TAKATA RECALL NO ONE CAN ANSWER MY QUESTIONS. CASE REFERENCE: NHTSA 1153284 1. GM HAD 2+ YEARS TO INVESTIGATE THE AIRBAG THEY PUT IN MY VEHICLE. MY QUESTION IS: WHY NHTSA WOULD ALLOW THEM A TIME EXTENSION UNTIL THE END OF THE YEAR 2017. THEIR TIME TO INVESTIGATE WAS GRANTED AN EXTENSION BY NHTSA AS PER MY CALL TO NHTSA 2. AS THE AIR BAG ON MY CAR HAS NEVER BEEN DEPLOYED IN THE 10 YEARS OF OWNERSHIP (CONTAINS ORIGINAL AIRBAGS INSTALLED IN THE GM JANESVILLE WI PLANT, NEVER TOUCHED INTERNALLY AS THE STEERING WHEEL HAS NOT BEEN REMOVED OR THE DASHBOARD TAKEN APART ). MY QUESTION IS: THE TK HOLDINGS CARD STATES: "IF YOUR VEHICLE CONTAINS A DEFECTIVE OR POTENTIALLY DEFECTIVE AIRBAG INFLATOR AND IS UNDER RECALL, CONTACT YOUR NEAREST DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY TO SCHEDULE A FREE REPAIR." WHEN DEALER WAS CONTACTED, HE IS STILL WAITING FOR GM TO FINISH THE INVESTIGATION AND CAN NOT REPLACE THE AIRBAG UNDER THE RECALL. WHICH IS TRUE? WILL RESULTS HAPPEN BEFORE THE DECEMBER 27, 2017 DATE WHERE I MAY BE ABLE TO INCLUDE MYSELF AS A "WILL SUFFER" (AS I DO NOT KNOW THE OUTCOME OF A ACCIDENTAL INCIDENT IN ADVANCE OF YOUR 12/27/17 DATE TO FILE A CLAIM). OBSERVATION: THIS SOUNDS LIKE THE CLASSIC CASE OF THE GOVERNMENTAL LEFT HAND NOT KNOWING WHAT THE GOVERNMENTAL RIGHT HAND IS DOING! ATTENTION NHTSA: I THINK SOMEONE SHOULD CALL ME AS TO COMPLETION OF THE RECALL THAT GM IS DRAGGING THEIR FEET OVER. 724-654-0270 NO RESPONSE TO MY INQUIRY CONFIRMS TO ME THAT YOU ARE JUST AS MUCH AT FAULT AS GM OR TAKATA IN THE PERPETUATION OF THIS RECALL AND/OR INVESTIGATION.
TAKATA INFLATORS THERE IS A RECALL ON THE AIRBAGS IN MY CAR BUT CHEVY HAS NOT MADE AVAILABLE A SUBSITUTE FOR MY TYPE OF VEHICLE AIRBAG YET? NOTHING HAS HAPPENED TO MY VEHICLE YET, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHEN THEY WILL BE REPLACING THE AIRBAG IN MY TAHOE TO MAKE IT SAFE.
TAKATA RECALL GM WAS GRANTED A PETITION FOR DEFERRAL TO INVESTIGATE AIRBAGS ON MY 2008 CHEVROLET TAHOE. PER GM'S OWN WEBSITE HIS PETITION EXPIRED IN SEPTEMBER 2017. AS OF TODAY 26 OCTOBER 2017, GM HAS APPARENTLY NOT TAKEN ACTION ON THIS ISSUE.
TAKATA RECALL: GM ANNOUNCED THE RECALL FOR THE TAKATA AIRBAGS ON OUR 2008 CHEVROLET TAHOE ON MAY 27, 2016. I HAVE CALLED THE DEALER THREE TIMES SINCE THIS RECALL WAS ANNOUNCED AND THEY SAY THEY HAVE NO GUIDANCE OR PARTS FROM GM YET.ONE AND A HALF YEARS LATER AND THEY STILL HAVE NO REMEDY? HONDA ALREADY HAS PARTS FOR THEIR TAKATA AIR BAG RECALL AVAILABLE AT THE DEALER. GM SHOULD BE TAKEN TO TASK FOR HAVING NO REMEDY AFTER THIS LENGTH OF TIME. THEY SHOULD AT THE VERY LEAST REMOVE THESE DANGEROUS AIR BAGS FROM OUR CARS IMMEDIATELY.
TAKATA RECALL. I HAVE CONTACT THE NEAREST CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP TO CORRECT THE ISSUE. AT THIS TIME NO REMEDY TO THIS RECALL HAS BEEN SENT DOWN TO THE DEALERSHIPS.

THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL, NEED AIRBAG REPLACED BEFORE SOMEONE IS INJURED. I AM CURRENTLY PREGNANT.
I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO DEALER WHEN THE AIRBAG SERVICE LIGHT CAME ON. THEY CHECKED AND SAID MY VEHICLE WAS NOT ON THE RECALL LIST. THEY CHARGED ME TO REPAIR THE AIRBAG. THIS HAPPEN WITH THE PASSENGER SIDE FIRST , THEN ONE MONTH LATER THE SERVICE LIGHT FOR THE AIRBAG CAME ON AGAIN . THEY NOW STATED IT WAS FOR THE DRIVERS SIDE. $822.00**

TAKATA INFLATORS I WENT TO NATIONAL CITY, RON BAKER CHEVROLET FOR THIS MATTER AND DEALER SHIP SAID THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A RECALL DIDNT WANT TO REPLACE MY AIRBAGS. PRETTY MUCH MY VEHICLE I CANT SELL BECAUSE OF THIS I A VEHICLE DEFECTED
RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE IN JULY OF 2016 AND CALLED DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX THE PROBLEM. CALLED AGAIN IN JUNE 2017 AND DEALER STATED SAME NO REPLACEMENT AT THIS TIME. RECEIVED A NOTICE 11/9/17 AND STATING THAT THE RECALL IS STILL ACTIVE AND NEED TO REGISTER WITH TK RESTRUCTURING SO I CAN FILE A CLAIM IF SOMETHING WERE TO HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE IF MY AIRBAGS FAIL. I WANT MY VEHICLE FIXED NOW! I SHOULD NOT WORRY WHILE DRIVING IF THEY WILL DEPLOY AND KILL ME OR A FAMILY MEMBER. THE MANUFACTURER OF THE AIRBAGS AND GM SHOULD BE HELD LIABLE AND REMEDY THIS SITUATION YESTERDAY!!!!! NHTSA RECALL # IS 16V383, GM RECALL #49152
"TAKATA RECALL" CAR DEALER WONT TAKE MY VEHICLE FOR A TRADE IN BECAUSE THERE IS A PENDING RECALL BEEN WAITING FOR PARTS SINCE MAY 2016. CALLED GM, THEY SAY VEHICLE IS SAFE TO DRIVE, BUT NOT SAFE TO TRADE IN.

TAKATA RECALL - I HAVE RECEIVED A RECALL FOR THE AIRBAGS IN MY VEHICLE. THIS WAS FIRST BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION IN JULY OF 2016. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE BECAUSE GM IS WAITING ON TAKATA. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS RECALL AND IT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED NOW.
