THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT CALLED CUTTER FORD AT (808) 564-9777 (LOCATED AT 98-015 KAMEHAMEHA HWY, AIEA, HI 96701) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. TAKATA RECALL , I HAVE BEEN CONTACTED ABOUT THE RECALL SEVERAL TIMES ABOUT THIS RECALL AND HOW THEY ARE WORKING ON GETTING THE PARTS TO REPLACE MY AIR BAGS WITH NO ETA. WHEN WILL I GET THE LETTER SAYING BRING IT IN AND WE'LL FIX OUR MISTAKE. I FEAR EVERY TIME SOMEONE ASKS ME FOR A RIDE I HAVE TO SAY NO, OR SIT IN THE REAR WHERE IT'S SAFER. TAKATA RECALL: IT HAS BEEN (2) YEARS SINCE I WAS FIRST NOTIFIED ABOUT THE NEED TO HAVE THE AIRBAG(S) REPLACED. I AM AWARE THAT MILLIONS OF VEHICLES ARE AFFECTED. BUT AFTER TWO YEARS, MILLION OF NEW VEHICLES WITH AIR BAGS HAVE BEEN PRODUCED. YET AN AIRBAG FOR THIS RECALL IS YET PRODUCED? NHTSA, PLEASE DO YOUR JOB AND GET IT DONE!! "TAKATA RECALL". IN JUNE OF 2012 I PURCHASED A 2011 FORD FUSION. APPROXIMATELY JULY OF 2013 I WAS NOTIFIED BY FORD THAT MY VEHICLE HAD A RECALL ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. MY VEHICLE WAS TO BE FIX WHEN PARTS WERE AVAILABLE. APPROXIMATELY ONE YEAR LATER I CALLED FORD TO FIND OUT WHY MY VEHICLE WAS NOT FIXED. I WAS TOLD BECAUSE I LIVED IN A COLD CLIENT (MASSACHUSETTS) THAT MY VEHICLE WOULD BE ONE OF THE LAST VEHICLE TO BE FIXED WHEN PARTS BECAME AVAILABLE. THEY ALSO TOLD ME NO ONE WAS TO SIT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE BECAUSE THEY COULD BE SERIOUSLY INJURED IF THE AIRBAG EXPLODED. MY WIFE WHO IS 75 YEARS OLD A CANCER SURVIVOR HAS SAT IN THE BACK SEAT SINCE 2013. BECAUSE OF HER AGE AND HEALTH PROBLEMS SHE CAN NO LONGER SIT IN THE BACK SEAT. I HAVE CONTACT FORD SEVERAL TIME TO TELL THEM OF THIS PROBLEM. FOR RELIEF IN 2018 THEY ALLOWED ME A RENTAL CAR. APPROXIMATELY, 2 MONTHS LATER I WAS CONTACTED BY THE RENTAL AGENCY AND INFORMED ME THAT FORD WOULD NO LONGER PAY FOR THE RENTAL VEHICLE BECAUSE I SIGNED THEIR FORM AND ADDED (I DIDN'T GIVE UP MY RIGHT TO LEGAL ACTIONS BY SIGNING THIS FORM). BECAUSE I REFUSED TO GIVE UP MY LEGAL RIGHT THEY STOPPED THE RENTAL VEHICLE. FORD CASE NUMBER CAS-15314662 WAS ASSIGNED TO MY CASE AND I HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING SINCE. MY WIFE AND MYSELF WHO ARE ELDER BOTH FEEL THIS TIMEFRAME IS RIDICULOUSLY LONG AND HAS CAUSES US MUCH DISCOMFORT, ANXIETY AND OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES WHEN WE WANT TO TRAVEL TOGETHER WE HAD TO TAKE SEPARATE VEHICLE OR BORROWED ONE OF OUR CHILDREN VEHICLE IN ORDER TO SIT COMFORTABLE AND BESIDE EACH OTHER.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA AIR BAGS HAVE BEEN WAITING SINCE FIRST RECALL JULY 2016 FOR THEM TO FIX AIRBAGS NOT ABLE TO LET ANYONE SIT IN FRONT SEAT, HAVE CALLED FORD DEALERS SEVERAL TIMES WITH NO RESPONSE OTHER THAN WE HAVE NO REPLACEMENTS, ITS BEEN TWO YEARS AND NOTHING
TAKATA RECALL. THE ORIGINAL RECALL IS ALMOST 2 YEARS OLD AND THERE IS STILL NO REMEDY. I FEEL LIKE IT IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE THE CAR AND WAITING ALMOST 2 YEARS TO FIND A REMEDY IS UNACCEPTABLE.
TAKATA RECALL AT LEAST TWO YEARS AGO, I WAS NOTIFIED (VIA MAIL) OF THE TAKATA RECALL. I'VE CALLED AROUND TO THE LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIPS SEVERAL TIMES BUT WAS TOLD BY EACH THAT PARTS FOR THAT RECALL WASN'T AVAILABLE AND THEY WASN'T SURE WHEN THEY WILL HAVE THEM IN. ALSO, I'VE HAD THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL CAR 3 WEEKS PRIOR OF GETTING THE ONE I CURRENTLY HAVE DUE TO AN ACCIDENT WHERE NEITHER AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. THOUGH NOTHING HAS HAPPENED IN MY CURRENT VEHICLE, I FEAR THAT IF SOMETHING SHOULD HAPPEN, I CAN'T RELY ON THE SAFETY OF THE AIRBAGS TO PROTECT MY OCCUPANTS. I'VE TAKEN THE NECESSARY STEPS TO TRY AND HAVE THIS ISSUE RESOLVED AS SOON AS I CAN BUT IT'S IMPOSSIBLE IF THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. THE AIRBAG IS A VERY IMPORTANT ELEMENT ON THE CAR AND KNOWING THAT IT DOESN'T WORK SUFFICIENTLY, TERRIFIES ME EVERY TIME I DRIVE THE VEHICLE AND IT'S MY ONLY MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION.

