1994 HONDA ACCORD EX. POSSIBLE AIRBAG DEFECT. *TA THE CONSUMER DOES NOT FEEL SAFE IN HIS VEHICLE. *JB
I WAS INVOLVED IN A CAR ACCIDENT TRAVELING 35 MPH, WHERE I HIT THE PASSENGER SIDE OF ANOTHER VEHICLE WITH MY FRONT END. DURING THE IMPACT I RECALL MY BODY MOVING FORWARD, THE SEAT BELT RESTRAINING ME, AND MY HEAD CONTINUED TO MOVE FORWARD HITTING MY CHEST. DUE TO THE LATE DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIRBAG, THE IMPACT OF THE AIRBAG OCCURRED ON TOP OF MY HEAD. I WAS KNOCKED UNCONSCIOUS AND IT COMPLICATED THE INJURIES TO MY NECK AND HEAD. I ALSO RECEIVED AN AIRBAG BURN ON MY RIGHT WRIST FROM THE ESCAPING GAS FROM THE AIRBAG VENT. *TR
DT: ON SEPTEMBER 9, 2005 THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT WHILE DRIVING AT 35 MPH. . UPON IMPACT, AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. ANOTHER CAR ATTEMPTED TO TURN IN FRONT OF CONSUMER'S VEHICLE AND HIT IT ON THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A WHIPLASH FROM THE CRASH. VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. IT HAD TO BE TOWED. DEALER SAID THE AIR BAGS WOULD NOT WORK IF HIT ON THE SIDE. MANUFACTURER HAS NOT BEEN CONTACTED YET. THE POLICE CAME AND A REPORT WAS TAKEN. *AK
WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH CONSUMER'S VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL COLLISION. UPON IMPACT, BOTH FRONTAL AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. DRIVER SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES. VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A BODY SHOP FOR INSPECTION. *AK
WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL COLLISION, CONSUMER STATED THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY.*AK. CONSUMER STATED THE AIR BAGS DID DEPLOY AFTER THE VEHICLE CAME TO A STOP AND HER DAUGHTER WAS ALREADY OUT OF THE VEHICLE, WITH THE PASSENGER AIR BAG DEPLOYING FIRST, AND THEN THE DRIVER SIDE, CONSUMER STATED THE AIRBAG DID NOT FULLY INFLATE, THE VEHICLE WAS HIT ON THE DRIVER SIDE NOT THE PASSENGER SIDE AND, THE DRIVER SUFFERED INJURIES.*JB

CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN A 35 MPH FRONTAL COLLISION IN WHICH DRIVER AND PASSENGER AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, CAUSE UNKNOWN. *AK CONSUMER HIT GUARD RAIL HEAD ON, VEHICLE WAS TOTALED, ONE PERSON WAS INJURED. *SLC
AIRBAG LIGHT IS COMING ON. CONSUMER HAS AN APPOINTMENT ON MONDAY TO TAKE CAR IN. CONSUMER FEELS AIRBAG COULD DEPLOY AT ANY TIME.*AK
CONSUMER WAS ENTERING INTO AN INTERSECTION AND ANOTHER MOTORIST RAN RED LIGHT, HE WAS GOING STRAIGHT, AND RAN INTO CONSUMER'S VEHICLE. UPON IMPACT, AIRBAGS DIDN'T GO OFF. HONDA DEALERSHIP WAS AWARE OF ACCIDENT. *AK
THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED. A DRIVER GOING THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION RAN A RED LIGHT AND CRASHED HIS VEHICLE INTO THE FRONT END OF MY VEHICLE. ESTIMATED SPEED OF OTHER VEHICLE AT IMPACT WAS APPROXIMATELY 45 MILES PER HOUR (ACCORDING TO VERBAL REPORT OF INVESTIGATING POLICE OFFICER). NEITHER OF THE DUAL AIRBAGS DEPLOYED! *AK
VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED USED & HAD BEEN REPAIRED FROM A CRASH. AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY IN AUG99 CRASH. SUSPECT AIRBAGS WERE NEVER REPAIRED FROM FIRST CRASH AND DEALER THAT REPAIRED & SOLD VEHICLE MISREPRESENTATED AIRBAG STATUS. RULES, REGULATIONS, RECOURSE??? BODY SHOP THAT REPAIRED HONDA FROM AUG99 CRASH SAID "THE AIRBAGS IN THOSE HONDAS NEVER GO OFF". HE HAD A 99 ACCORD IN SHOPAT TIME THAT HAD THE ENTIRE FRONT END TORN OFF ($10K+) AND THE AIRBAGS HAD NEVER DEPLOYED??? BY THE SAMR TOKEN HE HAD A CHEVY WITH MINOR FRONT END DAMAGE FROM A CURB & ALL BAGS HAD DEPLOYED.???? BUT MY QUESTION IS: IF MY AIRBAGS WERE NEVER PROPERLY REPAIRED/REPLACED AFTER THE FIRST CRASH WHAT ARE RECOURSE/OPTIONS. WHAT DOES THE NHTSA REQUIRE. HAVE FULL DOCUMENTATION.?*AK
WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY ON ICY ROADS TRAVELLING ABOUT 50MPH, TRAFFIC IN FRONT WAS SLOWING DOWN BECAUSE OF A PATROL CAR WHICH WAS ASSISTING WITH AN ACCIDENT. VEHICLE IN FRONT OF THE CONSUMER SPUN OUT OF CONTROL AND A DIESEL TRUCK HIT THE CAR, CAUSING THAT CAR TO SPIN INTO THE RIGHT LANE WHERE THE CONSUMER'S VEHICLE WAS. CONSUMER APPLIED BRAKES AND SLID IN BETWEEN THE CAB AND BED AREA OF THE VEHICLE IN FRONT, AND NEITHER AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. *AK
WHEN TRAVELING 40 MPH CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN A HEAD-ON COLLISION. UPON IMPACT, DRIVER FRONT AND THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. CONSUMER HAS CONTACTED THE DEALER, DEALER UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
COMSUMER WAS IN A FRONT END COLLISION. HIT ANOTHER AUTOMOBILE FROM BEHIND, AND AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. CONSUMER WAS TRAVELING AT APPROX 25-30 MPH. TWO INJURIES WERE SUSTAINED. *AK
CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN TWO ACCIDENTS. ON BOTH OCCASIONS WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 20-30 MPH HIT A VEHICLE HEAD ON, DUAL AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY WHICH COULD HAVE CAUSED INJURIES. *AK
WHEN DRIVING AT 55 MPH, ANOTHER VEHICLE PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF THE CONSUMER AND THEY HIT HEAD-ON, CONSUMER APPLIED THE BRAKES, BUT THE BRAKES WENT STRAIGHT TO THE FLOORBOARD. ALSO, THE AIR BAGS ON BOTH SIDES DID'T DEPLOY, AND THE IMPACT STOPPED THE VEHICLE. *AK
NO DEPLOYMENT OF DRIVER'S AIR BAG DURING A COLLISION, RESULTING IN INJURIES TO DRIVER. ALSO VEHICLE WAS TOTALED.
WHEN TRAVELING ABOUT 50 MPH, VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A REAR END CRASH, AND THERE WAS NO DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIR BAGS. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. FRONT END DAMAGES TOTALED $7,000.00. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 50-55 MPH REARENDED A VEHICLE IN FRONT, DUAL AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, CAUSING FACE AND CHEST INJURIES. *AK
WHILE DRIVING 5 MPH DROVE OVER A HIG RISE MANHOLE HITTING TRANSMISSION CASE, CAUSING THE DEFECTIVE DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER'S AIRBAGS TO DEPLOY, CAUSING UNNESSARY INJURIES TO OCCUPANT. *AK
UPON IMPACT, DURING FRONTAL CRASH AT APPROX. 50MPH, 10:00 ON FRONT BUMPER, DUAL AIRBAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. *AK
DURING A FRONTAL IMPACT ACCIDENT. THE DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER'S SIDE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. *AK CONSUMER WAS INJURED IN ACCIDENT. *SLC
