TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MASTER KEY FAILED TO FUNCTION PROPERLY WHEN ATTEMPTING TO LOCK AND UNLOCK THE VEHICLE. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CONSTANTLY HAD TO USE THE KEY FOB. ALSO, DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER BELOW 30 DEGREES, THE VEHICLE WAS EXTREMELY HESITANT. THE CONTACT HAD TO WAIT FOR A MOMENT TO ENSURE THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD START AND NOT SHUT OFF. THE CONTACT ALSO HEARD AN ABNORMAL NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE AREA. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES WAS UNKNOWN. SCHICKER FORD (3300 S KINGS HIGHWAY, ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI 63139, (314) 664-4100) WAS CONTACTED, BUT DID NOT DIAGNOSE THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE NOT AVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN STARTING THE VEHICLE, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FAILED TO FUNCTION. THE CONTACT THEN REPLACED A FUSE FOR THE INSTRUMENT PANEL HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED AFTER 24 HOURS. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
THROUGHOUT MY OWNERSHIP OF 2005 FORD FOCUS WAGON SES ZXW, I HAVE HAD PERIODIC ISSUES WITH THE REAR HATCH UNLATCHING ON ITS OWN. I WILL UNLATCH WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. SOMETIMES IT WILL UNLATCH WHEN DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL. ALTHOUGH IT WILL UNLATCH UPON THE START OF A TRIP AT SLOW SPEEDS AS WELL, IT HAS MOSTLY OCCURRED ON THE HIGHWAY. I HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE SINCE 2007. THE PROBLEM WOULD OCCUR PERIODICALLY 3-7 TIMES EVERY 1-1.5 YEARS SINCE THE 2008-2009. THE PROBLEM DEFINITELY OCCURS UNDER A DAMP AND MORNING DEW CONDITION. IT'S LIKE AN ELECTRICAL SHORT HAS OCCURRED I MY VEHICLE. THE LATCH STOPPED WORKING IN 2009 VIA THE PUSH BUTTON IN THE DASH AND EVEN WITH MY REMOTE KEY. I CHECKED THE FUSE PANEL ... AND IT WAS NOT BLOWN. THIS CONDITION MOSTLY OCCURS WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION.
ON MANY OCCASIONS THE REAR HATCH (ZXW WAGON) HAS OPENED ON ITS OWN. I'VE ALWAYS ASSUMED I MUST NOT HAVE CLOSED IT PROPERLY AS IT ALSO HAS NOT LATCHED ON MANY OCCASIONS WHEN CLOSING IT. SOMETIMES IT CAN TAKE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS, CLOSING IT FIRMLY. ONE THE MOST RECENT OCCASSION OF THE HATCH OPENING WHILE DRIVING OUR DOG WAS IN THE CAR BAG CARGO AREA, SO YOU CAN IMAGINE MY ANGER AT THE LATCH. ANOTHER ISSUE HAS BEEN THE LICENCE PLATE LIGHTS NOT ILLUMINATING THE PLATE AT NIGHT, WHICH HAS RESULTED IN A STOP BY AN OFFICER. YESTERDAY, MAY 18TH 2017, THE BATTERY LIGHT ILLUMINATED FOR ABOUT 2 MINUTES ON MY DRIVE HOME, THEN WENT OFF. WHEN I GOT HOME I PUT A METER ON THE BATTERY WHILE THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING AND GOT 12.04-12.7 VOLTS. WHILE SEARCHING YOUTUBE FOR SOME HOW-TO ALTERNATOR VIDEOS I STUMBLED ACROSS A VIDEO THAT SPOKE OF THE WIRING IN THE HATCH AREA. I REMOVED THE BOOT AND SURE ENOUGH, HALF OF THE WIRES HAD DAMAGED JACKETS AND A FEW WERE EXPOSED. I'VE MADE TEMPORARY REPAIRS AND AS NOW THE VOLTAGE READS 14.5 OR MORE WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING. ALSO, THE LICENSE PLATE LIGHTS ARE WORKING AGAIN. THIS REPAIR IS SURELY GOING TO BE TEMPORARY AT BEST AS I SIMPLY DO NOT HAVE THE FUNDS FOR A REPAIR FACILITY TO DO THE WORK AND I HAVE LIMITED RESOURCES. I COULD NOT SELL THE CAR WITH CLEAR CONSCIENCE WITHOUT DISCLOSING MY DISCOVERY WHICH SURELY MEANS MOST PEOPLE ARENT GOING TO WANT IT. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THERE WAS ANY RECALL FOR THIS, CONSIDERING IT COULD HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO CAUSE MANY MALFUNCTIONS IN THE VEHICLE'S SAFETY AS WELL THE SAFETY OF PASSENGERS, CARGO AND OTHER DRIVERS ON THE ROADWAY. THIS LATCH POPPING ISSUE HAS HAPPENED IN PRETTY MUCH EVERY CONDITION.....MY DRIVEWAY, IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD, THE HIGHWAY ETC.
