIPLE TIMES LEADING TO MOLD WE HAVE BREATHED IN. WE HAVE TO KEEP CLEANING AND EMPTYING WATER OUT TO TRY AND KILL THE MOLD. THIS IS AWFUL. WE ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES MANY COMPLAINTS WITH BAD TAIL LIGHT GASKETS. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL!!! GM SHOULD HAVE TO REPLACE AT NO COST TO THE CONSUMER. MOLD IS DANGEROUS AND CAN BE DEADLY.
THE TRUNK FILLS UP WITH WATER EVERY TIME IT RAINS. UP TO A GALLON OF WATER COLLECTS IN THE SPARE TIRE AREA WITH ALL OF THE CARPETED AREA BECOMING WET.
I HAVE A LEAK IN THE TRUNK THAT CHEVY SENT OUT CUSTOMER ACTION ON BUT THEY LEFT MY CAR OUT OF THIS RECALL. THE TAIL LAMP GASKET WAS NOT INSTALLED PROPERLY AND THE DEALER ARE TO FIX THIS PER LETTER. THE LETTER EXPIRED IN 2016 BUT I WAS NEVER INFORMED. I STARTED GETTING WATER IN THE TRUNK TOOK IT IN AND THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME TELLING ME ITS A VERY COMMON OCCURENCE ON THIS VEHICLE.
SIDE MIRROR BLIND SPOT ALERT SYSTEM HAS FAILED FOR THE THIRD TIME. I HAD REPLACED IT TWICE SO FAR COSTING $400 EACH TIME. IT SAYS THE SYSTEM NEEDS " MAINTANENCE"
SIDE DETECTION SYSTEM CAUSE ELECTRICAL ISSUES WITH VEHICLE .. THE VEHICLE SPEEDOMETER STOPPED WORKING RPMS STOPPED WORKING.. CAR AIR CONDITIONING TURNED OFF ON ITS OWN, VARIOUS LIGHTS ON THE FRONT ' TURN ON AND OFF ON THEIR OWN
SIDE DETECTION SYSTEM FAILED. WILL NOT WORK ON LEFT SIDE. DEALERSHIP SAID WAS CORRODED WIRES AND MODGUAL WOULD NEED TO REPLACED. ($1,100). SAFETY ISSUE AND MIGHT HAVE A ELECTRIC BURNING ISSUE.

TAKATA RECALL PROBLEM WHEN SUNROOF SHADE NOT WORKING. CAN NOT OPEN SUNROOF SHADE
ON THE MORNING OF MONDAY JANUARY 29, 2018, I WAS DRIVING IN A SCHOOL ZONE AT 20MPH AND ALL OF A SUDDEN I HEAR A POP SO LOUD THAT IT SOUNDED LIKE A GUN SHOT. I LOOK BACK THROUGH THE REAR VIEW MIRROR AND THE BACK GLASS IS COMPLETELY SHATTERED! THERE WERE NO CARS BEHIND ME OR BESIDE ME AS THERE WAS NO TRAFFIC IT'S HIGHLY UNLIKELY SOMETHING HIT THE GLASS. I HAD JUST DROPPED OFF MY KIDS AT SCHOOL AND THEY COULD HAVE BEEN STILL IN THE BACK SEAT WHEN THIS HAPPENED AND IT COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH WORSE. THIS SEEMS TO ME TO BE A DEFECT IN THE WINDOW OR DEFROSTER.
I WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE HAD MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE AND THE CAR ACCELERATED QUICKLY. EVEN WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE I COULDN'T STOP IT. THE CAR SLAMMED INTO A STONE PILLAR.
POWER STEERING VERY HARD TO TURN, SEEMS TO STICK WHEN TURNED ALL THE WAY LEFT OR RIGHT, MECHANIC SAID RACK (?) AND POWER STEERING PUMP NEED TO BE REPLACED. MAKES NOISES AND LEAKS POWER STEERING FLUID