TATAKA RECALL. ME AND MY WIFE TOOK OUR VEHICLE TO FUTURE FORD OF ROSEVILLE IN REGARDS TO THE TATAKA RECALL. THIS WAS ON AUGUST 6 2018. WE HAVE HAD A RENTAL EVER SINCE AND HAS BECOME QUITE FRUSTRATING. I AM ACTIVE MILITARY AND GETTING READY TO MOVE BASES BUT IT'S GOING TO BE DIFFICULT NOW BECAUSE I'M NOT ABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR IN QUESTION. THIS IS REDICULOUS. IF MY CAR IS THAT HARD TO FIX AND THAT UNSAFE TO DRIVE I FEEL THAT FORD NEEDS TO EITHER BUY OUR CAR BACK OR GET IT FIXED ASAP. IT'S CAUSED A HEADACHE FOR MY FAMILY AND BECOME ANOTHER ADDED STRESSOR.

WE HAVE HAD TWO BABIES SINCE THE RECALL AND NEED A LARGER VEHICLE TO TRANSPORT OUR FAMILY --WE CAN'T WAIT YEARS FOR RECALL PARTS AND STORE THIS VEHICLE WITH ZERO VALUE. THE VIN SEARCH ON YOUR HOMEPAGE DOESN'T WORK --I TRIED IT 8 TIMES AND IT'S NON FUNCTIONAL.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A SALVAGE YARD WHERE IT WAS DEEMED DESTROYED. THERE WAS ONE INJURY THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE CONTACT SUFFERED FROM SEVERE PAIN AND MULTIPLE BRUISES. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 16,000.

SINCE PREVIOUS NOTIFICATION, FROM FORD CORPORATION, OF A DEFECTIVE AIRBAG, I'VE BEEN TO METRO MOTORS DEALERSHIP, ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION, AND I WAS TOLD METRO MOTORS HASN'T RECEIVE ANY PARTS IN ORDER TO REPAIR OUR 2011 FORD FUSION (SPORT MODEL) DEFECTIVE PASSENGER (RIGHT SIDE) AIRBAG.
"TAKARTA RECALL": I RECEIVED WRITTEN NOTICE, FROM FORD CORPORATION, THAT OUR VEHICLE WAS ON THE RECALL LIST, DUE TO OUR VIN NUMBER, REGARDING A DEFECTIVE AIRBAG. IT AS SUBSEQUENTLY CONFIRMED AT ST. CROIX, V.I.'S FORD DEALERSHIP, VIA COMPUTER PRINT-OUT THAT OUR CAR WAS ON THE RECALL LIST BUT THE DEALERSHIP RECEIVE NO PARTS FOR REPAIR.

THEY ALSO GAVE ME NO TIMELINE ON WHEN THEY WOULD START REPAIRS OR GET THE PARTS. RENTAL CAR RECEIVED: 7/27 CALLED FOR UPDATE: 8/16 -STILL NO TIMELINE ON WHEN THEY WOULD START REPAIRS OR GET THE PARTS. THEY SAID MAYBE SOMETIME IN SEPTEMBER BUT NOTHING FOR SURE CALLED FOR UPDATE: 9/18 -STILL NO TIMELINE ON WHEN THEY WOULD START REPAIRS OR GET PARTS CALLED FOR UPDATE: 9/25 -STILL NO TIMELINE ON WHEN THEY WOULD START REPAIRS OR GET PARTS PROBLEMS: -I HAVE WORKED HARD TO BUY MYSELF A CAR THAT DOESN'T WORK DUE TO THINGS THAT ARE NOT MY FAULT AND ARE NOT BEING FIXED BY THE COMPANY -I AM MAKING PAYMENTS ON A CAR THAT I CANNOT DRIVE (PURCHASE AND INSURANCE PAYMENTS) -CAUSING MY UNNECESSARY STRESS ON TOP OF COLLEGE AND WORK -EXTRA CAR IS TAKING UP SPACE AT HOUSE WITH LIMITED PARKING -FEEL UNABLE TO GO ANYWHERE WITH THE RENTAL CAR DUE TO STRESS ABOUT MINOR DAMAGES THAT I WILL BE CHARGED FOR THAT I WOULDN'T NEED TO WORRY ABOUT IF I HAD MY OWN CAR -THE RECALL WAS ISSUED THREE MONTHS AGO AND THERE IS NO PROGRESS OR IDEA WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE

I'VE BEEN TRYING TO HAVE THIS RECALL FIXED SINCE THE RECALL CAME OUT IN 2016; HOWEVER, ALL OF THE DEALERSHIPS IN/AROUND LAFAYETTE, LA (WITHIN 30 MILES) SAY THAT THEY STILL DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX THIS ON THESE RECALLS YET.
TAKATA RECALL: CONTACTED MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND FORD MOTOR COMPANY HAS NOT ISSUED ANY PARTS FOR A RECALL REPAIR. THERE HAS BEEN NO INCIDENT YET. HOWEVER, THE REPAIRS ARE NOT SCHEDULED AND THEIR ARE NO PARTS AVAILABLE TO MAKE A REPAIR.
