TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS WOULD NOT ILLUMINATE WHEN THE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS WERE ACTIVATED. THE ONLY TIME HE WAS ABLE TO SEE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS WAS WHEN THE SUN SHINED ON THEM DIRECTLY. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, BUT THEY COULD NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. THE MANUFACTURER ALSO STATED THAT THEY COULD NOT ASSIST BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WAS DESIGNED IN THAT MANNER; HOWEVER, THE DESIGN WAS CHANGED ON THE 2008 VEHICLES. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 9,090 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 5.UPDATE 09/10/08 *CW UPDATED 09/17/08. *JB
CAR BATTERY DIES IF NOT DRIVEN ON DAILY BASIS. DEALERSHIP HAS ATTEMPTED TO FIND SOURCE OF DRAIN 5 TIMES. RECALL HAS BEEN DONE ON KEYLESS ENTRY, BATTERY HAS BEEN REPLACED AND DVD PLAYER HAS BEEN REPLACED. PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. *TR
2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE INSTRUMENT PANEL DEFECT. CUSTOMER STATES THAT SHE COULD NOT SEE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL IN THE DAYLIGHT. *KB THE CONSUMER WAS UNABLE TO READ ANY OF THE SMALLER GAUGES LET ALONE THE SPEEDOMETER. IT WAS SUGGESTED TO THE CONSUMER, TO TURN THE LIGHT SWITCH TO PERMANENTLY ON AND NOT USE THE AUTO FUNCTION. THE CONSUMER STATED THERE WASN'T TOO MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE. THE CONSUMER STATED THE MATERIAL COLORS BESIDE AND AROUND THE INSTRUMENTS WERE JUST TOO DARK FOR DAY LIGHT CONDITIONS. *JB
VEHICLE WILL NOT HOLD PROGRAMS, I.E., AUTOMATIC SEAT POSITIONS, READ OUT ON THE MESSAGE CENTER, ETC. ALSO, IF USING THE RADIO WITHOUT THE ENGINE RUNNING, BATTERY GOES COMPLETELY DEAD IN ABOUT 30 MIN. DEALER COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG AFTER THREE HOURS OF INSPECTIONS, EVEN THOUGH THE BATTERY DRAINED. *JB
TL*- THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE ,AND FROM THE TIME HE PURCHASE THE VEHICLE THE CONTACT HAD A DIFFICULTY READING THE INSTRUMENT PANEL DURING THE DAY. THE BACKGROUND MADE IT DIFFICULT TO READ. WHETHER THE VEHICLE IS ON OR OFF ONE STILL COULD NOT READ THE SPEED ODOMETER. HE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, AND SPOKE WITH GM, AND THEY STATED IT COULD NOT BE REPAIRED. *AK UPDATED 03/30/07. *JB
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS OR WHILE PARKED, THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER PANEL WAS POORLY VISIBLE DURING THE DAYTIME. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE ALERTED, AND DETERMINED THIS WAS THE WAY THE VEHICLE WAS DESIGNED.
THE HEATER FAN DOES NOT RUN WHEN I AUTOMATICALLY START THE VEHICLE WITH MY REMOTE STARTER/KEYFOB. WHAT GOOD IS IT TO START YOUR VEHICLE TO WARM IT UP IF THE FAN DOESN'T START UP TO DEFROST YOUR WINDSHIELD? THE GM REMOTE STARTER WAS INSTALLED AND PROGRAMMED BY THE DEALER AFTER PURCHASE. WHEN IT WAS CHECKED, THE FAN RAN AND THEN DIDN'T . I GOT IT TO RUN ONLY IF I AM 3 FEET AWAY AND START THE VEHICLE (OR SITTING IN IT) TOO FUNNY, I GUESS AT THAT POINT I MAY AS WELL USE THE KEY!@ *JB
