rear back up camera fails intermittently, blue screen says camera not available.
The contact owns a 2016 Ford Escape. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, she noticed the back over prevention feature was inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and confirmed that the back over prevention feature was inoperable. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure had occurred several years ago. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
Backup rearview camera unavailable during parking while backing in.
APIM is currently inoperative - no rear camera view. No power to the unit.
APIM MODULE SHUTS DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING CAUSING GPS, RADIO, BACK UP CAMERA AND REST OF DASH TO GO BLACK
Rear view camera doesn't always work when putting the car in reverse. It doesn't go blank, the monitor just remains as if it was going forward. Sometimes when it does work, it remains on while moving forward momentarily.