TAKATA RECALL CAR RANDOMLY SHUTS OFF BUT RADIO IS STILL ON AT STOP LIGHT. I PUT IT ON NUETRAL AND IT STARTS BACK UP NO PROBLEM.

WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND BROKE DOWN. CAR TOWED TO GARAGE AND ALTERNATOR REPLACED ALONG WITH THE BATTERY. THE CAR RAN FINE FOR ABOUT 1 WEEK WHERE AFTER TURNING THE CAR OFF IT WOULDN'T START AGAIN. AGAIN HAD IT TOWED TO THE GARAGE AND THE BATTERY NEEDED TO BE CHANGED. A WEEK LATER THE CAR DID IT AGAIN AND AGAIN THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED. I TOOK THE CARD TO MY FORD DEALERSHIP AND HAD AN ELECTRICAL CHECK DONE AND THE ELECTRICAL TEST CAME BACK THAT THE BATTERY THAT WAS JUST PUT IT WAS LOW AND THE ALTERNATOR HAD TESTED FINE. CHANGED THE BATTERY AGAIN..YUP YOU GUESSED IT...IT DIED AGAIN. CHANGED THE BATTERY AGAIN AND THE CAR HAS NOW BEEN RUNNING FOR 2 WEEKS NOW. CALLED FORD'S HOME OFFICE AND FILED A COMPLAINT NOT THAT IT WILL DO ANYTHING. *TR
I'VE HAD THIS 05 FORD FOCUS FOR LESS THAN A YEAR AND HAD SEVERAL PROBLEMS, ALL RESOLVED BUT THIS ONE. I WAS TAKING MY 4 YEAR OLD AND AUTISTIC 13 YEAR OLD STEP CHILDREN TO THE PARK LAST MONDAY AND MY CAR STARTED GOING HAYWIRE. IT WOULD LOSE AND GAIN POWER IN INTERVALS AND ALL OF THE DASH CLUSTER STOPPED WORKING. THE CAR LOST POWER AND DIED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WITH NO CARS IN SIGHT. ENDED UP HAVING TO WALK ALMOST 3 MILES WITH THEM BEFORE WE FINALLY SAW SOMEONE NICE ENOUGH TO GIVE US A RIDE. SINCE THEN THE CAR HAS DRAINED AND RUINED 3 BATTERIES AND TWO ALTERNATORS. MY DASH LIGHTS ARE NOW STAYING ON WITH NO KEY IN THE IGNITION AND BATTERIES KEEP GETTING DRAINED. THERE'S ALSO A CHIRP I'M ASSUMING SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE SECURITY SYSTEM OR THE WIRING HARNESS ON THE ALTERNATOR OR DASH. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET THE CAR OUT OF PARK FOR 6 DAYS AND IT IS/WAS MY ONLY MODE OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THESE TWO CHILDREN. I'M FINDING IT VERY DIFFICULT TO GET THINGS DONE WITH SUCH AN UNRELIABLE CAR. THIS PROBLEM IS STILL NOT RESOLVED. *TR
CAR STARTED NORMALLY. DASHBOARD LIGHTS CAME ON AS USUAL. LIGHTS WENT OUT IN SEQUENCE AS USUAL. NORMAL DRIVING STARTED WITH NO ABNORMAL DASHBOARD DISPLAY. MOMENTS LATER ALL DASHBOARD LIGHT STARTED FLASHING OFF AND ON ERATICALLY. THERE WAS NO EFFECT ON DRIVING THAT COULD BE DISCERNED. ALL THE CAR HANDLING FEATURES SEEMED NORMAL. AS DRIVING CONTINUED SOME OR ALL OF THE DASH LIGHTS WOULD COME ON AND OFF ERATICALLY. THE ONLY LIGHT THAT STAYED ON WHEN THE REST WENT OUT WAS THE ENGINE SYMBOL LIGHT. THE FUEL GAUGE ALSO INDICATED NO-FUEL ERATICALLY. *TR
DRIVING ON ROUTE 209 APPROXIMATELY 40 MILES AN HOUR. I NOTICED WHITE SMOKE COMING THROUGH THE DASH. IMMEDIATELY PULLED THE CAR OVER, PUT THE CAR IN PARK, REMOVED THE KEY, AND GOT OUT OF THE CAR. WITH NO KEY IN THE IGNITION THE STARTER BEGAN TURNING OVER. I DIDN'T HAVE ANY TOOLS TO UNHOOK THE BATTERY. THE STARTER TURNED OVER FOR ABOUT A MINUTE, THEN THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS, HEADLIGHTS, AND HORN ALL BEGAN ACTIVATING. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED MY MECHANIC FOR EMERGENCY ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE. AFTER ABOUT 4 MINUTES OF THE WIPERS HEAD LIGHTS AND HORN ALL ACTIVATING WITH NO KEY IN THE IGNITION, SOMEONE STOPPED AND HAD SOME TOOLS UNHOOK THE BATTERY.MECHANIC SHOWED UP ABOUT FIVE MINUTES LATER, HAD THE CAR TOWED TO HIS SHOP, AND BEGAN SEARCHING FOR THE PROBLEM. AFTER REMOVING THE DASH PANELS HE SAYS THAT THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH COST A SHORTWHICH MELTED ALL THE WIRES TOGETHERUNDER THE DASH AND GOING BACK TO THE TAIL LIGHTS.HE SAYS IT IS DUE TO THE SMALL WIRES THAT FORD USES AND THEY'RE HARNESSES AND THE WAY THEY TWIST THEM TOGETHER SO THEY WILL FIT INTO THE SMALL PLASTIC TUBE UNDER THE DASH. I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO FIND A RECALL TO ATTACH THIS PROBLEM TOO. HOWEVER I REALLY THINK FORD SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THESE DAMAGES. I'M CONSIDERING THIS CAR A TOTAL LOSS. *TR

THE BRAKE LIGHTS STOPPED WORKING AND IT CAUSED THE GEAR SHIFT TO BECOME STUCK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO DETERMINED THAT THE DESIGN OF THE WIRING HARNESS WAS TOO SHORT AND WHEN IT WAS STRETCHED THE WIRES CAUSED THE FAILURE TO OCCUR. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 110,000. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH WITH THE HEADLIGHTS IN OPERATION, THE HEADLIGHTS AND INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS BECAME EXTREMELY DIM. THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESTART. A CERTIFIED MECHANIC INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR. THE FAILURE WAS CONTRIBUTED TO A FAULTY LIFTGATE WIRING HARNESS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 176,000. UPDATED 08/15/13*LJ
I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE NEW IN 2005. WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR AND A HALF I STARTED NOTICING THAT THE DASH LIGHTS WOULD ILLUMINATE WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, NO KEYS IN THE IGNITION. THE ABS AND BATTERY LIGHT WOULD FLICKER ON AND OFF ACCOMPANIED BY A BUZZING SOUND. THE WIRELESS REMOTES STOPPED WORKING AS WELL. I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO FORD AS IT WAS STILL WITHIN THE THREE YEAR/36,000 MILE WARRANTY PERIOD. THEY SAID THAT THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THEY RE-PROGRAMMED THE WIRELESS REMOTES. AFTER THIS THE PROBLEM CONTINUED WITH THE FLICKERING LIGHTS AND BUZZING SOUND AND ALSO THE WIRELESS REMOTES STOPPED WORKING. I RETURNED THE VEHICLE TO FORD AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THE DASH LIGHTS WERE MALFUNCTIONING AND THEY WOULD HAVE TO OPEN UP THE DASH, THEY QUOTED ME $700 JUST TO OPEN UP AND DIAGNOSE PLUS THE LABOR CHARGES FOR WHATEVER THE PROBLEM WAS. THIS WAS RIGHT AFTER THE THE YEAR/36,000 MILE WARRANTY PERIOD WAS OVER. I MENTIONED THAT I HAD BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE VERY SAME REASON WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS UNDER WARRANTY BUT THEY COULD NOT FIND THE PROBLEM. FORD SAID THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY. FORD DID NOT FIX THIS ISSUE AND ALSO SAID THAT THE WIRELESS REMOTES COULD NOT BE REPROGRAMMED. IN THE YEARS SINCE THE INITIAL PROBLEM, I HAVE HAD TO PUT IN TWO NEW ALTERNATORS. THE DASH LIGHTS FLICKER ALMOST CONTINUOUSLY. THE DASH DISPLAY (SPEEDOMETER, ODOMETER, ETC.) HAS COMPLETELY CUT OUT WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE SEVERAL TIME. THE VEHICLE STILL OPERATES BUT LOSES POWER WHEN THE DASH CUTS OUT. WHEN THE DASH DISPLAY CUTS OUT YOU ARE DRIVING WITHOUT A GAS GAUGE, SPEEDOMETER, ETC. WHEN THE DASH LIGHTS COME BACK ON, THERE IS A "HICCUP" OR POWER SURGE ACCOMPANIED BY THE SAME BUZZING SOUND THAT OCCURS WHEN THE DASH LIGHTS ARE FLICKERING WHEN THE VEHICLE IS PARKED. *TR
