ALL DOORS LOCK, EXCEPT FOR REAR DOOR LOCK ON DRIVER'S SIDE, ENGAGES BUT SLOWLY REVERTS TO UNLOCKED POSITION, WHICH POSES SECURITY RISK TO LIFE (SELF, CHILDREN AND PETS) IN ADDITION TO UNSECURED PROPERTY... THIS IS AN ONGOING ISSUE AND THE SECOND TIME WE ENCOUNTERED PROBLEM, AND HAD TO REPLACE THE DRIVER'S DOOR LOCK (ACTUATOR) ABOUT TWO (2) YEARS AGO, AND SUSPECT THE THE REMAINING DOOR LOCKS WILL SOON FAIL AS WELL....??
2015 I RECEIVE A RECALL FOR THE DRIVERS DOOR LOCK AND I COMPLETED THAT BUT I NEED TO REPLACEMENT THE PASSENGER DOOR LOCK FOR THE SAME PROBLEM YOU CAN SEND ME A NEW RECALL FOR THAT?
PASSENGER POWER WINDOW NOT FUNCTIONING. WOULD NOT ROLL UP. WAS STICKING OFF AND ON FOR A LONG TIME. NOW COMPLETELY FAILED IN ROLLING BACK UP.
AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKS WILL UNLOCK ON ITS OWN WHILE DRIVING.
DIRECTION RELAY SWITCH IS ONLY AUDIBLE WHEN VEHICLE IS PARKED AND AT IDLE. ROAD NOISE DAMPENS THE SOUND OF THE DIRECTION RELAY AT MOST SPEEDS AND ROAD CONDITIONS. MANUFACTURE DOES NOT OFFER AN OPTIONAL DIRECTION RELAY WHICH COULD INCREASE THE DECIBELS OF THE RELAY. WHEN SOUND OF DIRECTIONAL RELAY DOES NOT CANCEL AFTER A LESS THAN 90 DEGREE TURN THEN CONTINUED FLASHING OF THE EXTERIOR DIRECTIONAL LIGHTS HAS CAUSED NEAR MISSES WITH OTHER VEHICLES.
MY HONDA CRV'S FRONT PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW WILL NOT GO UP. IT IS STUCK DOWN. IT FIRST IT WAS SLUGGISH AND NOW IT WON'T WORK AT ALL.
PASSENGER FRONT LOCK
FRONT PASSENGER DOOR LOCK MECHANISM FAILURE PREVENTS NORMAL OPERATION OF THE MANUAL LOCK CONTROL AND LOCKS PASSENGERS INTO THE VEHICLE. WITH THE FAILURE, THE MANUAL LOCK CONTROL HAS HIGH MECHANICAL RESISTANCE AND IMMEDIATELY RETURNS TO THE LOCK POSITION AFTER ATTEMPTING TO UNLOCK. THIS POWER LOCK FAILURE IS NOT NOT FAIL SAFE, AND CREATES A SAFETY HAZARD AS IT IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO UNLOCK AND THEN OPEN THE DOOR BEFORE THE DOOR LOCKS ITSELF. EXITING THE VEHICLE IN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS SUCH AS AN ACCIDENT IS COMPROMISED AS PASSENGERS ARE LOCKED INTO THE VEHICLE. I RESPECTFULLY REQUEST THE INITIATION OF A SAFETY INQUIRY FOR THIS FAILURE TO SUPPORT A MANDATORY RECALL FOR POWER LOCK FAILURES IN 2007 AND OTHER AFFECTED YEARS OF THE HONDA CRV.
