ABS FAILS ON UNEVEN SURFACES, SUCH AS WASHBOARD ROADS AND WHEN HITTING BUMPS DURING BRAKING. ABS PERFORM POORLY IN MOST CONDITIONS, INCLUDING DRY PAVEMENT. THEY DO PROVIDE SOME BENEFIT ON SNOW/ICE. HOWEVER, MY ABS HAS NOW FAILED AND OVERALL BRAKING PERFORMANCE IS BETTER. THIS SYSTEM, AND THE LOGIC IN THE CONTROLLER, NEED SIGNIFICANT CHANGES. *JB

CONSUMER BELIEVES THERE IS A DESIGN FLAW WITH THE DISC BRAKE SYSTEM, CONSUMER STATES THAT IF THE BRAKES DRAG LONG ENOUGH THEY CAN GET HOT AND LOCK UP, HE BELIEVES THAT IF A SPRING IS INSTALLED INTO THE CALIPER THAT THIS WAS CEASE THE BRAKES FROM DRAGGING AND GETTING HOT WHICH THEN CAUSES THEM TO LOCK, CONSUMER STATES THAT HIS BRAKES DRAGGED, OVERHEATED AND THEN LOCKED UP, HE THEN INSTALLED A SPRING INTO THE CALIPERS WHICH PREVENTED THE BRAKES FROM DRAGGING AGAIN.*JB

CONSUMER HAD A NEW ABS SYSTEM INSTALLED. THEN, BEFORE GETTING ON HIGHWAY STATE TROOPER STOPPED CONSUMER, AND INFORMED THEM THAT THEY NEED TO PUT CHAINS ON TIRES DUE TO SNOW. SOON AFTER, WHEN TRYING TO SLOW DOWN WHILE GOING DOWN A HILL ABS WENT OUT. DEALER WAS CONTACTED, THEY NOTED THAT ABS WON'T WORK WITH CHAINS ON TIRES. *AK
ONE THREE OCCASIONS WHEN BRAKES WERE APPLIED PEDAL WENT TO FLOOR, CAUSING EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE, AND RESULTING IN A COLLISION. DEALER HAS INSPECTED VEHICLE, AND COULD NOT DUPLICATE OR CORRECT PROBLEM.*AK CONSUMER STATES MASTER CYLINDER WAS CHECKED BY TWO DIFFERENT MECHANICS AND COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG, ON THE ADVICE OF CONUMER'S MECHANIC, THE MASTER CYLINDER WAS REPLACED AND THERE HAS BEEN NO FURTHER PROBLEMS. *JB
WHILE TRAVELING 40-45 MPH HAD TO BRAKE SUDDENLY AND BRAKES MADE AN ELECTRICAL VIBRATING HIGH PITCHED NOISE. SEVERAL OCCURRENCES HAPPENED DURING WET OR SNOWY WEATHER. DID NOT TAKE VEHICLE TO DEALER BECAUSE BRAKES WORKED FINE MOST OF THE TIME. *AK
WHEN DEPRESSING THE BRAKES WHEELS LOCKED UP. DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED AND REPAIRS PERFORMED, BUT PROBLEM HAS RETURNED. ALSO HAD TO REPLACED BRAKE SHOES ON THE REAR AXLE BECAUSE THE RIGHT REAR BRAKE SHOE WAS BURNT FROM OVER HEATING. *AK *ML
WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED HARD THE PEDAL WAS NORMAL. HOWEVER, VEHICLE EXPERIENCED EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE WHICH RESULTED IN A COLLISION. *AK

CONSUMER WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 25MPH ON HIGHWAY AND SHE WAS APPROACHING A INTERSECTION, WENT TO APPLY THE BRAKES, AND BRAKES DIDN'T RESPOND. VEHICLE DIDN'T STOP AT ALL. ABS BRAKING SYSTEM DIDN'T KICK IN FOR THREE MINUTES, AND THE BRAKING SYSTEM DIDN'T RESPOND WITH A LOW SPEED. *AK
WHILE TRAVELING ON ROUGH ROADS AND WHEN DEPRESSING BRAKES THERE WAS EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE . DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION.*AK
WHILE DRIVING AT A APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH AND BRAKES ARE HIT, VEHICLE STARTS TO VIOLENTLY SHIFT TO THE LEFT. BRAKES/CALIPERS, AND ANTI-LOCK BRAKE VALVES HAVE BEEN REPLACED. ALSO, ROTORS WERE TURNED BY DEALERSHIP AT CONSUMER'S EXPENSE. MANUFACTURER HAS A SHOP BULLETIN ISSUE TO DEALERSHIP FOR REMEDY OF PROBLEM, BUT PROBLEM STILL OCCURS. THERE HAS NOT BEEN A RECALLE ISSUED. THIS DEFECT DOES NOT ALLOW CONSUMER TO STOP APPROPRIATELY, AND CAN CAUSE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. *AK BRAKE HOSES FAILED. BRAKE FLUID WAS OUT AGAIN AFTER REPLACING IT. *YH