PURCHASED THE CAR NEW, HAVE HAD TO HAVE ALTERNATOR AND BATTERY REPLACED 3 TIMES NOW. EVERY TIME IT GOES OUT WITHOUT WARNING AND IN MOST CASES ON THE HIGHWAY OR IN HEAVY CITY TRAFFIC. I ALMOST COULDN'T STOP NOR STEER THE CAR SAFELY AWAY FROM THE ROAD. EACH OCCURRENCE HAS COST ME 500.00 USD FROM TOWING, PARTS, AND LABOR. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR AND LOCKING ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE CURRENT AND THE FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 92,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CONSTANTLY ILLUMINATED CAUSING MULTIPLE FAILURES WITH THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE WAS WITHIN THE ELECTRICAL PART OF THE VEHICLE INCLUDING THE SOLENOID, TRANSMISSION, VALVE BODY AND THE SAFETY SWITCH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHO PERFORMED A DIAGNOSTIC TEST BUT DID NOT DIAGNOSE A DEFINITE SOLUTION FOR THE REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THERE WERE NO RECALLS OR WARRANTIES ON THE VEHICLE AND OFFERED NO OTHER ASSISTANCE. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000 AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 43,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE KEY BECAME LOCKED IN THE IGNITION AND WOULD NOT ALLOW HER TO START THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND THEY ADVISED HER TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGES WERE APPROXIMATELY 80,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH ALL OF THE WARNING LIGHTS WOULD FLASH ON THE DASH BOARD AND THE VEHICLE STALLED, NEARLY CAUSING A CRASH. THE CONTACT DROVE ONTO THE EMERGENCY LANE AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE WITHIN FOUR MINUTES. AFTER RESTARTING THE VEHICLE, THE IDENTICAL FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER WHO PERFORMED A DIAGNOSTIC TEST WHICH DID NOT IDENTIFY OR DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THE FAILURE OCCURRED FOUR TIMES PRIOR TO TAKING THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 77,000.
INTERMITTENTLY KEYS GET STUCK IN IGNITION, AFTER A FEW DAYS THEY USUALLY COME OUT MAY BE WEEKS OR MONTHS BEFORE IT HAPPENS AGAIN, WHILE DRIVING I HEAR A CLICKING NOISE, LIGHTS IN THE DASHBOARD AND ALL THE GAUGE LIGHTS START FLICKERING, IF YOU SHUT OFF THE CAR IT WILL NOT START AGAIN AND LOSE ALL POWER, NO LIGHTS, LOCKS ANYTHING POWER SHUTS DOWN, I HAVE BEEN STRANDED DUE TO THIS PROBLEM. HAVE ALREADY HAD SOME WIRES REPLACED, PROBLEM STILL CONTINUES ..WHEN IT HAPPENS THE CAR STARTS TO HESITATE, VERY DANGEROUS IF ON AN INTERSTATE OR GOING THROUGH AN INTERSECTION..CAR IS BACK IN THE SHOP AGAIN FOR THIS ISSUE, ONLY 54000 MILES ON THE CAR...EVEN WHEN I GET IT BACK FROM SHOP THIS TIME AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR, I WAS TOLD IT WAS FIXED LAST TIME, WHO IS TO SAY THAT IT IS TRULY FIXED THIS TIME, DON'T WANT TO BE STRANDED OR IN AN ACCIDENT. *TR
AN ELECTRICAL SHORT IN THE REAR WIRING HARNESS IN THE LIFTGATE HAS CAUSED THE REAR DEFROST, THE REAR WIPER AND THE HIGH-MOUNT REAR BRAKE LIGHT TO ALL FAIL, CONCURRENTLY. THE DEALERSHIP HAS COMMENTED THAT THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH ZX3 FORD FOCUS MODEL AND WAS AS RECALLED SERVICE ISSUE ON A PRIOR MODEL YEAR. IT WAS ALSO CAUTIONED BY THE TECH THAT FIRE COULD RESULT. *TR

THE FAILURE WAS EXPERIENCED NUMEROUS TIMES AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER IN 2005 BUT THE DEALER DID NOT REPLACE THE IGNITION SWITCH. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS SCHEDULED TO HAVE DIAGNOSTICS PERFORMED AT THE LOCAL DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,500 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 54,000.
