TAKATA RECALL I HAVE BEEN WAITING OVER 11 MONTHS SINCE BEING INFORMED THAT MY VEHICLE HAS A DEFECTIVE AIRBAG VIA A MAILED NOTICE FROM FORD. THE RECALL STILL INDICATES "REMEDY NOT AVAILABLE". HOW LONG AM I SUPPOSED TO WAIT TO HAVE WHAT IS BEING DESCRIBED AS A FRAGMENTATION GRENADE IN MY DASHBOARD REPLACED ? I DON'T BELIEVE FORD IS DOING DUE DILIGENCE ON THIS I'VE BEEN WORRIED ABOUT THIS ISSUE FOR OVER 11 MONTHS, WHICH I THINK IS LONG ENOUGH. IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO ?

TAKATA RECALL = WAS INFORMED TO HAVE PASSENGER AIRBAG REPLACED AT DEALERSHIP FREE OF CHARGE. WHEN CONTACTING DEALERSHIP, THEY CONTINUE TO TELL ME THAT REPLACEMENT PARTS HAVE NOT BEEN MADE AVAILABLE AND TO CALL TK HOLDINGS. TK HOLDINGS TOLL FREE NUMBER ONLY GIVES INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO FILE AN ELECTRONIC CLAIM AS A RESULT OF DEATH OR INJURY. ALSO CONTACTED NHTSA TOLL FREE LINE AND THEY TOO ONLY PROVIDE INFO ON FILING A CLAIM BEFORE DEADLINE DATE OF DEC 27. NO IS ABLE TO REPAIR MY VEHICLE, NOR TELL ANY KIND OF TIMEFRAME AS TO WHEN PARTS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR REPAIR. THIS IS QUITE STRESSFUL KNOWING ANY PASSENGERS IN MY VEHICLE IS AT RISK, YET NO ONE SEEMS TO BE MAKING ANY KIND OF ATTEMPT TO ASSIST ME!

TAKATA RECALL I HAVE A 2011 FORD RANGER , AND IN JULY 2016 I RECIEVED A LETTER SAYING THEIR IS A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE 16S26/NHTSA RECALL 16V-384. THIS RECALL SAYS THE AIR BAG IF DEPLOYED COULD CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. I CALLED FORD ON FEB.-28-2017, AND WAS TOLD THE SAME THING. I TOLD THEM I WOULD LIKE FORD TO GIVE ME A RENTAL TRUCK TO USE UNTIL THE PARTS COME IN , SINCE MY LOVED ONES ARE SETTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. I WAS ADVISED THAT THEY WOULD NOT GIVE ME A RENTAL TRUCK. I ASK FOR A SUPERVISER TO CALL. 3-1-2017 STACY CALLED AND LEFT A MESSAGE, 3-2-2017 AT 1:55P JASMINE CALLED AND LEFT MESSAGE SAYING NO PARTS AND DIDN'T MENTION RENTAL. THIS HAS GONE ON TOO LONG , PUTTING MY LOVED ONES IN DANGER, AND FORD IS STILL BUILDING TRUCKS WITH NEW AIRBAGS. FORD IS NOT BEING RESPONSIVE!!
