ABS BRAKES; WHEN APPLYING BRAKES IN WET WEATHER, PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AND BRAKES FAILED TO STOP THE VEHICLE. *AK
FRONT DISC BRAKES DO NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY. I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE IN MAY 1997. APPROXIMATELY 6 MONTHS AFTER DRIVING THIS VEHICLE I STARTED NOTICING FRONT DISC BRAKE PROBLEMS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO GUNDERSON CHEVROLET WERE THEY "GRINDED" AND LUBED FRONT "KNUCKLES?" . PROBLEM CONTINUED AND CONSISITS OF "JERKY" AND "CLUNKY" FRONT BRAKES. VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN TO A PRIVATE REPAIR SHOP WERE FRONT DISC PADS WERE REPLACED AND FRONT ROTOR WERE TURNED DUE TO WARPING. VEHICLE CONTINUES TO EXHIBIT A "JERKY" BRAKING MOTION WHICH IS ANNOYING AND COULD POSSIBLY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT DUE TO IMPROPER BRAKING. I BELIEVE THAT THIS FRONT BRAKE SYSTEM IS VERY POORLY DESIGNED AND WOULD EXPECT THAT GMAC SHOULD REPAIR THIS $35,000 VEHICLE WHICH SHOULD HAVE A RELIABLE AND SMOOTH FRONT BRAKING SYSTEM.( DOT NUMBER: TIRE SIZE: 235/75/15 )
CONSUMER WAS TRAVELING AT 15 MPH AND APPLYING THE BRAKES, ABS KICKED IN AND THE CONSUMER REAR ENDED THE OTHER VEHICLE. *AK
INTERMITTENTLY WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED THE PEDAL GOES TO THE FLOOR, RESULTING IN EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. THE DEALER HAS REPAIRED THE VEHICLE SEVERAL TIMES. *AK
POOR DESIGN OF RUBBER COVER ON THE BRAKE PEDAL CAME OFF CAUSING DRIVER'S FOOT TO SLIP TO THE FLOOR RESULTING IN A REAR END COLLISION. *YC
WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED AND GOING OVER RAILROAD TRACKS AND ROUGH ROADS AND GRAVEL, VEHICLE DIDN'T STOP, CAUSING CONSUMER TO REAR END ANOTHER VEHICLE. *AK
WHEN APPLYING ABS BRAKES ON DRY PAVEMENT, THEY LOCKED UP, CAUSING EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE, SND RESULTING IN A COLLISION. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES, DURING A NORMAL STOP, THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AND THE TRUCK DID NOT STOP. DRIVER USED BOTH FEET TO STOP THE TRUCK AFTER DRIVING ONTO THE SHOULDER. DEALER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. 6 SETS OF BRAKES HAVE BEEN PUT ON THIS VEHICLE IN 2 YEARS. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
VEHICLE EXPERIENCING ONGOING PROBLEM WITH BOTH FRONT ROTORS OVERHEATING, AND CAUSING ROTORS TO WARP. DEALER/MANUFACTURER NOTIFIED. *AK
ROTORS FAILED CAUSING VIBRATION.
I AM CONSTANTLY HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE BRAKING SYSTEM ON MY TAHOE. I HAVE HAD A SCRAPING SOUND WHEN I FIRST START OUT IN THE MORNING, AND ALSO A SHAKE WHEN BRAKING, I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER WHERE I BOUGHT IT TWO TIMES, AND HE HAS REPLACED THE PADS, AND THEN THE DRUMS AND ROTORS. HE SAID THAT THE FACTORY ROTORS WERE NO GOOD BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T BE TURNED SO HE INSTALLED AFTER MARKET ROTORS AND DRUMS.THE SECOND TIME. THE BRAKES WORKED FINE FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS AND THEN BEGUN DOING THE SAME THING AGAIN. *AK
3RD SET OF BRAKES IN 29,000 MILES. TOTAL BRAKE FAILURE, CLOSE CALL TO HITTING CAR IN FRONT OF ME. COULD NOT STOP, BRAKE PEDAL ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. GM & DEALERSHIP HAVE BEEN NO ASSISTANCE IN GETTING PROBLEM RESOLVED.
WHEN THE BRAKES ARE APPLIED PEDAL GOES PARTIALLY TO THE FLOOR AND THE VEHICLE VIBRATES. THE DEALER HAS INSPECTED THE VEHICLE SEVERAL TIMES, AND THE AND THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED. *AK
FRONT & REAR BRAKE PADS FAILED FOUR TIMES. *YC
FRONT BRAKE PADS WORE OUT CAUSING DAMAGE TO ROTORS. YH
REAR DRUMS ON BOTH WHEELS MALFUNCTIONED, BOTH WHERE REPLACED BY DEALER, DRUMS WHERE OUT-OF-ROUND. *YC
WHEN TAKING TRUCK IN FOR SERVICE WITH 20,000 THE BRAKE PADS WERE SHOT AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. *AK
FRONT BRAKE ROTORS ARE WARPED, CAUSING THE BRAKE PADS TO WEAR DOWN QUICKLY, AND WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED THE VEHICLE VIBRATES AND SHAKES . DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. *AK
THE CONSUMER HAS BEEN EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH ANTI-LOCK BRAKES. WHE APPLIED BRAKES, THEY WENT TO THE FLOORBOARD. IT WAS HARD FOR THE CONSUMER TO STOP VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. *AK
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE ABOUT 35 MPH AND WHEN STEPPING ON THE BRAKE PEDAL TO STOP VEHICLE, THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. ALSO, WHEN RAINING CONSUMER HAS TROUBLE STOPPING AND LOSES CONTROL OF VEHICLE SOMETIMES.AKCONSUMER STATED FRONT AND BACK BRAKES WERE REPLACED TWICE.*JB
BRAKE FAILED WHILE DRIVING AT 45 MPH CAUSING THE DRIVER TO RUN A STOP LIGHT.