2005 FORD FOCUS STATION WAGON REAR HATCH: THE WIRES THAT GO TO THE HATCH (NEAR THE TOP) ARE TOO SHORT AND SO WEAK THAT AFTER 26,000 MILES THE WIRES BROKE AND DUE TO THIS BREAK/SHORT THE CAR WOULD NOT GO OUT OF "PARK". THE BRAKE LIGHTS QUIT WORKING AND IT BLOWS ONE FUSE AFTER ANOTHER FUSE. DUE TO THE WIRES BEING SO SHORT IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO REPAIR THE BREAKS. THIS APPEARS TO BE A VERY COMMON PROBLEM FROM WHAT I SEE ON THE INTERNET. FORD SHOULD BE LIABLE FOR THESE REPAIRS. *TR
WAS DRIVING 45 ON A BUSY ROAD AND ALL THE LIGHTS ON DASHBOARD FLICKERED AND THE CAR WENT DEAD AND HAD TO DRIFT OFF ONTO A MEDIAN. HAD 2 PEOPLE LOOK AT THE CAR AND FOUND THAT THERE WAS THE 20 AMP FUSE OUT. WENT TO GET ANOTHER ONE WE MADE SURE ALL THE WIRES WERE ATTACHED AND NOTHING WAS LOOSE, WE TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL A BIT AND WITH THE NEW FUSE IN THE CAR STARTED, AS WE TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL THE CAR STALLED AGAIN. WENT BACK TO THE STORE BOUGHT 2 MORE FUSES AND GOT THE CAR STARTED DROVE 1 MILE AND IT STALLED AGAIN. TRIED THE 3RD FUSE AND NOTHING. HAD TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED TO LOCAL GARAGE 20 MILES AWAY FROM WHERE IT STALLED. THE GARAGE STATES THAT THE ISSUE IS IN THE DASHBOARD AND THEY HAVE TO TAKE IT TO FORD TO HAVE IT TESTED TO FIND THE ISSUE. COST WILL BE ANYWHERE BETWEEN $400 TO $1000 TO FIX DEPENDING ON WHAT THEY FIND WITH THE TEST. GOT THE CALL FROM THE GARAGE IT IS GOING TO BE FIXED FOR $500. MONEY WE DO NOT HAVE FOR BAD WIRING THAT IS NOT OUR FAULT! FORD NEEDS TO STEP UP AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY BECAUSE THIS SEEMS TO BE AN ISSUE! *KB

DRIVING AT 50KM/H, ABS AND BRAKE LIGHTS COME ON, SHORTLY AFTER ALL ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS SHUT DOWN, INCLUDING POWER STEERING, FRONT LIGHTS, GAUGES...EVERYTHING. ENGINES CONTINUES TO RUN, WHEN THE VEHICLE SLOW TO ALMOST IDLE, ENGINES STOPS. UNABLE TO RESTART, NO IGNITION NO SIGN OF LIFE WHATSOEVER. WAITED 20MIN, WAS ABLE TO START ENGINE, ELECTRICAL CAME BACK AND DROVE FOR 5MIN BEFORE SAME THING HAPPENED. DEALER IDENTIFIED A FAULTY ALTERNATOR, CAR HAS 135000KM. *TR
