Front air bag indicator light stays on while driving. Was replaced twice. And the problem is still going on. It's been four years since it's been replaced.
The contact owns a 2005 Honda Accord. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V320000 (Air Bags); however, the dealer refused to complete the recall and had not provided a reason for declining the recall repair. The passengers airbag light keeps on turning on and off
The contact owns a 2005 Honda Accord. Air bag indicator light is always on. Went to the Honda dealer (Auto NAtion Honda, Tucson) and was informed that there is a recall but the part was not available. So come back after the part. Came back today, and there was a new person, and was informed it wont be covered under the warranty, and needs to replace the driver's side seat belt wire harness and had to pay $235. There is a Safety Recall: Driver's Seat Position Sensor Harness Replacement service bulletin 07-002 for this wire harness but was informed does not cover my vehicle. I think this is the same issue, but why does not cover my vehicle? This is clearly Honda's fault.

My daughter was in a car accident 5/18/21 and totaled her car , airbags opened on sides and in seat but her steering wheel never opened . I have pictures of the car and even police officer , paramedic and tow guy said it seems strange that they did not open . She is very lucky to be ok but I am concerned that the steering wheel did not open . Maintenance was kept up on car along with inspections .
WE BROUGHT THIS IN TO BOTH VERN EIDE HONDA, SIOUX FALLS, SD AND BROOKDALE HONDA, BROOKLYN PARK, MN. IT HAS BEEN TAKEN CARE OF THIS IS NOT THE ORIGINAL AIRBAG AND THERE ARE NO RECALLS ON THE CURRENT AIRBAG. SOMEHOW THIS INVESTIGATION BY BOTH DEALERSHIPS HAS NOT BEEN RECORDED IN THE SYSTEM. OUR UNDERSTANDING FROM BROOKDALE HONDA IS THAT PHOTOS OF THE INSTALLED AIRBAG WERE SENT TO HONDA CORPORATE AND NOTHING NEEDED TO BE DONE FURTHER. WE CONTINUE TO RECEIVE NOTIFICATIONS GOING SO FAR AS TO RECEIVE THEM FROM THE DVS. PLEASE ASSIST. THE NUMBER AND FREQUENCY OF NOTIFICATION IS BECOMING ANNOYING SINCE THE CARE HAS BEEN IN TWICE TO HONDA FOR RECTIFICATION OF THE AIRBAG.
IT SAYS THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE AIRBAG, BUT THE MECHANICS ARE SAYING THAT THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE AIRBAG SYSTEM, BUT THEY CAN NOT GET THE AIRBAG LIGHT TO GO OFF.
DEALERSHIP FAILED TO PROPERLY INSTALL AIRBAG INFLATOR AFTER I RECIEVED A RECALL NOTICE. THEN PROCEEDED TO TELL ME THE SRS CODE THAT WAS SHOWING UP ON MY CAR AFTER INSTALLATION WAS THERE BEFORE SERVICE AND EVERYTHING WAS PROPERLY INSTALLED ON THEIR END.
AIRBAG DEPLOYED WHILE DRIVING AND CAUSED ACCIDENT. ACCORD REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE. THERE IS A RECALL ON THE AIRBAG OF THIS VEHICLE WITH OFFER TO REMEDY HOWEVER HONDA TOLD ME THEY WILL NOT HONOR THE RECALL AFTER THE FACT BECAUSE THE BAG ALREADY DEPLOYED. 4/13/2017 ACCIDENT IS RECORDED ON ILLINOIS MOTORIST REPORT #209078 FILED IN COOK COUNTY VIA SCHAUMBURG POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT# 17-07912. AIRBAG STILL HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED AS THE VEHICLE IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE DUE TO ANOTHER SAFETY RECALL NOT BEING HONORED - (FUEL PUMP ISSUE CAUSING VEHICLE TO STALL WHILE DRIVING).
AIRBAG LIGHT STAYS ON. ITS BEEN 2 MONTHS NOW. I FEAR FOR MINE AND MY CHILD'S LIFE WHEN SEEING IT. APPARENTLY A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE MADE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS BUT I CAN'T FIND ANY SPECIFIC RECALLS FOR IT. HOW DO I GO ABOUT THIS?
