My 2016 Silverado automatic vehicle has approximately 88,000 miles and the transmission needs replaced. It will not shift gears. This transmission should not need replaced after only 88,000 miles.

I [XXX] purchased a vehicle by trade-in from Augusta Mitsubishi on Tuesday 6/20/2023. Upon further review of the contract, I noticed some things that were not right. 1. They had the vehicle I traded as a Chrysler 200 but I gave them a 2001 GMC Sierra. 2. On the retail purchase agreement, the color of the truck I purchased is gray but it is black. 3. It seems as if the numbers were manipulated to suit the deal. I also had the truck diagnosed and they found a number of issues such as the brakes and rotors were worn. The biggest issue was that the lug studs had been cut which is a major safety issue. In light of everything in this letter, I feel that the dealership should be held accountable, which is why I'm asking that they pay off the truck and send me the title, refund my down payment, and pay for the repair cost. The air conditioning system is faulty as ac condenser is cracked and released freon. I was in south Florida with no ac. I've seen class action suits against GMC, as this is a known issue. Why can't this be fixed by them and not pass costs on to the owners ? Thanks [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Truck was revving while driving down the highway, would jump up and down gears while driving down the highway, started making a high pitched whirring noise, and when pulling out of my driveway onto a busy street, stopped moving in the middle of the street. The truck wouldn't go into any gear whether it was Reverse, Drive, Neutral or any of the Manual gears. Two police officers pushed my vehicle off of the busy road onto a side street. No lights came on the dashboard to warn of any problems. I have had the truck towed to a transmission shop for repairs. Research shows that there are many complaints about this issue in this particle vehicle. Please research this problem.

Car Key FOB. While driving down the highway my driver side door lock opened. I pushed the button down and continued to drive. Within a few minutes the button popped open again, again I pushed it down. This continued off and on until I got to my destination. I Googled my problem and finally found an answer that fit my issue and corrected the problem. Apparently the FOB button with certain FOB's sticks and makes intermittent contact with the open car door button. Removing the FOB battery solves this issue. Risk, car door can unlock at any moment resulting in a safety problem. Documented by Google searches and reports, and my own experience but my issue has not been inspected by anyone. I'm sure if I replace the battery in my FOB the issue will continue. No warning lights, just the sound of the door unlocking while driving or stationary.

2016 Chevrolet Silverado High Country Crew Cab Standard Box A/C Condenser (GM Part Number 84802253) has cracked and failed at approximately 80,000 miles, resulting in (GM Part Number 12356150) refrigerant leaking to atmosphere. The affect component is very similar to the TSB 17336 from GM on like vehicles. There were no warnings or indicators that signaled that this component had failed. This component was inspected by a certified Manufacture dealer and found to be faulty, therefore, releasing harmful refrigerant into the atmosphere.

ON FEB 26 I HAD MY REGULAR OIL CHANGE DONE ALONG WITH 27 VEHICLE INSPECTION, 2 WEEKS LATER ON SAT MARCH 13 DID A QUICK ERRAND AND CAME BACK HOME, A LITTLE AFTER I NOTICED CARAMEL FLUID UNDER MY TRUCK, WHEN I OPEN THE HOOD I AUTOMATIC SAW A LEAK COMING OUT OF THE RESERVOIR SO I OPENED IT AND NOTICE THE SAME CARAMEL FLUID INSIDE AND I KNEW IT'S WASN'T A GOOD SIGN. I TOOK MY TRUCK BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP ON MONDAY MARCH 15, AFTER THEY INSPECTED IT I WAS TOLD THEIR WAS AN INTERNAL BREAK IN THE RADIATOR AND THAT'S WHAT CAUSE THE CARAMEL FLUID ACCORDING TO THEIR TECHNICIAN. DEALERSHIP CONTACT MY EXTENDED WARRANTY AND THEY ARE REPAIRING AND COVERING MOST OF THE COST WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE HOSES CAUSE THEY ARE NOT COVERED. HOSES ARE NOT BROKEN OR HAVE ANY HOLES THEY'RE REPLACING THEM CAUSE THEY CAUGHT CONTAMINATED BECAUSE OF THE INTERNAL BREAK. DON'T SEE WHY I SHOULD E RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DIFFERENCE OF $800

I'M HAVING THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED IN A 2016 SILVERADO! I'M 61 YEARS OLD AND TAKE CARE OF MY VEHICLES. AFTER READING CAR BLOGS, I SEE THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME THING! THE TRUCK JERKS SO VIOLENTLY THAT I'M AFRAID I'VE BEEN HIT BY ANOTHER CAR OR THAT I MAY MOVE FORWARD AND HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE. THIS IS RIDICULOUS THAT GM IS AWARE OF THIS AND HAVE NOT FIXED THIS ISSUE. I WORK HARD FOR MY MONEY AND DO NOT FEEL THAT I SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS REPLACEMENT. PLEASE HELP!

A/C CONDENSER FAILURE: AS I LIVE IN A CLIMATE THAT EXPERIENCES SNOW AND BELOW-FREEZING TEMPERATURES MORE OFTEN THAN 80 DEGREE DAYS, I ONLY US MY AIR CONDITIONING MAYBE 5 MONTHS OF THE YEAR. I WENT TO USE MY A/C THIS SUMMER AND REALIZED IT WAS BLOWING WARM AIR. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND DECIDED TO JUST ADD MORE R-134A WITH DYE TO TROUBLESHOOT THE PROBLEM. I FOUND USING A UV FLASHLIGHT THAT THE A/C CONDENSER HAS A PRETTY LARGE CRACK IN IT IN THE SAME LOCATION AS ON THE CHEVY SUBURBAN'S AND TAHOE'S. IT IS VISIBLE THROUGH THE GRILL TOWARDS THE DRIVERS SIDE. AS THE QUOTE FOR THE JOB AT THE DEALERSHIP IS WELL OVER $500, I DECIDED TO JUST ROLL MY WINDOWS DOWN ALL SUMMER AND REPLACE THE A/C CONDENSER MYSELF OVER THE WINTER. I AM CURRENTLY GATHERING MY PARTS TO DO SO. APPARENTLY IT IS A 4-6 HOUR JOB, BUT ASIDE FROM PLOWING, SCHOOL, AND WORK, I SHOULD BE ABLE TO EVENTUALLY GET IT DONE. THIS IS FRUSTRATING THAT A (AT THE TIME) 4 YEAR-OLD VEHICLE HAS SO MANY DEFECTS THAT I WILL EVENTUALLY HAVE SUNK $5K+ INTO FOR UNCOMMON REPAIRS ON A 100K MILE, 4 YEAR-OLD TRUCK.