SUMMER 2015 MY A/C STARTED TO BLOW WARM AIR. TOOK MY CAR TOT HE HONDA DEALERSHIP IN WHICH THEY TOLD ME THAT MY COMPRESSOR HAD FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I REPLACED THE COMPRESSOR AS IT WAS JUST STARTING TO WARM UP. ACCORDING TO TSB #SB-12-072 NHTSA ID #10056005, THERE WAS AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR THOSE PARTS, BUT OF COURSE MY VIN NUMBER WAS NOT INVOLVED. EVEN THOUGH IT WAS THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM. I WISH THERE WAS A WAY TO EVEN GET PARTIALLY REIMBURSED BECAUSE $1,900 WAS A LOT TO SWALLOW.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE IN PARK, ALL THE DOORS FAILED TO UNLOCK. THE CONTACT HAD TO PUSH THE UNLOCK BUTTON MULTIPLE TIMES IN ORDER TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE ACTUATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. ..UPDATED 05/17/16 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED ON APRIL 4, 2016. UPDATED 10/30/2017*JS
THE FRONT AND REAR LOCKS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE HAVE FAILED. WHEN THE VEHICLE IS LOCKED, THE PASSENGER SIDE LOCKS AUTOMATICALLY SWITCH TO THE UNLOCK POSITION, REGARDLESS OF THE VEHICLE BEING STATIONARY OR IN MOTION. EVEN AFTER LOCKING THE VEHICLE, THE DOOR CAN BE OPENED BY PASSENGERS OR PEOPLE OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE. THIS POSES A SERIOUS RISK FOR YOUNG PASSENGERS WHO MAY OPEN THE DOOR WHILE IN MOTION IF THE CHILD SAFETY LEVER IS NOT ACTIVATED. I HAVE ALREADY PAID THE HONDA DEALERSHIP TO REPAIR THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE LOCK ACTUATOR, BUT AFTER THE FRONT LOCK ACTUATOR REPAIR, THE REAR LOCK ACTUATOR BROKE. IN 2015, HONDA ISSUED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY ON THE LOCKS, BUT THE EXTENDED WARRANTY PERIOD WAS ONLY A FEW MONTHS FROM THE ISSUE DATE OF THE LETTER. MY LOCK ACTUATORS BROKE SHORTLY AFTER THE END OF THE EXTENDED WARRANTY PERIOD. I ATTEMPTED TO HAVE HONDA REPAIR THE LOCKS AS PART OF THE CAMPAIGN AND THEY REFUSED. I AM REQUESTING THAT THE NHTSA INVESTIGATE THIS ISSUE TO DETERMINE THAT THE DEFECTIVE LOCK ACTUATORS ARE A SAFETY ISSUE AND A RECALL IS NECESSARY. PLEASE REFER TO CODE OF FEDERAL REGULATIONS [70 FR 39966, JULY 12, 2005] 571.206 STANDARD NO. 206; DOOR LOCKS AND DOOR RETENTION COMPONENTS. -S4.1.3.2 SIDE REAR DOOR LOCKS. IN PASSENGER CARS AND MULTIPURPOSE PASSENGER VEHICLES, WHEN THE LOCKING MECHANISM IS ENGAGED BOTH THE OUTSIDE AND INSIDE DOOR HANDLES OR OTHER LATCH RELEASE CONTROLS SHALL BE INOPERATIVE.
AT THE TIME THEY REPLACED MY DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG THEY ALSO REPLACED THE DRIVER SIDE ACTUATOR FOR LOCKING THE DOOR PER AN ACTIVE RECALL AND AFTER LEAVING THE DEALERSHIP IN STATESVILLE NC MY DOORS IMMEDIATELY BEGAN LOCKING AND UNLOCKING, I CONTACTED THE DEALER WHO DID ORIGINAL REPAIR AND SAID THEY CAN DO NOTHING FOR PASSENGER SIDE, MY CAR WILL NOW NOT LOCK AND RANDOMLY LOCKS AND UNLOCKS THE DOORS, THIS WAS NOT OCCURRING BEFORE DRIVER SIDE WAS REPAIRED. PLEASE HELP, OBVIOUSLY THE PASSENGER SIDE ACTUATOR IS FAULTY TOO. I APPRECIATE YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER. I CAN NO LONGER LOCK MY PASSENGER SIDE DOORS. THIS OCCURS WHEN THE CAR IS MOVING, VERY DISTRACTING TO THE DRIVER OF AUTO
THE AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKING SYSTEM ENGAGES AND DISENGAGES ON IT'S OWN, WHILE DRIVING, SLOWING DOWN AND STOPPING, THEN STARTING UP AGAIN. A VERY "FALSE SENSE OF SECURITY" TO ALL THE PASSENGERS BECAUSE THE DOORS MAY BE UNLOCKED OR LOCKED AT ANY TIME AND THE OCCUPANTS MAY NOT BE ABLE TO GET OUT WHEN THEY THINK THEY CAN BASED ON WHAT THEY HEAR THE DOOR LOCKS HAVE DONE BY FALSELY ENGAGING & DISENGAGING.