I DONT KNOW IF MY VEHICLE HAVE A AIR BAG RECALL BECAUSE ITS SAYING 0 UNREPAIRED AND I'M CONFUSED IF I HAVE A RECALL OR NOT ON MY AIRBAG
AIR BAG LIGHT IS CURRENTLY ON. LIGHT STAYS ON, ON THE DASHBOARD OF VEHICLE
2005 HONDA ACCORD. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE FRONTAL AIRBAGS SAFETY RECALLS. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED THERE HAVE BEEN TOO MANY RECALLS CONCERNING THE AIRBAGS. *JS
THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG LIGHT STAYS ON. THE DEALER WANTS TO CHARGE A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF MONEY TO "SEARCH EVERY WIRE ASSOCIATED" WITH THE AIR BAG SYSTEM. THIS WAS A PROBLEM WITH 2005'S MANUFACTURED 7/20/2004-10/8/2004 AND THEY WERE RECALLED. APPARENTLY, THE PROBLEM WAS NEVER FIXED AND MULTIPLE VEHICLE OWNERS HAVE REPORTED THIS. WHY HAS THE RECALL NOT BEEN EXTENDED TO ALL 2005'S? I FEAR FOR MY SAFETY EVERY TIME I DRIVE. I CAN'T AFFORD THE REPAIR NOR CAN I JUST GO BUY A NEW CAR!
THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT IS COMING ON AND WE FEEL IT IS DEFECTIVE OR RELATED TO THE RECALL.
TAKATA RECALL: I PURCHASED FROM INDIVIDUAL KNOWING IT WAS A SALVAGE VEHICLE. HOWEVER, DID NOT KNOW THE AIR BAGS HAD BEEN REMOVED. WHILE IT IS COVERED BY RECENT RECALL HONDA AMERICA WILL NOT AUTHORIZE REPAIR DUE TO MISSING PARTS. UNSAFE CONDITION!
WHILE SLOWING DOWN ON INTERSTATE HIGHWAY, VEHICLE RAMMED INTO VEHICLE IN FRONT OF IT. ALL THE DAMAGE WAS TO THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE AND THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVABLE AFTER THE COLLISION. DURING THE COLLISION THE PASSENGER AIR BAG DEPLOYED WHILE THE DRIVER'S AIR BAG FAILED TO DEPLOY. THERE WAS NO PASSENGER IN THE CAR.
TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS NO FAILURE EXPERIENCED WITH THE AIR BAGS UNTIL THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PER AN UNKNOWN RECALL REGARDING THE AIR BAGS. FIRST TEAM HONDA (3444 WESTERN BRANCH BLVD, CHESAPEAKE, VA 23321, (757) 337-6597) PERFORMED THE RECALL REPAIR AND THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED THAT, SHORTLY AFTER THE REPAIR, THE AIR BAG INDICATOR KEPT FLASHING. THE DEALER INDICATED THAT THE INDICATOR WOULD TURN OFF, BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE CONTACT FELT THAT THE RECALL REMEDY CAUSED A FAILURE THAT WAS NOT EXPERIENCED PRIOR TO THE REPAIR. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED TO BE DIAGNOSED AGAIN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL. MY DAUGHTER'S 2005 HONDA HYBRID'S AIRBAG INFLATORS HAVE NEVER BEEN REPLACED. WHEN I TYPE IN THE CAR'S VIN, NO OUTSTANDING ISSUES ARE LISTED. HOWEVER, WHEN I TYPE IN "2005 HONDA ACCORD HYBRID" AT THIS SITE, ISSUES WITH THE AIRBAGS ARE LISTED. WHY THE DISCREPANCY? WHY ARE AIRBAG ISSUES LISTED WHEN I TYPE IN THE YEAR MAKE AND MODEL, BUT NO ISSUES ARE LISTED WHEN I TYPE IN THE VIN? SHOULD I BE ABLE TO SEE WHEN THE ISSUES WERE PRESUMABLY CORRECTED?
THE SRS INDICATOR LIGHT COMES ON WHEN THE ENGINE IS STARTED AND REMAINS ON UNTIL THE ENGINE IS TURNED OFF. AS LONG AS THE ENGINE IS RUNNING THE LIGHT REMAINS ON WHETHER THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY, OR BEING DRIVEN.
"TAKATA RECALL" I HAVE HAD AN AIR BAG LIGHT ON FOR YEARS AND THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN DEPLOYED. EVERY TIME I CHECK FOR A RECALL AND MINE HAS NEVER HAD ONE, THEN WHY HAS MY AIRBAG LIGHT STAY ON?
