Hit a road sign at 45mph - airbags did not deploy.
The contact owned a 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while driving on a winding road during a rainstorm at 15 MPH, she briefly lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway, coming to a complete stop after colliding with a tree. The impact of the collision was severe that the front passenger side wheel became detached. The air bags did not deploy. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, who had yet to determine why the air bags did not deploy, however, the contact was informed that the vehicle may be deemed a total loss by her insurance provider. A police report was not filed, but minor injuries were reported, which the contact attributed to the fact that the air bags did not deploy. The contact sustained a small bruise on her chin and a contusion across her chest, but did not seek medical treatment immediately following the accident. Surprisingly enough, the chest contusion had yet to heal 2 weeks after the injury was sustained. Alarmed, the contact consulted her primary care physician, who then scheduled an X-ray for a later date. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

FRONT DRIVER SIDE HIT AT 35-40 MPH WHILE TAHOE MOVING AT 7 MPH. SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE INCLUDING DESTROYING CARS FRAME. NOT A SINGLE AIRBAG DEPLOYED. NO SEATBELT LOCK UPS. DRIVER HIT HEAD ON STEERING WHEEL CAUSING INJURIES.
I WAS HIT I ENTERED AN INTERSECTION BY A LARGE SEMI/GRAVEL TRUCK THAT I DID NOT SEE BECAUSE THERE WAS A SEMI ON THE OTHER SIDE CLOSER TO ME AND GOING SLOWER. IT HIT MY LEFT FRONT DRIVER SIDE HARD ENOUGH TO SPIN MY CAR ACROSS 2 LANES WITH A LOT OF DAMAGE. MY AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. I HIT MY HEAD ALONG WITH OTHER BRUISING. I AM WORRIED THAT THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AND DO NOT WANT THIS TO HAPPEN TO SOMEONE ELSE. I AM WORRIED THAT IF IT HAD BEEN CLOSER TO THE CAB I WOULD NOT BE ALIVE. *TR