HELLO. STARTING IN APRIL 2014, WHEN EVER I WOULD DRIVE MY CAR THE LOCKS WOUD BEGIN UNLOCKING AND RELOCKING CREATING A SAFETY ISSUE. THE ISSUE PROGRESSIVELY DETERIORATED UNTIL I WENT TO MY LOCAL BROWNS CITY HONDA WITH THE ISSUE RESULTING IN MY PAYING A $377.42 INVOICE TO REPLACE THE ACTUATOR/DOOR LOK IN MY 2007 HONDA CRV. FURTHER MOORE, IT WAS ONLY IN THE LAST VISIT TO THE LOCAL HONDA DEALER, WHERE I MADE PURCHAES THIS CAR AND A PREVIOULSY PURCHASED NEW 2010 HONDA CIVIC, AT BROWNS CITY HODA, IN GLEN BURNIE, MD 21061, THAT A SERVICE HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE TECH ADVISED MY OD A RECALL ON THE ACTUATOR DOOR LOCK. TODAY AND ALSO ON JUNE 6, 2015 I CALLED HONDA FOR ASSISTANCE WITH DOWNLOADING THE FORM FOR A REIMBURSEMENT REQUEST, AND THE HONDA REP DECLINED ASSIST TO FIND THE FORM THEN SAID THAT RECALL REIMBURSEMENT EXPIRED ON JULY 6, 2015, FOUR DAYS AGO. NOT ONCE IN THE PREVIOUS CONVERSATOPN WITH A HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE REP WAS SUCH MENTIONED. TO FURTHER ADD INJURY TO INSULT, THE HONDA REP STATED THAT HONDA IS NOT RESPONSIBLE. PLEASE ADVISE.
THE LOCKS ARE CLICKING ON AND OFF CONSTANTLY WHILE DRIVING IN TRAFFIC AT A SLOW SPEED. THEY ARE NOT LOCKING OR UNLOCKING THE WAY THEY SHOULD. I ALREADY HAD THE LOCK ACCENTUATOR REPLACED WITH THE RECALL. THAT DID NOT CURE MY PROBLEM. MY PASSENGER WINDOW IS NOT WORKING AS WELL. I CANNOT ROLL IT DOWN AS IT TAKES SEVERAL TRIES TO ROLL IT BACK UP. THERE IS A SERIOUS ELETRONIC FLAW WHICH COULD LOCK ME IN MY CAR PREVENTING ME FROM GETTING OUT IF I CANNOT ROLL MY WINDOWS DOWN. I WILL HAVE TO GET A VIDEO OF THIS WHILE DRIVING.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BATTERY, STARTER, AND ALTERNATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 97,000.
BACK DOORS WILL NOT LOCK. I TRIED TO LOCK THEM MANUALLY AS WELL AS WITH THE KEY REMOTE AND MY BACK DOORS ARE ALWAYS UNLOCKED. THE KIDS COULD FALL OUT WHEN MOVING IF THEY OPEN THE DOORS.

WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE STARTED TO SPUTTER AND MADE A JERKING MOTION AFTER THE ENGINE AND VEHICLE STABILITY WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE CYLINDER TUBE MISFIRED AND THE COMPUTER FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT ALL OF THE DOORS WOULD LOCK AND UNLOCK WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 173,000.
WHILE DRIVING IN CITY TRAFFIC THE PASSENGER DOORS WERE LOCKING AND UNLOCKING. AT ONE POINT THE PASSENGER FRONT DOOR WOULD UNLOCK ON ITS OWN. I WAS UNABLE TO GET IT TO STAY LOCKED. THE NEXT TIME I USED THE CAR ALL SEEMED NORMAL. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS.

