The contact owns a 2022 Honda CR-V. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V844000 (Electrical System); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The manufacturer had informed the contact of the recall. The dealer was contacted and informed that the vehicle could not be repaired due to the unavailable parts. The contact had not experienced a failure. The VIN was not available.
BATTERTY ISSUE: November 11, 2023 and February 13, 2024 dead batteries- 2 roadside assistances. November 11, 2023 battery replaced at dealership. February 13, 2024 diagnostics done on battery-not replaced. I am advised to start my car every three days to keep the battery charged-the new technology is draining the battery while the car its shut down and not in use for a period of time. To say this is an inconvenience is putting it mildly. The dealership suggested I buy a battery charger so I can handle this problem on my own.
