I GOT A ENGINE SERVICE LIGHT ON. THE CODE CAME UP AS P2119. IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY WAS DEFECTIVE AND REPLACED. AND IT NEEDED TO HAVE THE COMPUTER RE-DOWN LOADED. THIS IS THE SECOND THROTTLE BODY I HAVE HAD INSTALLED.I HAVE HAD THIS VEHICILE SINCE IT WAS NEW.

DUE TO THE COST OF THE REPAIR, THE CONTACT DID NOT HAVE THE VEHICLE REPAIRED. IN JANUARY OF 2017, THE CONTACT RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTIFICATION. THE DEALER (NORTHGATE FORD) WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE THREE TIMES SINCE THE RECALL, AND STATED THAT THE PARTS WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED OR MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 66,615. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.

EVERYONE WE FILL UP THE FUEL TANK THE CAR FILLLS UP WITH GAS FUMES MAKING ANYONE IN THE CAR NAUSEOUS. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR ABOUT 2 YEARS AND I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERAHIP AT LEAST 3 TIMES BEFORE THE RECALL AND I HAVE TAKEN IT ONCE MORE SINCE THE RECALL BUT ALL I AM TOLD IS THAT THEY DONT HAVE ANY FIX FOR IT YET. THIS IS A DANGER TO ME AND MY KIDS AND THIS NEED TO BE FIXED IMMEDIATELY.
THE RECALL REMEDY HAS STILL NOT BEEN PROVIDED ON POSSIBLE FUEL LEAKS THAT COULD CAUSE A FIRE.
2ND THROTTLE BODY SCENSOR TO FAIL AGAIN!! IN MOTION LOSING POWER, I KNOW BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN THRU THIS 3 TIMES NOW.
TAKATA RECALL AFTER FUELING THE VEHICLE, THE "CHECK ENGINE LIGHT" ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE THEN STALLED AND JERKED AFTER CRANKING THE ENGINE AND STALLED OUT WHILE STILL. AFTER DIAGNOSING THE ISSUE, IT WAS CITED THE CAR HAS A "GROSS VACUUM LEAK" INDICATING THAT THE "EASY FUEL" GAS FLAP IS NOT SHUTTING PROPERLY. THIS SEEMS TO BE AN ISSUE FOR MOST FORD ESCAPE OWNERS AND EVEN OTHER FORD OWNERS THAT HAVE THE "EASY FUEL" SYSTEM. THE SUGGESTED SOLUTION BY MOST DEALERS AND TECHNICIANS IS TO EVENTUALLY REPLACE THE FUEL FILL PUMP, HOWEVER THE REPAIR SEEMS TO BE PRETTY COSTLY FOR AN ISSUE IMPACTING OWNERS BASED ON A FAULTY "EASY FUEL" SYSTEM.

VEHICLE IDLED ROUGHLY. AT A LIGHT, VEHICLE IDLED ROUGHLY, DASHBOARD WRENCH ICON LIGHT UP, AND ENGINE STALLED. THIS HAPPENED TWICE. WAS ABLE TO START AGAIN AND DRIVE TO DEALER. DEALER DETERMINED IT WAS THROTTLE BODY AND REPLACED IT.
FUEL INLET LIGHT IS ON. THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM WITH FORD. I NEED IT FIXED.