I CAN NOT DRIVE ONE OF MY NEPHEWS IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TO AVOID SAFETY CONCERNS, EVERY NIGHT WHEN I LOCK MY CAR, THE RIGHT REAR PASSENGER DOOR IS UNLOCKED OR LOCKED....DEPENDING ON IT'S MOOD. I HAVE READ ONLINE THAT THERE IS NO RECALL FOR THIS HUGE SAFETY RISK AND THAT THIS IS TYPICAL OF HONDA AND ITS ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. IF I WANT HONDA TO FIX THE PROBLEM, IT WILL COST OVER $700 FOR A PROBLEM CAUSED BY HONDA. SEVERAL YEARS AGO OUR FRONT PASSENGER AND ONE OF THE REAR DOORS WOULD NOT REMAIN UNLOCKED OR LOCKED, DEPENDING ON THEIR MOOD. NOR COULD WE UNLOCK THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR FROM THE INSIDE. WE HAD TO GET SOMETHING FIXED - THE LOCK ACTUATOR I BELIEVE IT IS CALLED. A FEW MONTHS BACK, SEP/OCT 2014, OUR PASSENGER SIDE DOOR WOULD NOT REMAIN UNLOCKED FOR MORE THAN TWO SECONDS, THOUGH WE COULD LOCK/UNLOCK FROM THE FOB OR THE PASSENGER OR DRIVER SIDE LOCK CONTROLS. SINCE DECEMBER, WE CAN NOT EVEN USE THE OUTSIDE KEY LOCK, AND CAN ONLY UNLOCK THE CAR FROM THE FOB, AND THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR STILL WILL NOT REMAIN UNLOCKED. NOW I HEAR THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH OUR 2007 CRV. BEFORE I BRING MY CAR IN FOR EXPENSIVE REPAIRS ON SOMETHING HONDA GOT WRONG, I AM FILING THIS COMPLAINT. AS THIS IS A SAFETY PROBLEM.. ALSO, ANYONE IS ABLE TO JUMP IN MY CAR IF I AM AT A STOP LIGHT, AND LIVING IN DC, THAT IS A DEFINITE POSSIBILITY! NOW TODAY WHEN I WENT TO GO TO WORK, BOTH OF MY FAB REMOTE ENTRY KEYS STOPPED WORKING AND I CANT GET IN MY CAR. I MADE THE DECISION TO BUY THIS CAR FOR SAFETY REASONS. NOW I CAN LOSE MY KEY AT ANYTIME OR LEAVE ME STRANDED BC THE FOB ENCASING IS WEAK AND THEY KNOW THIS BECAUSE THE SERVICE MANAGER AT THE DEALERSHIP IN MY TOWN FELT BAD AND TOOK PITY ON ME AND "REPLACED" THE CASING FOR ME TWICE NOW AND 'ONLY' CHARGED ME $40 EACH TIME. THE DOOR INTERMITTENTLY LOCKS ME OUT OR COMES ON AND OFF. I WENT TO HAVE IT REPAIRED AND I CAN'T AFFORD THE $300 JUST TO SEE IF IT'LL WORK. NOW - I LIVE IN A HIGH HUMIDITY AREA AND NO RECALL FOR OUR AIRBAGS. I HAVE A CHILD THAT RIDES WITH ME REGULARLY AND IT'S LIKE PLAYING ROULETTE. THANKS HONDA. MY PILOT I HAD TO GET RID OF FOR STOPPING FOR NO REASON WHILE DRIVING - WELL I THOUGHT IT WAS A FLUKE. HONDA IS NO LONGER THE COMPANY IT USED TO BE. HOW ABOUT OWNING UP TO WHAT YOUR WEAKNESSES AND JUST TAKING CARE OF THEM BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE BUYING YOUR PRODUCTS? SHOULD BE CRIMINAL TO DO THESE THINGS TO PEOPLE. WELL MAYBE WE WILL EITHER DIE BECAUSE WE'RE STRANDED ON SIDE OF THE ROAD IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE BECAUSE SOMEBODY KILLS US. THE REAR RIGHT SIDE DOOR WORKS THE OPPOSITE OF THE OTHER DOORS, WITH SWITCHING THE GEAR FROM DRIVE TO PARK, WITH THE REMOTE, OR USING THE DRIVERS SIDE BUTTON. ALL THREE DOORS WILL UNLOCK BUT THE REAR RIGHT SIDE DOOR UNLOCKS AND THEN LOCKS BACK UP AGAIN. AND WHEN I LOCK ALL THE DOORS THE REAR RIGHT SIDE DOOR UNLOCKS, WHICH MAKES IT UNSAFE WHILE DRIVING AND KIDS IN THE BACK SEAT OR WHEN THE CAR IS PARKED OVERNIGHT (VEHICLE MILEAGE 74,600).
