BEGAN TO HEAR A SLIGHT TICKING OF WHAT APPEARED TO BE A SLIGHT EXHAUST LEAK. WITHIN A MATTER OF A MINUTE OR TWO IT GOT LOUD, THEN THERE WAS A POP. THE REAR SPARK PLUG ON THE PASSENGER SIDE BLEW COMPLETELY OUT OF THE MOTOR. I PULLED OVER AND WAS IN NEED OF A TOW. THE MECHANIC HAD TO PUT SOME SORT OF INSERT IN THE HEAD TO FIX THE HOLE. *JB
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH ON NORMAL ROAD CONDITIONS THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE STARTED WOBBLING. THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED OVER TO CHECK THE ENGINE AND ONE OF THE SPARK PLUGS WAS PUFF- PUFFING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP WHO DETERMINED THE SPARK PLUGS DISLODGED AND DECLARED THAT ALL 1999 FORD F250 MODELS PRESENTED THE SAME DEFECT. THE DEALERSHIP HAD NOT RECEIVED THE SOLUTION FROM THE MANUFACTURER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DRIVABLE SINCE THE INCIDENT.
I SIMPLY PULLED OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY HEARD A LOUD POP THE TRUCK STARTED MISSING VERY BAD. LOOKED UNDER THE HOOD TO FIND THE #4 PLUG HAD BLOWN OUT. IF IT HAD HIT THE FUEL RAIL VERY HARD MY MECHANIC SAID IT COULD HAD RUPTURED AND CAUSED A FIRE. AFTER LOOKING ONLINE I FOUND THIS A FLAW IN MOTOR HEAD DESIGN BY FORD MAY TRUCK IS NOW IN THE SHOP. THIS IS MY SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED IN 8 WEEKS. *NM
1999 F250 SPARK PLUG BLEW OUT OF THE HEAD. *TS THE COIL THAT WAS BOLTED TO THE HEAD WAS HELPING TO HOLD THE PLUG IN THE HOLE, WHICH WAS A MANUFACTURING DESIGN FLAW OR A CASTING FLAW. *JB

DT: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING THE SPARK PLUG BLEW OUT OF THE ENGINE. THE TRUCK WAS TOWED TO A DEALER AND REPAIRED. NEITHER THE DEALER OR THE MANUFACTURER WERE CONTACTED.*AK
THE ALUMINUM HEAD WAS CRACKED ON THE ENGINE, WHICH THREW THE SPARK PLUGS OUT AND CAUSED THE ENGINE NOT TO OPERATE. MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN CONTACTED BY CONSUMER. *JB
THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT APPEARED ON THE DASHBOARD AND REMAINED ON. DRIVER TOOK VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, AND MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE PROBLEM COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. *AK
THE SPARK PLUG BLEW OUT THE CYLINDER HEAD WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN CAUSING THE ENGINE TO NOT OPERATE. THE OWNER WILL CONTACT MANUFACTURER. *JB
WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH VEHICLE LOST POWER. THE CAM SHAFT POSITION SENSOR MALFUNCTIONED. *AK
WHILE DRIVING 90 MPH ON WAY TO HOSPITAL VEHICLE STALLED TWICE. DEALER REPLACED 4 SENSORS, CAMSHAFT SENSOR WAS ONE OF THEM. *AK *TS
THE ENGINE DID NOT PERFORM AS DESIGNED.*JB
THE ENGINE SEIZED, DUE TO LACK OF OIL.*JB
ENGINE LEAKING OIL THROUGH HEAD GASKET. FOUR ATTEMPTS HAVE BEEN MADE TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM. PROBLEM BEGAN @ 17, 000 MILES. CURRENTLY VEHICLES HAS 67,000 MILES. FIRST ATTEMPT TOOK OVER 6 WEEKS TO COMPLETE. ALL OTHER ATTEMPTS TOOK 1 WEEK. ADDITIONAL PROBLEMS WITH CARBON BUILD UP IN THE ENGINE HAVE OCCURED INBETWEEN REPAIR ATTEMPS. ANY ATTEMPT TO CONTACT FORD TO ADDRESS THE PROBLEM WAS A DEAD END.

WHILE TRAVELING AT APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH ENGINE STALLED. CONSUMER NOTICED A LOSS OF POWER AND FUEL USAGE PRIOR TO THIS STALLING. DEALERSHIP REPLACED 2 ELECTRONIC SENSORS. THEN A FEW DAYS LATER, ENGINE STALLED AGAIN. DEALERSHIP HAS VEHICLE, AND HAS BEEN UNABLE TO DETERMINE CAUSE OF DEFECT. *AK
INNER COOLING PIPE IS SEPARATING FROM THE TURBO CHARGER, CAUSING LOSS OF POWER, CREATING A SAFETY ISSUE. FORD ISSUED SSM# 13706 FOR THIS DEFECT. *AK *SLC
